How McCain Could Win

It’s November 5 and the nation is in shock. Media blame it on the “Bradley effect”: Americans supposedly turned into Klansmen inside the voting booth, and Barack Obama turned up with 6 million votes less than calculated from the exit polls. Florida came in for McCain and so did Indiana. Colorado, despite the Democrats’ Rocky Mountain high after the Denver convention, stayed surprisingly Red. New Mexico, a state where Anglos are a minority, went McCain by 300 votes, as did Virginia.

First off, I could not imagine voting for McCain. He has been a go along with the unprecedented culture of corruption we have witnessed over these last nearly 8 years that have bankrupted the US:

With these claimed conservatives, it is as if one actually votes unconsciously for the opposite of what they claim. My view is that this bait and switch philosophy is intentional. The false rationalizations for the Iraq war. The long list of scandals that showed how conservative voters are taken for a ride by amoral leaders and crony’s looking to make a killing off of our country. Including our tax dollars.

Simply astounding to support more of their mess at all of our expense, yet the pandering, just trust us express stays at it. This seems why they need non rational support, the kind we have heard so much of recently in their desperate negative campaign.

The apparent impulsive pick of Palin disqualifies McCain. Is that the sign of things to come? Why would he change anything much from the current group of neglectful stewards? Where is the evidence of concern for those hardest hit by the economic crisis? Give more money back to the most wealthy? He’s pandering to the same economic and political interest parting out our nation to the highest bidder.

His campaigns catering to what is worst in human nature; to all manner of prejudice, even inditing one for their birth name, is beyond rationality. These kinds of “proof” introduce them at rallies, utterly unconscionable.

He then denies he has any thing to be ashamed of in his campaign, with the equivalent of; ‘No. It’s Obama’s fault. He’s the one with the negative campaign.’ With these new kinds of conservatives, that s the one and only certainty; blame the other guy always. This is beyond “the eyes of the beholder”, it is thoroughly disingenuous. Saying and doing whatever they can get away with, under the umbrella caveat of “a tough campaign”, regardless of ethics or civil decency by their campaign, has brought nothing but shame upon them, whatever their cause actually is. Unfortunately, their campaign seems to beckon to those who will not check facts, but are consumed by inner placed fears ready to be directed outwards.

Mavericks? Hardly. Unless that now describes unprincipled.

And then there is their party and the K Street Project*. How many ways are there to describe the antidemocratic nature of that? To try to pressure lobbying groups to hire only Republicans, sounds an awful lot like someone wants one party control, and who in that party stood up to stop it? Or the atmosphere of greedy predation on democracy swirling around the whole enterprise?

Obama was not my first pick during the Democrats primary season. I would have preferred a Dodd and Biden ticket. Since that time I have only been impressed by Obama. He will bring a whole new energy and confidence to this nation. Some of that energy will come from those who have thought of this country as only being run for and by certain people. Now all Americans can live up to America’s promise.  No more claim that “we” do not count.

America has a special opportunity here to do a lot of internal emotional house cleaning. That is a very good thing which can help bring our nation to a more conscious union than heretofore known. I have become a big Obama supporter for his able sensible character and strong leadership skills. The perfect man for the job, with the right VP alongside him.

We need a Constitutional scholar such as Barack Obama, now more than ever. Powerful economic interest are taking over the country, mostly via the more conservative party, which lets them write their own laws governing their behavior. A corruption laden paradigm that lets the wolves guard the hen house, or The Commons. While which next of our freedoms are in jeopardy if another one of those so called “Originalist” are put upon the Supreme Court? They care little of our real world, just a fantasy one with self serving ideas believed true to the 18th century.

To stop the erosion of the public social contract occurring in our nation; To reverse the divide and sell off of the nations very connecting core to an opportunist agenda filled with political cronyism as it’s patriotic wrapped in flag “value”, I vote for Obama and Biden.

