Karen Armstrong’s Charter for Compassion

Karen Armstrong was a Catholic nun for many years, and has since spent a whole lot of effort investigating religions. I was not familiar with her until last night when she was interviewed by Bill Moyer’s. She has focussed her attempt at spiritual union first on the Abrahamic religions. She says she has distilled the spiritual core idea from them, which she claims is compassion.
