Before And After Sense, OR, How Well Do I Know A Truth As Being Present Now?

Facing Life Directly One Brick Of Now At A Time?

The Wall of Now. Where did it come from and where is it going, as it seems this wall has a kind of permanence to its construction while simultaneously leading our choices down an uncertain path.

These existential ambiguities roll through relativistic ontological parameters; Where do subject and object meet? When and where do I know a thing as empirically present in my awareness? Are my cosmological and spiritual assumptions of what Is Now an honest cognition if I have no interest in my own possibilities of error in judgment?

Where is now exactly? What does my consciousness have to do with it? Did we create now out of our past, since all we discern petty much is judged against what we know? In fact, does not the simple construction of a sentence wrap the DNA of the past into a spiraling act of memory projection?  This seems to make awareness a thing that has a long tail into the past, while we assume there is not an extension into the future.

We construct our awareness of Reality, our epistemological conclusions as to what actually is, with a faith that the future is currently free of us, free enough that we can change it by doing a thing now and “seeing” how it turns out.  Riding this temporal arrow of the nature of now, we aim at being present while we are encouraged by many factors to goalatize the future a target as a futurized intention to make some next thing happen. ( Now that sentence seems to have redundancy built right inti it) This post seeks to hit some truths that exist on both sides of the present moment, that persist for some time with some relevance to doings now. Perhaps to what is valued as a value itself.

Amidst all this questioning of existence there is this assumption; That questions are examinations of Life beyond the trap of what seems obvious; That what is obvious has a likelihood of flaw particularly as we do not doubt our abilities of discernment, and that those flaws have their own meanings to self and to society, meanings that can cover the “true” intent of a definition with the sociocultural coloration of ignorance into a garb of knowing. The unexamined now is like the unexamined life, where my awareness of my impact on the world is kept in a kind of darkness for a unwillingness to know a more complete impression of truth for my own solipsistic demands of “my” emotion.

How high is It, this construction of now in my mind? How broad? Is It really a frozen moment, a photo, or do things go beyond it into the known and the unknown?  Is this unknown my feeling of freedom, where if bridal-led with a sense of constraint leads me to believe I am restricted, oppressed by constructs that direct me toward what is allowed and what is not?  What is possible and what is not?

I ask many questions here, not to propose I have all the answers to Now’s conundrum, but simple to open portals of thought into this present moment.  What of this moment is true and what is more of fantasy?  What is imagined and projected out by my assumption, my interpretation of what is occurring in The Now and what, perhaps, do I chose not to know for whatever reason be it belief or ignorance?

This illusive present moment, here one moment, here the next, but where is It exactly?  What do past and future have to do with now, it seeming both are so dependent upon the outcome?  If now is a Finite moment, sometimes called the Now Point, what are past and future to this present? And what of my, our, one and only Point Of View?  Does my event horizon of consciousness actually cross over to yours, or is the singularity of me alone, behind a kind of insurmountable wall of the perception of my conscious awareness>

Our awareness, does it not exist beyond the confines of NOWs certainty?  My memory influences my senses from the past and my senses filter my environmental insights indicating intrinsic importance to awareness, but this ability to perceive does not mean I perceive correctly once my cognition registers to me as a true view.  Right now exist amidst a myriad of interrelated/connected processes involved in space-times relativistic matrices, going and doing while I attempt to extricate one moment to call right now where I am convinced I reside fully. I have learned across space-time to have faith, to believe principles of connectedness have regularity. Yet how do I know when I have encountered some canard, a thing perhaps designed to obfuscate or otherwise confuse?

At The Mercy Of Now’s Possible Facade

We are born able and susceptible to construing patterns of being, kinds of laws that are trustworthy; I trust my foot in the air will land on something solid (usually), how do I predict this? ; That a predominance of data suggesting it is so? Same thing (thinginess?) with where I am headed, quite certain it will be there at the end of the block, and somewhat less certain; at the end of this sentence.

Our thoughts go off dancing across time as surely as a dancer on a surface, but the surface of consciousness may resemble solid sandstone, or quicksand, depending upon where the pressure falls and continues, seemingness becomes a kind of trusted standard on which to step.  We step where our senses know best by history, tending to walk in the direction of sight–where we intend to go or sensory apparatus feeds this movement through now. We assume consciousness exist now, in The Now, while not knowing the parameters and depths of now. The notion of my being, (beingness), with a self awareness we self proclaim as sentient, even including an awareness of a soul, the idea of a transcendent nature that persist beyond the physical restraints of the body. In this matrix and continuum of being present in Life our human ideas are tested for validity, and yet the standard for correctness has a problematic core; our fallibility in knowing we know enough to decide what is true from what is not.

Amidst this sea of ambiguity we are reduced and induced to deciding what to do now, and now.  We create a paradigm of consensus realities that become a prism and as easily a prison of perception from which we diagnose the condition of Reality, and then are readily encouraged to prescribe what to do now and next now, moment by moment.  With unknown skill and perhaps unknowable discernment of tool quality and performance skill-sets, we are to do something, usually a thing considered of use by society and culture.

Do I Decide What Is?

In our result oriented world; things are or are not. Ambiguity and uncertainty are considered undesirable qualities because of this decision imposed upon Reality.  We can look at many an emotional issue with a certainty in which we “see” the reality of the actions of others as conveying their intentions, then judging by what is sometimes faulty logic and erroneous evidence, acting upon that questionable self diagnosed Appearance Reality.  This degree of often likely error goes on to create its own ripples of influence into my perceived now, and likely to some degree, into the world.

We have a certain rush to judgment mentality construed as being a good thing overall.  Questions unanswered, gray zones, insufficient evidence, transitional limbos, these will often not reflect well in the goal oriented glare of the light we place upon success and achievement.  If we are to sell ourselves, as we do striving for work or attention, we usually do well to appear to know what to do now even if we have no idea in reality.  In this case, attitude, such as apparent confidence, will do more to color in the gray areas as will the truth of a matter.

We gamble on our opinions of now to get what we want, perhaps not really knowing why we want what we do.  We humans are here highly susceptible to appearances, so much so that we can see, particularly amidst our youth, how style and attitude are employed to perform as substance, especially the “looks” of power.  This pretense to knowing exist in our “grown up” constructions as well.  We have institutions that perform in what may be at times an Appearance Reality facade; judging one as being guilty to an act via some seeming preponderance of data meeting an alleged standard of proof while not intending to know what may in fact be non pejorative information.  We have executed the innocent, assuming they are guilty of a horrendous use of personal power, yet not personalized the institutions use of effectively that same power.  We can operate our reality farm detection machinery perhaps not knowing to what degree we are harvesting our own Confirmation Bias; how we imagine some aspect of now is without knowing if we actually have the correct data set, and not intending to know this truth.

We have religion, politics, construct and concept designed to further one point of view in a reality of collectivities.  When what seems as ugly weeds of cognitive dissonance arise amidst my garden of self reflection, I may pull them up and throw them away, going on to perceive my world as if these incongruities of the self never appeared, or perhaps making sure to point out the weeds I “see” in others gardens as indications of their own inferiority, for look at how beautiful my garden is.

My view of the soundness of my world view can include defects I do not acknowledge and assumptions I do not own up to. This landscape of being, where we may build high and proudly, can be, and likely is, unexamined in the nature of its accuracy.  Our ideas of cause and effect, of laws of manifestation, are likely compromised by all we do not know. We trust experts who claim to know, and beliefs we claim to know, and not wish to know if they in truth do know true cause and effect. The deep question to the nature of being human is if we want to know, if we truly intend to know what is possible, or else are satisfied floating along on currents of assumption because that’s what we are told to do, for it is the easiest thing to do, to repeat.

But For Now?

It is beginning to be understood that what appears to us to be the future influences the present moment. A kind of precognition is being documented by random number generators and other devices, detecting events before they happen now.  My awareness of now (including my own personal awareness of precognition) seem to indicate now is not as isolated a moment as we have assumed.  My awareness of my island of now may well exist in a virtual sea of now, a sea connected to All.

The institutions we create in society, and so the self, are riddled with the fault lines of these assumed truncated appearances which do not discern a truth, or at least not the truth believed. Truth is however, always ever-present even in dysfunction and error. There are cause and effect relationships depicting the nature of existence even if I am not getting accurately what they are or if they are.  For better and for worse, we marry our identities to presumptive traditions, for we assume a “thing” is already completely known for the appearance of consensus reality says a thing is so. But in reality? We may well be the forest too and not just the tree; the flower and not just a petal; more of an integral aspect of existence than just a body that comes and is then gone.

We humans lay claims upon sure truth and reality even while not knowing the ingredients of the landscape in which we flourish and perish.

The Politics of Societal Manipulation: Ignorance as America’s Guide

What do you believe? What do you stand for? What ideal would you die for?  Anything?