To stop the use of fear and insecurity to frighten the public into submission of their rights as a free people, Obama and Biden are my choice. The odds of these right things occurring for our nation are much greater with the Democratic ticket. Period.

Not putting fear and insecurity first.

That is putting country first.

K Street Project – SourceWatch

The K Street Project is a project by the Republican Party to pressure Washington lobbying firms to hire Republicans in top positions, and to reward loyal

I know we can cherry pick from the population to find for and against on most any topic. It is the reason’s they give here that carry the weight.

The poison spewing into the campaign from the right wing is showing its disturbing intentions; to divide the nation.

The next paragraphs are to comments I was sent about this post, which claimed I was doing the same thing as I accused the others of, so all my points are not relevant. How convenient for sophistry. Fasten your conceptualizing seat belts.

And NO. Bringing this up is not doing the same thing.

If a nation or a body has cancer, something that will undo its very life; yes, that cancer might be a part of the body, but it is a part that may well eliminate the body if not addressed. Being against cancer is not being against the body, or, doing the “same thing”. Yet in some minds, it is that easy to dismiss all other presentation. I guess; nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, is all some need to feel vindicated.

But outside of a childish mental fantasy land; the argument is over what keeps a body or a nation wholesome and sound as an entity, and what will eat it away from the inside, if I or you do not resist it. Clearly when someone or cell in a body (or a nation) says only cells just like it are the real body; lets say only breast tissue, then something potentially fatal has occurred; AND SHOULD NOT BE IGNORED IF CONTINUED LIFE IS TREASURED. Addressing cancer does not, however, make one cancer. Seems obvious, but not to philosophical relativist.

The difference in nuance and complexity are lost on some, making lazy way for a small dismissive comment. I have often heard these kinds of dismissals offered by those unwilling to compare the philosophical positions offered. Instead, they present personalized “proof” implications. Often one liners or other short attention span kinds of observation.

The “turn it back trick” is so easy;  just copy what I just said, then say I just did just that! Presto!  Most any statement one wishes can be reversed when it claims a characteristic of an opposition. It’s kinda like reverse psychology. By stating what was making a point, is actually its own self defeating point, reasoned analysis can then be shut down.  Sometimes called a thought-terminating cliché when standardized to buzzword appeal.

I decided to remove the comments and my replies, since I do not do negative comments on others post, and do not intend this blog to be taken up by cartoon characters with an agenda.

I say this point above after being “proved wrong” by a philosophical relativism seemingly incapable of making distinction, yet apparently enjoying spreading their observation impairment around.

Post written after seeing a news interview with a government official holding contempt toward free thinking fellow Americans, effectively calling them anti American.

The deceptively constructed calls are alleging that Barack Obama was engaged in terrorist activity, if one listened to the contextual structure of the robo calls. This is the same tactic used to create the Iraq invasion, with the blurring of who Saddam Hussein and Osama bin laden were. Utter use of the black arts of deception. We are seeing both context and fact mixed up into the same cauldron. Then presented as wholesome truth to ingest.

The so called culture war has devolved into spiteful unsubstantiated allegation. On another front “against America”, being a liberal is now being equated with being anti American. Curiously, this implicates those making such allegations against we Americans exercising our rights to think like we want. Those dividing the nation into true and false Americans, bare the mantel of who is consciously or not; being anti-American.

The whole who is for America argument from the right wing suggest that those who think different that right wing ideologues, are now game to be tagged as being against America. This is obviously meant to impress the clueless, by being against pluralism, against diversity, and against freedom itself, under the cover of ideological rightness.

We have seen the ugly specter of nation chopping and dismantling. With the suggestion that it is small town America that holds the real or true Americans. Imagine the contempt for this nations nature, to suggest that only certain areas have authentic Americans. This kind of thinking is frightening in its tribal warfare mentality. Do some wish to be held responsible for the so called culture war becoming a civil war? They seem not to care.

