Palin’s Socialism of the Northland

Important to have no shame, when shaming ones opponent with ones own behaviors.

We’re becoming quite familiar with the entire campaign policy of not practicing what you preach. The demolition derby express is noted for claiming something a positive when they do it, and a negative for their opponents when they allege their opposition said something remotely like it. Seems they will say anything to fool anybody susceptible, even when they do the exact same things they just accused others of.  Straight. Right.

{I don’t know about you, but I don’t mind my gas expenses going to bailout all those Alaskans who got over $3,000.00 apiece just for living there.  Who needs that kind of socialism anyway?  Oh wait a minute.}

What an administration of straight talk that would be; example, for the “bailout” and against it at the same time, suspending the campaign but not at the same time, ridiculing implying societies use of wealth for societal health, while one on the team is actually and actively supporting doing the redistribution! Actually doing what they just interpret from others statements as a theoretical direction, then blame them for doing. Not guessing by wild extrapolations of a phrase. Doing. The convoluted double talking express requires converts to succeed in overthrowing reality. Seems some Americans require embedded flaws in cognitive perception.  I suppose that is to fill in for the once suspended campaign, which seems to only have permanently suspended reality.

How the right must break context in half, just to fool those primed or familiar with being fooled, or the easily frightened. Perhaps what we should be fearful of is this kind of duplicitous campaigning, that puts naked ambition ahead of reality.

Quote:

The state that she governs has no income or sales tax. Instead, it imposes huge levies on the oil companies that lease its oil fields. The proceeds finance the government’s activities and enable it to issue a four-figure annual check to every man, woman, and child in the state. One of the reasons Palin has been a popular governor is that she added an extra twelve hundred dollars to this year’s check, bringing the per-person total to $3,269. A few weeks before she was nominated for Vice-President, she told a visiting journalist—Philip Gourevitch, of this magazine—that “we’re set up, unlike other states in the union, where it’s collectively Alaskans own the resources. So we share in the wealth when the development of these resources occurs.” Perhaps there is some meaningful distinction between spreading the wealth and sharing it (“collectively,” no less), but finding it would require the analytic skills of Karl the Marxist.