Most of us believe our lives stand for something, but how solid is that something, and when do our legs walk away from it?

In politics, and to some degree religion, we may argue points of view, as if we were speaking or listening objectively.  This is a big reason why the issues we argue over never seem to get solved–we are not honestly seeking a true resolution.  We are already “standing” for a point of view with its way of seeing things “true”.  The world, as well as our personal lives at times, are at the mercy of issues, but not of their forthright resolution.  These concerns in our consciousness are placed onto conceptual treadmills, often trapped by prior assumption,  where they can generate energy and attention to those who profit from conflict, along with the insecurity and fear that become the value of ignorance.

In America at least, polarization means big bucks to those who promote it.  For conflict and opposition to succeed at never quite solving our emotional dramas over issues, pretense remains in command; we pretend to seek solutions, claim to be, while things such as truth or reality become the victim of “fair and balanced” or other perspectives that include bias in their assumption of reaction.

Hearts are then not allowed to view the others involved as legitimate human beings.  Instead, others are who are mistaken, others who are misguided, others who must be convinced of their error.  When human hearts are effectively closed, restricted or otherwise truncated, many an unfounded reason can be made to appear true and obvious.

These kinds of rationalization are obvious themselves, in the political sphere, where name calling and buzz worded Thought-terminating clichés are invoked as if black magic guides to our reasonable conclusion.  Ignorance allows many a form of deception to ride in right under our radars, or even be welcomed in as a Trojan Horse.  Now days, these can even claim to be fighting exactly what they are in effect creating.  (Fascist-like authoritarian mobs fighting “Fascism”.)

We humans, as far as we know, seem to live inside out minds.  These minds are vulnerable places; we have our experiences, with how we have adapted to seeing things, and we have the outside world of others and things, which can come to us packaged by someone else.  Someone else tells us what something is.  Likely, for some reason inside out minds, we tend to accept some of these communications regarding what is, and take others with a gain of salt out in the rain.

Balancing Truth and Untruth Fairly

There is a wise old saying; “The truth hurts”.  This insight about the operational nature of truth relates to our human feelings, one might have reason to avoid being hurt; to not know the truth. The truth is perceived to be at times other than what I thought was good and true for me, or someone else thinks this is true and can see the advantage in protecting me from “the truth”. Now I might be ready to look or listen for something perhaps other than the truth, yet seeming to be good and thought of as being true.

There is something quite significant about human assumption that has us wish to not know a truth at times, but instead believe in, or even yearn for substitutes.   I contend that any substitutes to truth will create problematic relationships, because the universe is true.  If I am a true being, yet being untrue, dissonant negative consequences will seem destined.

Dysfunctions, where something other than truth is operating our perceptual program, go on to generate even more problems–naturally.  The wisdom of the ancients knew that, most religious books know that somewhere inside. Yet not knowing that, is kept fresh and (logically) dysfunctional for some reason. Lies and misinformation are sold much like commodities in the modern world. This reason, its value, would be ignorance’s worth by manipulation; using ignorance as collateral, or a capability to form public (your and my) opinion into something reality is not.  Ignorance is then framed into its fabled kind of bliss, but it is functionally the bliss of a defacto idiot.

Harsh words may at times be required to ignite a torch for seeing into places hidden as to what ignorance is enabling concepts that are false to appear good and true.

On The Ground

Recent history has indicted the US public has employed this dysfunctional dialectic: We are willing to be misled; meaning, we do not intend the truth to be our guide as a nation. We defer, instead, to things like trust and faith, ignorance entrusted to experts and authorities that has the ability to seem good while in effect supporting the bad, for they can avoid fact and reality checking and the consequence that creates.  This has the appeal of not requiring me to investigate or question the reality of public policy, including my own.  As a voter in a  democracy, I have the responsibility to know what I am doing, yet I defer to church and state to tell me what I “need” to know.  This creates an idiotic set-up to be milked indefinitely, form my own ignorance at my own and others expense while I am held unaccountable (delusional) for not “knowing” it.

Ignorance Fattened For The Kill

The pubic will, can and will be deceived for interest that manipulate The Commons, the connectivity of the things of Life, for their own individual privilege advantage.  his is a common thread of the price of ignorance throughout history. This will undermine the threads of connection, and so those threads must be blackened over to seem nonexistent.  Ideologies that promote the individual will as an alienated achievement program, can do just that.  This is controlling the conceptual context to control perception in language, then self identity.  Much modern culture has the individual evaluating oneself with comparisons to their peers; be it income, music, beliefs, or other identity tag frames–whose team you favor for instance.

{As an aside. I recently heard of a social commentator claiming that the white rapper (music) Eminem, was proved the victor by the universe, since he wrote songs and was a success for getting back at everyone whom he thought did him wrongly in his past.  Popularity translating to fame and presumably income, made him favored by the universe?  Really?  Did the universe also the promote dysfunction upon him so he could win and get back at his critics?

I do not know if human popularity is the same as the universe voting for your currently defined success.  I could steal from all who criticized me and become an iconic hero for becoming wealthy and not getting caught; still the universe giving me a thumbs up?  Did Vincent Van Gogh get a belated approval rating from the universe?  Is it a sign of approval from the universe if this post gets 5 views, 500, 5,000, 5 million?

Does views or payment from society for this post equal approval from the universe, or could it be human, and WEB structured rules of favoritism, whether right or wrong?  If I “trick” the Internet search engines to find this post much more, would it then be that much more successful and universe favored?  Illusion and reality can both claim the same concepts and be framed with the same ideas, however, one will be the more near factual truth and the other the imagined.  We must know which is which or we truly are lost.  The lost then accrue a cash value in their ignorance.

Learning from what wrong is done to one is one thing.  Getting back or even somehow, as if life were a score card, is something very different.   A definition of success might have that popular survival ID of  “the fittest” tag put to it, but we do not know if getting even or proving others wrong is a particular quality of character of the universe–just because one becomes rich and famous.  We may know some humans are valuing something.  Many of the rich and famous are in varying states of self and societal annihilation/self consumption, only there is not always an obvious entity handing them their bill or true cost to culture/commons score card.

I presume the universe is for what is right and true, with our universe given imagination in reality being subservient to those qualities, irregardless if I am claiming the universe must be on someone side judged by apparent rewards.  What I think is right and true does not constitute the same thing as what actually is right and true by universal mandate.  Humanity is at odds over its varying notions of what is right and true and wrong.   Dominating others, however, is not an exclusively intellectual or moral achievement, it is one of physics and leverage of human systems into controlling a paradigm.  The dinosaurs may have won that, but then how did “the universe” then evaluate them?

We can find in many religions these sorts of material and health promises; believe in me, or Jesus, and you will be healed.  There are now “prosperity Christians” who view getting wealthy as getting tangible evidence of God or the universe’s smiling thumbs up–God wants you to have material rewards for being a good follower.  Pavlov would be proud.  These kind of seductions for effect are classic of cults and other creeds who intend to divert questioning, while leaving the doing up to you by the evidence that puts in an appearance.

They often will produce pseudo-scientific “evidence” ‘The cancer was incurable’, or ‘The hurricane was supposed to hit our city but our prayers diverted it!’ This assumes some non erring truism to medicine or meteorology that is not actually true–a reliance upon a kind of deceptive context framing and conclusion.  This kind of false truism is being aired daily on political and religious platforms as evidence of obvious truth.  And the followers follow…

If your cancer is not cured, why, maybe you did not believe in God enough, or it can be framed in yet another way and claim you are suffering to free others from the illness, like Jesus; or maybe the universe needs you somewhere other than where you had thought.  Always a way around obstacles when critical thinking and the manipulation of result orientation are decoupled and rearranged to suit the ideology or agenda.  Putting rewards into a future life or heaven is another way of putting events into an untouchable zone where they cannot be used to critique belief or faith. Integral to these contortions is a reliance on ignorance, and a poisoning of critical thinking’s well; especially that of followers. }

Dark Sides Dawn

There is a dark side to belief and faith that is blocked from view, yet ever-present.  Belief and faith need no proof or evidence, they become inoculated against objective input, true critical analysis, or theories that contravene them.  Belief and faith tend to conserve their own value, while finding outside interest of potentially no value if one thing can be proved false about them.  This tends to create, not only a self affirming confirmation bias, but a decidedly unfair and non objective measure of judgment;–I can prove your one idea wrong with a mistake or even misconception, while my own belief, and, or faith in my ideas are not subject to any objective inquiry.  Say what you will about them I can deny your value and that of what you offer.  Ignorance accomplished.