What this serpentine strategy is, if allowed to destroy the nations common identity with its toxins, is against the very founding nature of America. However, it is being promoted as a means to save America, but only certain kinds of Americans need be counted. The rest of us are to be ignored, deplored, or who knows what given the against America rhetoric; locked into internment camps?

For the toxin to work, some Americans will need to be convinced to unwind the fabric of the flag. Instead of Old Glory; they will be waving the bleached white flag of surrender to that which is against us.

Here are some other comments on the issues I have raised.

Six words to describe this debate…

Mostly the same old same old.

McCain claims Obama is responsible for the negative campaign. Claims Obama does not repudiate nasty negative comments like he always does.

Does “pals around with terrorist.” ring a bell? Has McCain repudiated, who is it? HIS RUNNING MATE!

That answer we would expect from these maverick excuse experts?; ‘You made Me pick her!’ Why don’t you acknowledge the facts Senator Obama?

Oh yeah. And why do you suspiciously pal around and go shopping with terrorist anyway?  America wants to know how lovey dovey you two really are.

My point! Game! Match!’

Just do not compare image leading innuendo to the facts. Most of McCains accusations can be turned right back at him. His whole campaign seems to be, ignore reality; ‘down with tax and government! Fixing everything easy!  I know how to do it. I am way better than that one! Trust me! I put the country first!’

Look rabbits!

But first in what respect? I have not seen the answers that are needed from the wishful thinking express. Just a lot of calls out to fantasy over reality.

Obama remained composed and to the points more directly than McCain’s constant string along talking point express regurgitation’s.

McCain claims everything magically fixes itself with desire and nonspecific know-how for free; he knows how to do it.

McCain claimed the cognitive conceptual trick of continually suggesting that the most fortunate in a culture do not need to pay for their commensurate impacts on society. Even suggesting that there is an extenuating accountability, is tag framed as “class warfare”, while windfall profit and other wealth excess is not, apparently, redistribution of wealth from society to the individual. That redistributiont is sanctified as earning, which this amorphous individual can then go do whatever they wish with no concerns for the Commons that sustains life itself. How conservatism actually abhors full self responsibility.

Addressing our common issues in society, might involve that demonized redistribution of wealth code phrase still being used to shoot society in the foot.

So not gonna happen. Good luck you all. You are on your own. Hope you have some asphalt to pave the road you use to work. I happen to own an asphalt company. I got just what you need. How fortunate you are! Magic….(disclaimer; I do not own an asphalt co.)

Magic economic perspective from the conservatives to the very wealthy elite is the answer, period. Everything else I guess will magically fix itself. That philosophy had been great with its elite bias. Notice how this wealth distribution going to China and Saudi Arabia, are suddenly wealth redistribution to take serious notice of? Hum? Seems dependent on who the super-rich are, and not their effects on the Commons. Do not look behind the curtains! OZ has spoken-

If you missed the debate, an abbreviated version is below. That Batman character seems to pal around with…

In Presidential Debates; Reality still seeming to hold sway

Battle for those independent voters who seem to wait on a Pivot Point of Perception to tip their sense of gravity to one side or another.  How curious.

The cameras were on the mud throwing going on in the infield of the campaigns of late. That mostly from the angry and desperate right fielders. (McCain 100% negative adds; Obama 33%). The debate basses are now loaded with Democratic hits. The fourth debate may deliver the grand slam in the bottom of the ninth.

We have seen the Republicans attempts to alter reality and perception to fantasy issues, end up striking their own players out. But in their alternate reality; they assume attacking is victory. Seems only two wild pitches are in their bullpen; throw mud, and if that fails, beg for voter sympathy.

It isn’t pretty to see the vast difference between the quality of the players involved. One side claims to automatically posses righteousness from which it cast shame and blame. The other; needing to earn respect the political hard way, fending off shame and blame and still, coming through to score. When campaigns tell teh hones truth for the American Home Team, we score. Not for the wealthy elites, the average citizen.

