Overall; fortunately Memphis was only grazed by this bullet.

Update: 7:00pm CDT July 30 2009

Presumed tornado damage at Wolfchase Mall, Memphis, east side of town, Cordova. Seems a possible EF-0.  Have not heard of injuries.

These storms may have caused more damage as they moved through Tennessee. Tornado warnings still ongoing a this time.

A tornado is now reported in Memphis.  Seems to be on the Northeast side.

4:45 CDT

Strong rotation and hook echo on one supercell now near, just southeast of Bartlett heading toward Lakeland.

4:50 CDT —-Some damage now reported within Memphis.  Police authorities unsure of degree of damage by tornado or by other winds.  This storm may have matured further after being past the main Memphis area.

Hope so, but not for communities that may be facing this storm.

AT 424 PM CDT...THE PUBLIC REPORTED A TORNADO NEAR INTERSTATE 240 AT
NORRIS AND SOUTH PARKWAY.  THIS TORNADO WAS LOCATED NEAR MIDTOWN
MEMPHIS...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 15 MPH.