In effect; while I can feel I prove you wrong with one idea or fact of yours cast into doubt, whether it is right or wrong, you might be required to prove all my belief and faith wrong to be felt as “equal”, yet those very notions are safely tucked away in question free zones.   Cults and many societal manipulators know this cognitive dissonant like aversion to self objectivity, where the truth might seem to hurt you if known, and can bank on using it in the general population to their distinct advantage.  Faith and belief can harbor darkness while appearing to their beholders to be only about light, redemption, and honoring time tested loyalties.

Once this change over to the dark side of ignorance occurs, we may seek validation of our choice as being a good and true thing.  This kind of self-deception by conscious diversion of awareness is often called cognitive dissonance; where we rationalize what we may know as wrong, as being actually emotionally right, or of little importance since the choice appears to serves us.  In religion this may be called temptation in the abstract, but cognitive dissonance is not necessarily always in the usual definition of that concept.

That America is open to kinds of deception in the name of the public good, is not my opinion.  For the Iraq war, the majority of Americans, by poling, thought “they” attacked us.  Another near majority thought Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin-Laden were the same person.  How is such fact misrepresentation (or possible deception) even possible? The administration knew the truth yet did not attempt to clarify the public impression of it.  (Cheney still claims to know unverified truth by biasing factual context into circular reasoned contraptions).

Actually, their policy seemed to depend on the public being misinformed and confused about the known truth, then their intention could proceed with less resistance or much objective scrutiny.  Instead, divert the issue into emotionalized swamp zones such as good citizens follow blindly, not requiring evidence because they are “loyal” or “patriotic”.  This is that old world tribalistic, follow or be shamed monkey business.

Corporate and conservative news platforms repeated the false context and false understandings conclusions throughout the lead up to the Invasion of Iraq.  This occurred even to the point of the alleged “liberal media” that was placing conservative pro war talking heads to advantage over dissenting voices by 2 to 1.  Others reduced dissenting voices to tag frames such as a small minority view, or other demeaning definition to their expression.

Those who were indicating facts for the real truth were considered far left or lacking in patriotism by most of the mainstream media.  One (Joe Wilson) had their spouses secret terror fighting position exposed as a kind of seeming retribution for exposing unverified data being used as alleged facts by the US administration.  Here is one way faith can mislead patriotic feeling to support darkness over light while not allowing objective questioning to determine factual reality and honest truth:  The Rule Of Ignorance.

What other falsity about the world does this willingness to be mislead then lend the American public to?  We choose not to know if we choose not to ask ourselves questions regarding our own forthrightness and integrity to what we hold as truth.  Not wishing to know, quite well may lend the rest of the world to not know what America may really stand for, and instead judge us by the actions that show us as being dishonest, idiotic, or just another self validating empire in the throws of decline.

And if you think only experts should question or know “the real” answers, remember those probes that went to Mars but crashed, for their math was seemingly not checked whether or not it was metric?  We have some of the Bush administration officials still claiming their old misstatements, or claiming to not know what was actually quite obvious to thinking people.  Are we really ruled by idiots, or are they counting on we to be the fools?

For what “Bright Beacon of Hope” for humanity hides behind the same old subterfuge and ignorance’s of the dark ages?  One that is not concerned whether that light is actually lit or not, true or not, real or not.  And so we can expect ignorance to have its set of self validating conceptions such as unexamined “patriotism” (“The last refuge of scoundrels”), peer-pressure ostracism/shaming, unexamined and blind “following the leader”.  That is unexamined truthfulness, and unexamined honesty.  Here is where a kind of idiocy becomes political and economic capital to social manipulators and oligarchs.

Live Free or Die.  I’ll Defend With My Life Your Right To Dissent.  Well.  Maybe Not!

In this equation of putting ones life into principles, is the difference between most of us and that 5% or so who will use their lives to back their beliefs (These, most likely in religion and the military). That 95% of the rest of us; one coercion or another will work; money, sex, or fear (families threatened for instance). This equation is known by the powers that have always been controlling populations. { I’ll refer you to the use of this knowledge in the world context in articles and web pages to follow this presentation of  mine.}

Orthodoxies, ideologies and many an ism, are threatened by the fundamental egalitarian mandate of Democracies right to vote (or the implications of all humanity being Gods children), and also the fair use of free speech, or their spiritual equivalents of compassion, empathy, or admitted connection to The Commons—The connectivity of existence.  To subdue this societal enlightenment, where ones consciousness is considered essentially equal to any other, strategies will be employed to pervert the truth of Democracies social contract platform, and to manipulate perception to create bias away from these universal notions to subjective us vs them subjugation’s.  This is a given.

To observe the conservative news outlets (many nonstop propaganda) is to hear and see misrepresented “fact” and assumption as operating consensus realities constructed of emotionalized appearances. Many right wing religious groups, for instance, seem to praise the name of Jesus, but seemingly behave anti his apparent message. (a GOP enabling group called “The Family” seems to be about reversing Christ message and turning it into a dominator ideology; one claiming Stalin, Hitler and Mao are good role models for Christian leaders)  Most religions will use their own histories to validate what they wish to see and perceive now, and not necessarily the ancient or enduring wisdom, though as a diversion of consciousness, they often claim to be conserving the authentic historical “truth”.

The Hidden Value of Word-Playing Into Ignorance

Any society is regulated by a kinds of socialism; yes, even capitalism, where the great expenses of a few are made possible by the many.  This is sometimes called predatory capitalism these days, as it seeks to eliminate public input for public good while pronouncing its own good as the only public good.  It is a fools errand of consciousness to think that somehow what I or you do, does not have any bearing on what to others do or do not do, or how The Commons of Life is impacted.  We are all integral to culture and to societies interactive capabilities.  We all own the consequence.  Unregulated individualism in the present day would be dooming humankind to self destruction—we know too much of the real world to allow one person to do whatever they wish to it.

If I poison the water table and your well comes from it.  Well.  You are paying my price with your health if you accept it or not,  while I can say;  Life is not fair.  At least I got my water stored before the rest went bad.  Good for me.  You are the failure.  This sort of individualism rationalization delusion is ongoing from conservative circles 24 hr’s a day. Essentially, most everything in our worlds are in some manner socialized.  It is just reality.

Declaring Reality Is What My People Want

With seemingly daily misstatements and errors that run uncorrected;

Folks wonder who on earth Fox News could be talking to; the blatant errors, false analogies, false dichotomy’s, out of context conceptions based on fear?  Same could be said of those who believe Rush L’s propaganda; why do some of us need false and misleading information framed into an allegedly on your side pseudo-honest common folk context?  How does sophistry delivered by demagogue‘s seem to some of us to be the truth?  They are supplying what manipulated consciousness needs to counter cognitive dissonance; disrespect for the Universal Commons of Life.  Conservatism is often a kind of mental and pseudo-spiritual addiction—the need drives the reason.

Manipulating facts by false association and framing creates an appearance reality;  A reality that can have notes in the real world, but conclusions from the imaginary; for this to work on eager ears—-

Both Reality and critical thinking ability must be debilitated, allowing substitution to be made possible in minds unplugged of true context.  Overall, on surface consciousness at least, most people (you and I) think they are following the truth.  We just might not know how or why we have the ideas of truthfulness that we do. The more we do not know our own truth-seeking context, the more we may be mislead without knowing and acknowledging it.  In a world where manipulation pays, this ignorance becomes a bankable commodity.  Much conservatism banks on many cons; intending to know you will be unable to see through the charade, for you are not allowed to question preestablished “conserved” premise.  Your mind is unplugged to some extent from both the dynamic movement of now, and quite possibly, truly sensing God.

It seem conservatism banks on this faith bias, (many liberals have their own unsubstantiated conceptual biases that avoid fact checking as well, and are thus conservative), which allows it to run all manner of deception under the individuals truth detecting radar, mostly by ushering ideas in under emotionalized ad-hominen association, or other feeling surrendered logical assumption. The other strategy for crippling critical thinking is to “conserve”  sheltered “truths” under a-priori umbrellas, which the individual is then not allowed to step out from under or see clearly through above.

Most conservatism will have shame based tagging directed at those who do not accept or seem to not accept the conservative ideology, such as; ‘Well.  You just do not accept the truth.’ or ‘You are not a true believer.’ and other like pseudo analysis killing Thought-terminating clichés, (I expect this kind of nonsense from one of you liberal socialist fascist!) that frame others into us vs them tribalism mentality.  Once someone is boxed in and pegged, who needs or is able to see the nuance and ambiguity often accompanying most human lives?  Mission deconstruction accomplished.

Extreme art imitates life?  The dangerous and wild possibilities of mass deception.