Not the make believe citizens where abstractions are selectively quantified to ideology, one that consumes and spits out our commons, then blames the middle class and poor for their plight. Not the one having to plead and pander to the referees to change the rules and the game to suit their misguided beliefs, then condemn questions.

But do not worry for the losing team. They can be counted on to obstruct the solutions if they do not benefit their bases one way street of perceptual prejudice. The common good, as the health of the commons itself, is viewed by predators as a feeding ground. Not Sacred Ground.

May the Democrats begin to attempt to turn our systems declines around with all our grace. It is We the People who will have to oversee them, for no party is the solution to what is ailing America and the World.

Our (my) previous announcement of a new version 7.2 McCain is being withdrawn. Instead; it is now believed that version 3 will be used outside of debates. Version 7 reinstated next debate as well.

This observer also discovered something he did not quite know he knew; conservatives, when they aren’t bullying, treat people as children, not adults. They seem to plead and whine towards audiences, or otherwise act as the stern parent scolding. I think you have to go back to IKE to get an adult one.

This may explained partly why so many followers of conservatism’s style, go for the folksy have a six pack with ya style. Then think that mature talk is elite, or otherwise aloof. They seed crops of anti-intellectualism. Many aware citizens now realize that we need intelligent and thoughtful people as heads of state.

This may also hearken back to the observation that conservatives look for someone to follow, while liberals look to someone to lead. One more passive, one more active towards the issues of the commons. Our interactive and interrelated common ground of life.

Obama behaved just as I would wish a president to. McCain pandered and alluded to most things of concern as being simple and easy; that he knows how to do that. Unfortunately; this very attitude of passivity of the will, is what brought the last 8 years the now backlogged pile of accountability’s We the People must repair domestically and internationally.

Which maverick will we see in under two hours?

The old Maverick, claiming past maverickness?

The new Maverick? Claiming looking back (except in Obama’s case) is bad. New Mavericks look forward?

Or the revamped Palin/McCain Maverick tag team? Now looking at Obama. Now playing the ropes. Now
opposite of a minute ago. So new, but the good kind of new? Flip flopping Maverick situationalism that one can trust in, cause they know one position is gonna be another another day? That familiarity maverickity that says anything to get elected that is supposed to work to get votes?

Oh. By the way. That 3 million dollar bear research in Montana that John McCain ridiculed as wasteful Washington pork. Well. It was actually more like 5 million dollars. And oops, John McCain voted for it! Do not look back, except into certain personal prison cells.

The John McCain that many thought could never decide where exactly he stood on so many issues; some liberal inclinations, and some not. He was called a maverick as a positive spin on not fitting in. Which more or less meant he was too liberal for the conservative cult train that has run down the Republican rails. Some analyst have suggested he is caught between two opposing ideological heroes, and never could marry the two.

The new McCain had to romance the right wing to get enough support to beat the est of the sorry pack they ran this year. He seems to have bought his own seduction towards the right, even going further and putting one of their clueless followers as his running mate.

Now the new version will have to “act”; as if they are virtually progressive liberals, while then claiming to be solid money makes right conservatives, with might makes right indoctrination mindsets as strength. Of course the now signature folksy you all know and love us diversion has to be used to counter the positive qualities of Obamas fresh approach to inclusion.

The challenge of the New Maverick Version 7.2 will be to claim being fresh while seasoned properly. This, while the whole baloney deli of ; Who really is Barack Obama mystery man?; must ceaselessly insist that Obama is the one who does not read reality right. Questions made up about him will be the "proof" that he is unknown. This is known as circular logic in the cult field. He thought Palin won with it, so here we may go.

The righ seems to be insisting that it was poor people and Democrats who really caused the trillions in market loss. It is a study in sophistry by corporate mindsets and conservative unaccountability. The clock ticks.

Here is perspective from Bill Maher to help counter the incitements to violence being carried on by the McCain/Palin ticket to disaster.