A movie “comedy” covers it; this desire I speak of to be mislead from true critical thinking ability.  That movie is called Ideocracy,  where a genetically altered population harboring very low IQ’s, is the movie’s influence pedalling scenario.  In conservatism’s kind of Ideocracy; the requirement is effectively a form of ideological self lobotomy; as in cult and conservatism’s refusal of entering into objective reality testing. The movie uses Fox news inside itself for obvious reasons, but those reasons are not likely obvious to Fox viewers, and “the liberal media” believers.  Conservative news sources seem to not expect fact checking or critical thinking amidst their presentation.  Mostly they cycle and circle logic into self affirming loops that seem to require emotional attitude to substitute as fact finding;  Circular logic.

(I personally have heard from folks who consider Fox’s often mass spun conceptually biased news as the reliable, more accurate news source!  Then, bringing up the daily deceptions running on it might elicit one of those; ‘I don’t trust any of the mainstream media actually.’)

The scary thing is; some of us need to be mislead.  We need ideas to be misrepresented, facts misrepresented, likely cause misrepresented, for we are forcing an ideology onto reality and expecting no one to notice.  Many require a confirmation bias to be in place to screen cognitive dissonant information from consciousness.

Emotional attitude, as well represented by radio’s Rush L, is mistaken as theoretical proof.  This ruse in consciousness, essential to many conservative thought/concept created paradigms, must not be challenged.  This may help explain why direct contradictions, even in the same paragraph about the subject, do not register intellectually or often create conscious discord—The conclusion is what is expected and not the factual context where truth is ascertained, or at least hinted at.

The Final Frontier Is Actually Consciousness

America seems to have many millions of folks who require kinds of deception to feel right about themselves and their cause.  Just in recent history, within the Bush administration, it was conveyed in a journalist interview of allegedly “Bush’s Brain” that they are not reality dependent. They then are actors who simply make history by fiat, or is it truth?, simply by declaring things to be so without tiresome reality checking evidence.  Yes, with much less evidence as I am using here in this opinion piece.  I am not claiming to be an unquestionable “news” source of maker of history however.

Even when it was obvious that the public support of the lead up to the Iraq Invasion was based on non accurate assumptions—–such as Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin-Laden being the same person, or the “They”, the Iraqis, were somehow who attacked us.  The conservative government had no interest in really clarifying the misleading assumptions, in fact, they depended upon them.  They are acting from belief and not from true evidence based fact. They depend on Americans to be clueless in this regard—not caring what they are told to be the truth.  If this is the case, America is under direct threat from the Ideocracy.

For stupidity to reign supreme over this land; kinds of “faith” and “trust” must be held above reason and wholesome consciousness.  In this cause, conservatism is well served and maintained by ignorance as the gold currency of societal manipulations .

WHAT IS? WHAT IS NOT? WHAT IS WHAT? WHO DECIDES WHAT IS ? DO YOU HAVE ENOUGH PROOF?

Advertising is a classic intended playground for public cognitive direction. Magic is also quite a rich cognitive twisting medium, where what seems is not exactly what is. Debate is often loaded with perceptual steering, and, boy oh boy, does politics love this!

When I said; “boy, oh, boy.”, you might have felt a pattern that began to send your impression of me into another direction. You may be right or wrong about me, but whatever your opinion, you are picking up patterns you have learned from trial and error and cultural differences in language use. Now you may be making decisions about me, quite possibly into the right direction, but maybe not.

Political discourse, and especially campaigns, are filled with ideas to steer you and I with little proof necessary. Logic tends to work on the assumptions “seeming” to be relevant to a target audience. Those who use cognitive tricks intentionally, meaning cunningly to steer perception in their direction, can be quite like magicians. I might not ever see when the trick, or reality skip occurred. Much of the whole tagging and “framing” observations of how concepts go to work on public perceptions, are reminiscent of propaganda campaigns; these trust that you are trusted not to check the facts.

Once inoculated with the “framed” assumption, I am believed by the framers to be inside a frame, a box of how things in the world on this subject are properly seen—from their desired perspective. We have seen how words get confused; such as Saddam and Osama’s were, with about half the population thinking they were the same person! Economic concepts get somewhat false dichotomies; capitalism and socialism. It even seems as though most any idea can be somewhat reversed in perceptive pattern recognition into a kind of opposite, if it is assumed long enough and by repetitive preponderance, to seem consensus reality. The seeming truth can be made of deception, while the actual truth may be conceived of as deception.

Oh no you didn’t! No. You did.

On my blog here, I often go into these meandering word and idea interpretations. “And make no mistake”; we all fall for some of the tricks. The object in a free society must be to uncover, or see through these devises, before they can render our society an object of its own misconceptions. How important is this? It is the difference between life and death. Some four fifths of the American population are said to have fallen for the “do something against those who attacked us”, reference made in regard to Iraq. How did a free society become so misguided as to who was who and what was what? Cognitive tricks for sure. The proof is history itself.

What we must then consider is; Why do those in office or guiding policy, seek to distort truth by the use of cognitive trickery? Why is the public in a free society, subject to distortion and misinformation to pollute their judgement? These are serious issues of life and death, even planetary survival. They are also issues of truth and honor, yet these “character” qualities are often exactly what is under siege by propaganda and its following of falseness. Questions to authority are called contrary or worse, during propaganda campaigns. Yet we must consider; What do I trust to come true into reality? Me operating in a desire for objectivity and completeness, or jumping into slanted unknowns being promoted for actually unknown reason? Apparently, many are not certain.

Can a free society persist when campaigns need not be truthful?

Answer; Not likely to endure.

Today we have the truth, or facts proved accurate in context to subject, denied right up front. People (politicians) are denying saying what they are demonstrated saying on tape. Or they go on to describe how they actually were saying something quite unlike it sounds, stretching pattern perception to thin threads just to re-frame, what they sure seemed to say at the time.

I have just asked you to stretch your fact checking at the door, to follow my suggestions. Reason? Not space or time to go into linking to quotes or statistics that lean my way, and not because I am saying this off the top of my head with no backup. However the truth remains, my suggestions were not backed-up unless you have seen what I am speaking of as well. Any writer has the issue of trustworthiness that is endemic to being another person with never to be fully comprehended motivations.

How to get more near to truth out in the open of society?

A free society would obviously require a decent platform for its elective officials to say what they mean exactly, and not leave that up to who has the most money or most repeaters of their frame. And no, I cannot count on myself, as one of the American public, to decipher all that is truth from falseness, especially by myself during campaigns. The platform should expose the truth and the trickery for all to see, on a Commons basis.

Present the assumptions and any allegations, exposing the theories involved in rationalizations. This requires an independent non partisan forum to allow analysis in an objective process. Then what? More honest campaigns, and presumably, voters voting for likely true policy’s instead of just perception’s of he said she said. The futrure of democracy and freedom depend on this, yet I doubt I will hear a rush to an objective format. We remain trapped in this need for information, and yet it not forthcoming, without extraordinary effort to pin down every thought on our own part.

But why then don’t we have it if it is so important?

We do not have free and fair elections, because powerful enough interest are not interested in it. They are in effect, corroding democracy to steer it beyond the public free will. That said, a few questions on philosophical relativism are in order. How do I find out when I need know the meaning of, what what means, or is is, that can help to make deception, so, well, hard to quantify?

There usually are apparent, at election times, interest interested in making the public distrust their opponents, by making them seem anti-the public. Seems a kind of obvious likely perception to try to make, to easily pull voter identity over to ones own column. I feel this tactic has become so blatant now, that it has become extreme, with words being recast into suspicions they never were meant to possess, but can be contoured to seem. That tactic can leave one with nothing honest seeming to get pined down as a truth, possibly becoming an existential relativistic shoulder shrug, when the facts of matters seem out of sight, while no one agrees where to look. I feel some of the apathy and distrust of government and politicians are from this; “Who knows what to believe?”

Words like “extreme” are thrown around, as I just did, irregardless of fact. It is at times, a words assumed impression that carries the argument. And, that I am not presenting a list of facts and examples of what I just alluded to, puts me into the relativity zone of “no proof”. This kind of one way analysis of expression, has become one of the leading means of questioning ideas by questioning evidence. It isn’t that it is not a fair inquiry to ask for backed up statistical data, but there are always points of no return to consider in any presentation. We require proof, but cannot agree necessarily on when truth is achieved. This then, puts us into even more tenuous conditionality’s.

The intention of the questioner then becomes an issue itself. Where do they consider “proof” normally in their lives? (Not to mention political debate!) Why do they not investigate presented assumptions on their own? Is that not part of what a responsible citizen is? For some reason, an unknown proof?, approx 20 % of the US population did not believe the Iraq invasion was justified. What did that 20% seemingly know that the rest of us did not?

You don’t know me. You don’t know everything. You’re not the boss of me.

Anyone speaking on most any subject, can then be accused of having not enough proof. In the Iraq presentation of Colin Powell, for instance, I heard a young man say; “There it is! There’s the smoking gun!” While others saw a distinct lack of direct evidence, and what amounted to a cartoon show. There are some “debunker” critics that I have long been aware of, but had not a name for until recently. I will call these often one point refuters, bright dust.

They show up brilliantly in pinpoint contention, as if dust in sunlight, capturing attention, yet do not amount to much but pollution. Their objective seems to be to refute a whole subject or issue on any one point whatsoever. Then proclaim the analysis, probably not in their minds favor, irrelevant. Kind of the converse of the drawings and imaginary vials are solid proof as a “smoking gun”. Which also had little evidence, but much unknown intention behind it.

It is a phenomenon I have observed for most of my life. Politics is somewhat riveted on the one point refutation, even when tied to a mistake and not an attempt at deceptive context rendering. Sophistry is quite adept at making much out of nothing. Yet they are bright with “seeming” that can be dependent upon threads pulled our from under an idea’s imperfections. The idea then called a fraud, or more accurately perhaps, intended to be shelved away as worthless. Anyone’s notions can be filed away with these proved imperfections. The possible answers to societal problems, left gathering dust.

Perceptions are being pivoted for different reasons, irregardless of the “facts” presented. This is often true of “proof”; It is tied by theory to an ideological world frame, even cosmology, no amount of “it” being enough to convince those convinced otherwise. In the above case on the reason for war presentation, perhaps; We are the good guys. We must have found some bad guys to get quickly before it is too late. It is my opinion that some of this kind of subtle infinity sickness has lead to the apathy and lack of curiosity exhibited by the public on many issues. This too is a threat to democracy and freedom.

Not enough proof may be a “fair” accusation, but often not about the subjects actually being discussed. The “point” made of a contradiction can be just a fast trick to dismiss thinking. Like those bright dusters, Colin PowelI was simply and lazily being trusted. (Me speaking here on my blog, can be dismissed on a speck of dust.) As it was then, he did not need solid evidence to be “good enough” for many so called journalist, let alone the TV watching public. I am offering opinion here for thought, claiming to connect some cognitive pattens that you will need to test, if you will care to. You may well know a lot more about these things than I.

It is often not for the best, to just take someones word on what is being said, but we do tend to trust some sources more than others for our own reasons. I suggest a little scrutiny is in order for our sources at times. Remember that 4/5ths of the public mistaken “proof” identity for Iraq? I do not know how many of the 80% of the population go around saying they were wrong on that call. I seldom here it. Instead, leaders are blamed as if we are nothing but helpless victims of what? One person? Who voted for who we got? The press? The “liberal media”? The “Corporate media”? “The “government? Which one or ones?

The response I have encountered to excuse ones own culpability’s are; ‘You have to trust your leaders.’ ‘They attacked us.’ and something like, ‘That was above my expertise call.’ I am sure there are many more, yet leadership in a democracy represents you and I. We are who are who ends up owning it. We are accountable for elected officials being in their jobs, (ignoring election tampering that is.). As it stands now on that issue; the world, the relevant public are who actually pays for such errors or deceptions. So excusing ourselves is an exercise in irresponsibility.

Enter cognitive dissonance.

A short article. Right.

Tailor made excuse machinery is the “up” side of not being held accountable, whether leadership or within the public. This ignoring of problems of accountability in self perception is sometimes referred to as “cognitive dissonance”. I often refer to it in my writing, for it generally suggest how we humans avoid being held accountable by our mistakes or misgivings by bypassing them. There is the other concept; “projection”, that seems to go hand in hand with the other, to not only avoid the perceived unpleasantness of saying I was wrong, but sending the accountability for the wrongness out to someone else. Yep. Magic. My bad is actually someone else’s bad. Such a deal!

SOME SLIGHTS OF HAND ARE MORE SIGNIFICANT

I contend, that overall, it is We the people who are often under attack from the mind games mentioned above. Not only that, but those games are now counted on to work, as they seem to have, to replace individual rights with the current ascendant rights of corporations. We have a one way street of perception in place for ostensibly economic rationalization; why the largest corporations receive bailouts, but individuals failing, get no such “reward”. This one way highway of accountability serves a societal structure coming to diminish democracy, or the importance of voting, for the success of the very wealthy to maintain their lifestyles at our expense.

Democracy has been being “played” between the concerns of the whole population, and the few who benefit the most from use of that Commons. Unfortunately, the public at large is at a huge disadvantage. Corporations essentially control lobbying influence, and the access of ideas and information to the public domain. It is just a factual imbalance that is skewing democracy, its ensuing responsibilities and freedom, to the corporate side. Who have no such requirement to accept responsibility or accountability for impacts upon our Commons, and where they do, are lobbying to remove those left.

“We the People” are being choreographed to some extent for obvious opportunistic, yet primitive reasons; Once humans are held up above others, many tend to rationalize the advantage as being either earned or born into by right. They then tend to support their structure any way they can, using the Commons by their extra enhanced access to it. We see in our campaigns, how the demonizing of government has worked to slant control of the government to corporate interest, and not the interest of the Commons, or whole of life in our place on earth.

This is done as with the Iraq war; people believing they are standing up for what is right and true. Quite why we see the political parties attempting to tag their identities to our concerns for votes, then ignoring them whenever they need to afterwords.

DO VOTES STILL HAVE MEANING?

Certainly not from some of the perspectives I hear. Everybody in politics are identical in those views. There is some difference remaining between the two political parties. But even if I state the obvious from my perspective, alarm bells will ring in some ears when one side is chosen above the other. Or, when my somewhat unorthodox assumptions bounce off of already in place tag frames thought real. I will leave that inquiry there. Anyone interested can determine for themselves which party is more “for” the Commons, and which is more for certain individuals to do whatever they want, without accounting for their impact upon us via the Commons.

The Commons, (all our environments connectivity), is ultimately, where the health of a nation and world resides.

No matter what I believe or do not believe, there is no escaping what happens to the earth or society through human action or denial. But to be cognizant of what is actually happening…

TO SAVE OUR PLANET: HOW TO BECOME A LIBERAL part 2

LIBERALISM IS NECESSARY TO SAVE THE COMMONS FROM DESTRUCTION; THUS SAVING LIFE ON EARTH

What should be obvious about conservatism’s self serving us and them mind sets, and liberalism’s universal attempts to balance the common human interest of humankind, are not. Instead, vast associations of slanted suggestion are continuously ascribed to liberalism via a relativistic corporate media bias, and status-quo authoritarian mindsets. These come flowing out from power interest to keep the imbalance in society that favor their own power, status, material and emotional perks, that come from actually leading the charge against The Commons, but conceived of as a fight for what is true and right. Abstraction can disguise a host of sins.

These self serving attempts at distorting perception and identity interest have gone as far as to inoculate some religious communities with ideas that; they cannot do wrong. Cannot make mistakes. The leaders word is gospel. Cannot include others different than themselves in respect for belief. In the socioeconomic realm, minority and other sub cultures are tagged as different and not deserving of the same considerations as “us”. Much ad-hominem emotionalize bias is often infused into buzzwords and other symptoms of the prior mentioned thought-terminating cliché.

Conservatism in the world sense, is highly subjective. It’s spiritual tenets, though unavoidably connected in some manner to reality, are group dynamic concepts. Religion can spread from where it begins, but it originates in a subjective place with respect to the other beliefs in the world. There are likely some who still believe the earth is flat, since they cannot believe in its roundness as obvious.

This is subjectivism can apply to any group or culture. This includes a basic assumption for all the worlds conservative traditional religions; that they are believed to be true or right because the individual was born into them. Literally a geographical marker of sorts. The world is whole, however, and believing it is flat because your group says it is, is to be likely against truth and The Divine Being Itself, however It’s Creation is conceived in human minds.

And this is the dramatic mistake of conservatism, to be divided against the world due to locality, and not principle or truth. It is why they are always rationalizing the ever new world, as needing to spin backwards, against the implied Way of God and Life. Conservatism equates to opposition due to subjective difference across the world. This does not make conservative notions automatically wrong.

They certainly do perceive truths. It does make it ever problematic as compared to liberalism. Liberalism seeks to bring the subjective into the light of reason, the torchlight of discerning fact from fiction. No. It does not make liberalism always right, or the sole deliverer of evidence for a perfect world. It is a way of saying yes to life’s challenges, instead of just spinning the world backward. As if reality was trapped somewhere in the past. When human beings unite into a subjective “boat”, they become well bonded if fear to the need for one another against the ever-present liberal sea.

There becomes a kind of communal bonding that occurs, when a group consensus is reached over ideas that have little basis in the factual world. A form of bonded mysticism is created. It, the belief, feeds off of the faithful agreement of others, which feeds off of the concepts alleged to be true via consensus. A circle of conceptual dependency is manifest that defines the groups “true” identity. Yet it can all be a hall of mirrors.

CONSERVATIVES SEEK TO DESTROY LIBERALISM, WHILE LIBERALISM CONDONES CONSERVATISM

The mix of conservative need to preserve hierarchical social structures, while pandering to populist conceptions to corral followers and voters, has now been equipped with cultural tagging of “our” kind of music, our kind of food choice, our kind of lifestyle, our kind of news or opinion sources. That individuals so corralled recognize themselves as such is always stealthily disguised in the “fight” against the wrongs and the others in society. This is conservatism’s dependency on other humans to be defined as bad, acting as scapegoats when the ideology does not magically make perfect peace through time. Conservatives require what appears to them to be human failure and corruptions to kept the flock ideologically in line with powers perceptions of the world.

Conservatives are rendered small minded and unable to comprehend or understand the greater world of human being and relationship, for they are walled off. There walls are painted to appear as a source of pride and belonging. The truncating of conservatives spiritual perception and sense of connection to the larger world, can be perceived by them as a bastion of order amidst a sea or disorder and dishonesty. In this conservative small world view, we now have certain Christians pining for the Rapture. A kind of contempt for others who do not believe the same, is a conservative trademark. The perverse pride in being believed to be Gods favorites, is not seen for the contemptuous and ego maniacal glorification’s of the self, in Gods name, that they are.

The forces of conservatism are bound to clash as the world becomes more and more integrated. In the stress of this conglomeration of philosophies and belief systems running into one another, conservatism offers the least malleable and least able to address the changing environments on earth and human interrelationship. This dysfunctional nature to conservative belief systems becomes a problematic scheme, for clashes of conservative paradigms could obliterate life on earth. Otherwise not acknowledging, or being responsible for suicidal practice in regard to living systems on planet earth, is not a correct response to life’s challenges to survive which we are now facing.

The tansformative spiritual necessity to forgive; forgiveness, is perhaps the most powerful spiritual deed one can manifest, yet in so much conservative establishments, forgiveness is offered only to those who act just as conservative status hierarchies would require. For love to be most real, even love of or for a Divine Being,ir must e offered without condition.

Much of conservatism as we now conceive of it, believes that God as well as rightness, or moral characteristics, can be foisted upon a population, denying the individuals meritorious path of discovering and knowing truth and how to value Its Majesty oneself. In the name of God and or goodness, Values and morals are mistakenly conceived to be imposed by society upon theindividualal; guaranteeing an immature spiritual perspective vulnerable to manipulation and demagoguery in the name of right.

Liberalism seems to recognise this fundamental error in judgement, or of judgement, tending to hold accountability to the economic functioning of society where wealth and privilege can be held accountable without moralizing. It is asrt of shame that some can be made to do the right thing monetarily toward the commons without having to be cast as bad or other.

Yet it is often with conservatism here in the US, that taxes and other balancing platforms for the common good are demonized by the right, while societies real survival needs are left to a misplaced faith in individual or corporate “success” to somehow magically addresses the needs of society. This assumes that society directly working on issues is somehow bad, or given a buzzword blindfold such as “socialism”, for thefantasy that problems will eventually be addressed by some all seeing and all good “free market”. A market that is most often fixed to benefit those who already have access, often to the point of buying out or undermining smaller businesses in the same arena. Nothing truly free about it, except free to exploit and dowhatever one can get away with and have called legal.

We all need to be liberal to give Creation a continuing chance with us. Or It will do without us. The world is one whole, it is actually not made up of us andthem’s , but rather, humankind seeking to keep and care for its home. Those who deny this are engaging in a suicide pack that intends to take us all down wit them.

ODD THING ABOUT THE TRUTH or, how to be really dumb and not know it in one easy step

Truth is an abstraction, which makes it hover above reality, not in truth, but in our ideas of it.

You may know a truth, but not know how or why it is true. We can put a truth into our interpretation of it. Now this alchemy puts the facts which make up that truth, into an imagination rendered context. If we do not acknowledge the area that is now suspicious in its factual context (our imagination), we can “see” both truth and fact as something other than what they truly are. Being that we each are in subjective respects different, with differing viewpoints on the world around us, what is true can become something of a contention, of competition and forms of denial. With all good intention, we can believe in things that are not true, while sure that they are. We can also not acknowledge this same sort of truth in others, since their alleged truth seems to arrive at differing conclusions than our own.

This relative perception of truth becomes problematic in action in the world around us. I can be sure of things that are not true, and even disrespect the views of others I presume to be false, when they actually can be true. If being wrong is OK with me, I will be lazy (or opinionated) and just project my disbelief toward that real truth held in others hands. We each are “set up” to follow falsehoods as if they were God given truth, and blame others who are actually being true, as being deceived or even fearful threats to us with their alternate explanation’s seeming to undercut our own view. This battle over truth can lead us as far as to war.

ABSTRACTIONS CAN HARBOR CONTRADICTORY OPPOSITES BUT SEEM ABSTRACTLY CORRECT

Whole histories of contention can be made real over this ignorance induced battle. Much of politics, conflict and warfare seem enmeshed in this argument over what is really reality. After a while, the persistence of the conflict can seem to be a truth itself, where essentially misleading perception, leads us to conclusions based upon the falsehood. These go on to seem as being truth, which then gets passed on via reaction and communication/learning to become cultural truisms, yet they can be as false as calling the darkness light. We actively come to belong to our conditioning to that perception, right or wrong, but feeling it is true.  Emotions often stand in for the missing in action true evidence in truthful whole context.

Humankind seems quite oblivious to the actual nature of belief and the erroneous assumption that can travel with it. If these ways of cosmological viewpoint are not subject to reality or fact checking in fundamentally meaningful ways, they can become as “sins of the Fathers”, automatically piloted on to generations to come, even when false and damaging. All being lived with and in, as if they were guiding lights of perception and behavior.

BUYER BEWARE

Since we are immersed into a culture, we can easily accept its beliefs and mores as if they were God given. These might even claim to be handed down to us by God. If we do not reality check what is sold to us by our culture, we can blissfully move forward in ignorance of what we actually do not know, but assume we do. We hold the ability to fact check, but in many ways, we often are prevented from carrying out our own investigations of the truth. Why would there be instituted barriers to questioning reality?

Blocks to investigating the truth are there to stifle ones own critical thinking skill supplied by God, or if you will, nature. Likely, for a variety of rationalized perceptual programs, the individual can be mislead by the embedded ignorance of good intentions, or the manipulative strategies of opportunistic coercion. These latter motivations are quite likely instituted to corral perception to serve those using them. Humankind has a long history of opportunistic manipulation made by power and status hierarchies who seek to preserve their superior, or alpha dog like positions. For then, reality seems, or takes on the appearance, of being made the way it is for permanent truth based reason, and not the reality that they are contortions used for the benefit of the few at the expense of the many.

SURPRISE!

It would be no surprise that most of humankind finds itself in this deceptive predicament, when our abilities to discern truth from falsehood is so compromised. It is compromised for reasons which benefit certain societal interest. I suggest that we all lose in this situation, for how can manipulators and those who exploit others, truly be said to spiritually benefit from what they do or condone? They may exhibit the trappings of power and authority, but they are in fact frauds. Yes, we essentially have aspects of fraud based culture, with fraudulent ways of perceiving others and the rest of our interconnected and related environments.

Those who divide and conquer the world, do so at the peril of their own souls. True, most of these never accept responsibility for the situation, but try to externalize shame and blame onto others who often have much less. Yet this less, is in materialism or status, and not necessarily at all, a less of the authentic spirit that all beings are born with and into. In fact, these who are the least, tend to have the most in authenticity and spiritual knowledge.

As fooling with perception as appearances can be, truth is known in the hearts and spirits of those who chose to live in Its presence, and not the smorgasbord of fantasy that so often passes inspection as success or achievement. Whole truth can be the last thing on many an agenda, for it would require one to walk through the fire of self realization and reconstitution. While the lazy seductions of material having, can have one, just as with drugs, addicted to their own deconstruction.

The truth remains constant inside and outside and all other sides of our being. We are born as children of this Great privilege. That there are those who not only ignore our commons of Beingness, but insist it does not exist by the evidence they see, know not where to look.

May we not only know where to look, but acknowledge we are that Truth looking. When we accept reality and know the roles of fantasy and imagination, as well as how simply they can be mistaken, we will have taken that great leap toward knowing. It is in this commonality of casue and purpose, that divisions are released as diffusing smoke. The Union of the One Truth made evidence as pure and unconditional Love, was always there, just not accepted for our mistaken impressions.

Obama and McCain get you what?

Though 68 percent of the population is said to now be against the war in Iraq, that about 80% once seemed to support, we must wonder what does go on in the minds of our compatriots. Why? Less than one in five of us knew what was being pulled over the public eye’s from day one.

Whatever that something is, or lack of something, if cable news is the judge, that something is going on again, in the population. Hypothetically, both candidates are said to be statistically even at the start of July. The question is; what statistics actually work and seem relevant for that massive bulk of the population that seems to be shopper citizens. They appear to be buying what is on the media’s shelves. Are they really comparing the positions of the two candidates to decide who to pick? How naive can we be? Can our democracy now withstand this shopping syndrome?

Do you actually not know what party dragged us into this economic and terror mess with all their pomp, jingoist patriotism, crony capitalism, intimidation of dissent and macho posturing? How about who took the solar collectors down? Do you still remember who was attempting to create a one party state from K Street to a rubber stamp judiciary ? How about who suppresses information and opinion contrary to its own? Those things are antithetical to democracy, and the values of freedom and liberty. Is it really a debate? Do we not know which party the country actually fares better with? Or are we just shopper citizens who do not know or question why what is on the shelves is there instead of something else?

Are we really born blank headed every minute, then pointed with our cart down the aisle? “Hum? I’m not decided yet. I’m going to be responsible and compare where both guys stand on the issues.” But what exactly are the real issues? Taxes? Abortion? Experience? Vision? How your particular job or economic interest seems to benefit? If it is this same old aisle full of baloney, no wonder less and less gets done, while the nation loses more and more. Except for that elite few of course. They know how to play the system each and every way to keep ahead. To them, that is what counts, not you. It might be smart, not just to read the ingredients on the can to know what is in there, but what is the can made of and might it not also influence the nutrition?

“Oh my word! That is just asking too much!” Really? How will one know if one does not investigate the whole context, and not just the prepared meal? Unfortunately on this question, it is democracy and freedom that depends on that investigation. Unless they no longer have any real meaning that is, other than another popularity contest designed to bypass this deeper attention.

THE TOO LATE PERSPECTIVE

That huge pondering group of decided this way, and that way the next day, that vast majority who changes their minds well after the facts are in, are in a curious and easily manipulated position which they are apparently oblivious to. They are at the mercy of double talk and Orwellian opposite speak. Are they proud of being, not just fallen off the turnip truck, but reborn every moment into a disconnected world view, where facts and reality are too burdensome to accommodate, so anyone’s propaganda barrage (or else inconvenient truths) suddenly has them rethink their prior unthought out position? ” Wait! Now I believe in global warming.” or “Oh! I’m not voting for him. I heard he’s a Muslim.”

If you are shopping and comparing to decide, God help us. For you certainly are not.

The us against them mindset is fundamentally conservative based. That said; if you are in a conservative elite or under its spell, you can claim that openness or even justice towards other ideas, is a bias against you! This is the contrapuntal check mate regurgitated in the media over and over to make stagnation of societal progress and subjective bias seem “fair”. As a society and culture, we seem confused and rendered impotent over and over, by this existential relativity claimed to be fair and balanced.

YOU MUST BE THE JUDGE

If we cannot tell human interest, the interest of humanity and this planet, from divide and conquer mentalities, we will not be able to know when the self interest of the apparent subjective (a seeming positive) is actually a negative. There are ample characters on the right and media who are served by conflict originating from the right, to “existentialize” any argument by blurring subjective and more objective truths.

Subjective truth can believe it holds the true perspective in context, and so sees facts rightly, when in fact, it does not allow objective questioning and may well not detect its intrinsic ideological bias. Ever wonder why this administration tries to purge its own party, and then America, from its truth serving dissenting voices? Control context and so the debate, thus undermining democracy.

If everyone is told the earth is flat, and only given the “experts” that agree with that premise, a status quo can go on to call the real round truth heresy, and those who speak it, heretics to be ostracised or worse. This is the power of ad-hominem pollution of reason. The corporate stranglehold on a free media has alternative perspective and solutions to problems cast into this same light. That 70% who go along with “authority” in times of stress can be “pick pocketed” like taking the proverbial candy from a baby.

ALWAYS DIVIDE AND DOMINATE

Separation based ideologies need enemies (in concept) to organize their subjective prejudice into a seemingly correct world view. But if you cannot question politics, if you cannot question religion, if you cannot question authority, if you cannot question belief in the midst of known difference and diversity, you run a very high risk of living in a lie. Diverting consciousness form knowing higher truth is the ends of censorship and external control of the free will. Division and demonization are the hallmarks, not of righteousness, but of deception.

Whole political platforms are formed to service cognitive dissonance. Their intent is to keep certain perceptions and community ideals bound to service to subjective goals of domination and control. We are witnessing a time in human development where the commons of being human, and the commons of being alive in this world of all life, is in jeopardy to predatory interest, interested in their own benefit above all else and others. If we do not know this and are otherwise absorbed in the “debates” over “issues”, we may well sacrifice the forest, to believe we are saving the trees.

One dichotomy may well be true; you are for this whole world and willing to care for and steward it, or you are against it. The victory of those against the commons, will be the defeat of us all. Some things are black and white.

SPEAKING TRUTH TO POWER?

SPEAKING TRUTH TO POWER

I have found that phrase implicitly naive. Why? It sounds like a kid saying I’m going to show them! I’m going to make a noise and get attention for a second. Then some observer says the kid is having a tantrum, but the other kids think; “Right On!”, or whatever kids think these days about identifying with their groups identity.

I’m going to speak up! Someone might hear me then. I’m going to say what everyone seems not able to say. Then I will have said it. No, nothing will change. But people will say; Did you hear what was said? I can’t believe it! Someone actually said it! They went and spoke truth to power! So there power! Take that!

What did you say!

Oh, nothing. I was talking about someone else actually. I was just passing along an opinion of what they said. That is all.

Alright then!

Next.

I am not against speaking truth to power, but in its own way, the phrase seems to me like the chants people apparently think they have to say when they go on demonstrations. Sometimes, those have the “look” of childish games, people laughing and having an entertaining event while they do it. Seems to take the true sense of seriousness away from the actual intent of the occasion. It makes it seem as though they are anachronistic and redundant, because they do not know what else to do, so they do something they know every other demonstration seems to have done. Life on automatic pilot. Then in the media it is pegged; Oh. One of those.

Saying these lines or phrases makes it kinda seem like no one is actually thinking. They are just repeating what they think they have to say. A supposedly catchy phrase that speaks you know what to you know who. The next one comes along and repeats that, and now we have a self replicating notion that goes on to occupy idle minds. Hit the play button.

My opinion of course.

I know the leftist traditionalist (conservatives) will disapprove of any self review. No one should speak a contrary truth to their assumed power point.

Religious Trouble; the God Game

After attending another interfaith meeting on the Muslim Challenge to what is common to it and Christian faith, I remain boggled at both religion and human influence pedaling on the “True one God” or “One True God” or “God and no other god”.

I was raised to accept the Catholic bureaucracy as a kind of automatic pilot God machine. It was such a machine that it nearly never had to mention or talk about the Bible much at all. Imagery, ritual, and most importantly, programing as the one true church, was all it needed. Don’t go to church and you will likely go to hell, unless right at the end you happened to have Extreme Unction?

As I understood it, the Extreme Unction thing, if given in time, could forgive your sinful self and still get you into heaven. Once again, better stay connected to the church or else you risk a forever in hell. A place of apparently eternal torture of some questionable kind.

Mystify and Dominate

My opinion on religion has evolved into this over time from researching its historical roots, my own experience and observations; most religions seem to start out with one figures extraordinary experience or apparent message from something greater than we. Many of these messages go on to become institutionalized and reassembled by followers.

Many of the rituals have precedence in previous pagan or pantheistic concepts reworked to a newly defined unified theory–one true God. But now it becomes about institutional self preservation as the prime directive. Mystical secret or expert only knowing, gets solidified by circular reasoning’s no questions to the controlling core or else, finality’s. We end up with the know for certain club of entrenched “true” believers behind a spiritual-cultural paradigm and in some cases legions of followers.

Those two originating factors may be gone by now (first spirituality’s and a vision of Divine union). The now Sacred Prophets experience is usually felt by followers to be a magnetic one, one of profound revelation of a Love that extends to all things. Religions then go on to define their particular “brand” as the true one. The originating motivations are now mere symbols of remade traditions that have an operational life and cause of their own; continuing to attract and contain followers, or else.

I have had such a transformational transcendent experience (spiritual epiphany) when I was an agnostic at 27 years old. It carried no religious imagery of any known system of belief to act as a colored lens of interpretation. I was just cast into the presence of an absolute Love for a brief moment one night when walking down a city street. It effected my perceptions for days, as if the Divine rent open the night sky and handed me a gift. I have never had that all pervasive experience since, but it did change my then only scientific view of what reality is made of.

My generic experience

It seems to leave one who has it with a mission statement, but one hard to swallow; I was wrong about so much of my life and how I see and judge things. Most of the world I am aware of, as an individual perceives it by news and ones own living of it, suggest most others are in that same boat. We bale and bale the water out our whole lives, waiting on something profound to become sure. We try to arrange our lives to have some love and meaning in it.

If we are fortunate, we might have a passionate place in society, where we are valued by family and we value others. We can also be alienated, with profound feelings of separation from others. This sense of separateness might leave us feeling unloved, possibly even in a universe which seems to not care a thing about us. We may be attracted to religious or scientific notions of what life and its limits are.

How could someone as alienated as I actually was, live up to a vision that impressed me with the sense that everything is only actually born of Love? I had never acted or behaved as such. Who was I to turn into? A preacher?–Hey! I had this experience! No! Wait a minute. Stop! Listen! I really did! Hey stop!

I could not tell others how to have a transcendent experience. My life showed little evidence that I practiced what I preached. My behavioral patterns were quite entrenched. It seemed I’d have to fix me first before my mission could proceed. Long story short; day after day my “enlightenment” receded into the background, remaining as a kind of personal talisman to spiritual experience that serves me to this day.

Years latter I had a different kind of spiritual realization. The first and only time I tried it. I had heard at a health class, the instructor telling someone, (who asked after class if he believed it was possible), how to “do” astro-projection–leaving ones body. The next day I tried it. That really shook me up, but it left me with, not a sense of Love, but one of life and awareness beyond the body. A shocking view of consciousness beyond the dust and water we are made of, again tested my notions of the bounds of empirical experience.

Like the prior profound experience, I was left with no fear of death. Many of us who are in deep ways afraid to fully live, are haunted by a fear of death. I have come to assume that is our own life in a kind of stasis waiting to be brought fully to life, as if there is a mission and our boat is not up to making that journey, so we wait in a kind of fear zone, worried over our rising water. Some religions and other beliefs say this has to be because we are always sinners, so must do everything they say to save ourselves.

BACK TO THE GOD AND RELIGION THING

This brings me back to many religions who hold that fear zone card over the head like a guillotine, saying; follow us or else. It is a powerful card to hold, promise Divine Love or at least respect and eternal life on the one hand, and a card of damnation in the other. This see-saw works between ideal or belief and the realities of experience. I (we) am usually not omniscient enough to be perfect always to my ideals and beliefs. Then if will follow that I have baggage of fallen rock in my spiritual boat that always threatens to sink me, hence the recipes of how to cast the rocks out; by rejection, types of denial, persecution of self or others, and pandering to a Divine One to forgive my Divinely created fallibility’s.

(Then there is authentic contrition, not based on damnation but on loves return releasing guilt. This is available to everyone no matter faith or not, so I will not attach it to any particular belief system, though it may be claimed by them as their special awareness or compensation.)

BUT WE HAVE TO TRUST IN SOMEONE OR SOMETHING.

It all might be of the best intentions. This can become a pseudo-spiritual headlock. Gridlock of the soul enmeshed in a surrender to apparent authorities who presumably have or are privy to more truth. We become the forsaken, since we are not allowed to truly examine spiritual tenets, presumptions and authorities. We become addicted to the cause, be it of truth, fantasy, illusion or some fusion between.

Many religious institutions were once cults of a possibly enlightened individual. They regress to hierarchical structures, ridged rules and behavioral regulations, and with the perversions of might making rights obvious or subconscious fear cards (damnation and hell). Usually various forms of male dominance over women’s apparent practical connections to the creative powers of life. These religions now come to present a kind of threat to our continuing physical existence on earth. Did not whomever’s one true God know what mischief followers would get into over the one true turf battles? Is this one true God really obsessed with judging our fallibility’s and whether we acknowledge God’s existence, or say God’s name in the “right” language?

The usual answer to questions is a circular reasoning short circuit; that– one cannot question God or “His” ways. Brain unplugged, mission accomplished!

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?

We are told we have free will so we are all responsible, yet much of government, religion and culture is often about shunting off communally unacceptable free will adventures, usually because in the operational consensus reality, harm or dysfunction result from those ideas that pop into our heads, and so need to be controlled.

Fair enough, I say. But if we are prevented from examining our taboos and laws for their continuing relevance, we are machine robots and not conscious and responsible beings. If I act the way I do because of treats or threats of punishment, I am not actually being responsible. I am essentially being forced or tortured (in future) into so doing. A Pavlovian experiment gone big time. There is little merit in mindless control, yet orthodoxies, in particular, seek out mindless (unquestionable) behavioral control as a solution to reoccurring apparent dysfunction. They literally become insulated from examining if truth itself, a living truth, is being prevented from being known, because of might makes right institutionalized circular reasoning mind control.

CONTRADICTIONS AND CREATION

There are religions out there that believe you can buy your ancestors into heaven. Imagine the controlled perceptual notions that equate money with salvation after you are already gone! But how convenient a fund raising gimmick!

Many seemingly have you in the position that if you are not perfectly conforming to books and dogmas, because of your mistake or stupidity, you will be eternally tortured by a God the Sadist-Supreme Terrorist. I wonder who could have actually inserted those notions into society for rote control? Any ideas?

While some are urged to be in constant fear over their own God given bodies and abilities, other are issued guarantees of favor now or in the afterlife, if only they do what whomever is saying to them. Many TV religious pop shows promise health and healing, pandering to the ill and a fear of death, most always followed by a God needs us to buy another satellite to pass the word. Interesting how God was kinda strapped in until writing and now rockets came to be. Now the holy word of someones liking can be spread far and wide. Of course you must send in your part of the retirement check to join in Gods mission through whomever. God, it seems, is quite dependent upon fund raising.

FAITH IN FICTION

Most of what I have presented can be described as nothing more or less than monkey business. It has all the attributes of domination and mystification–Darwinian power tricks and truths. It attempts to shut down critical (God given) critical thinking abilities. It seems to promote a highly conditional love and acceptance to behavior. It in effect, marginalizes God to human control features, requiring obedience, begging, not facing the source of ones own actual motivations, thus empowering evil as a reactionary power. It makes God out to be a dysfunctional ego addict, needing endless pandering from more unable creatures to what? Feel good about Itself? Know it has created robots who learn to suppress their own God given inquisitive and exploration abilities for a frozen in place ethos?

The interfaith meeting I started this post with is about the Muslim challenge to Christians to meet the two basic laws of Love; Love of God and Love of neighbor. In essence I am for this. However I believe much of these faiths are in the very position I was; where is the operational evidence in my own life of these beliefs?

I was privy to have experienced the union of Love across all things and apparent problems of being. I believe everyone can have this presentation given to them if it is so required. How much more noble, how much more of merit if we were to not require being dragged into the transcendent, but came to recognize it as the organizing principle of Being. Who is able to activate their own minds and hearts to get past programing and touch the fullness of Being, without being scared to dare know for oneself? This is always the problem of deprogramming from cults, just to get you own will back.

Love flows in, through and around us continually. It is I who chose to look otherwise by appearances. No matter what you or I have done or not done, It is there unconditionally, with Arms open.

This I have known, and at my most conscious, can see as obvious and true.

VIOLENCE AND SELF CONTROL

Being involved with family violence control puts me in an odd situation.

I have avoided physical fighting my whole life. Childhood became the most significant influence on this. My father had told me, and I took it as holy law, that you as a guy, do not strike women. I cannot say that my older sisters and I did not have shoving matches, but for me that would have been self defense. Our family dynamics was heavy on the mental sparing which can seem actually more devastating.

The physical violence in our house was later done, after my mothers death, by a step mother-guardian. She would not hesitate to hit, throw objects and threaten with knives. She sent my father to the hospital with a big gash across his forehead. I slept with the largest kitchen knife under my pillow as a self defense plan for a knife attack while I was asleep. She had hit me in the face while I was asleep, then locked me out in the snow in my pajamas. My father committed suicide not long after that.

Earlier I had incidences when someone seemed to be threatening my life as a freshman high school. I was literally about 100 lbs. and someone morbidly obese around 500 lbs, held me under water to near drowning during pool time in a crowded pool. He had done this more than once. It became so serious to me (swallowing-inhaling watter) that I thought I would have to take matters into my own hands. One more time, and I was going to put him in a headlock with my legs around his neck and hold him under until it meant something. I was a totally inhibited kid and did not trust authority to do anything but blame the victim. So I had to weigh in my mind, possibly causing someones death and being called and treated as a murderer.

As it turned out, he never did that again. But I was sure it would have been me to blame and I would have felt I had no options in my own self defense. No one seemed to notice him doing this during the pool commotion, so I believed no one would accept my story. It just never came through to experience. In physical confrontations during boyhood, I found I had to keep the potential for rage out of me, especially since I had no doubt that I would take down someone twice my size. It took someone quite a bit larger and older to overcome me. I was afraid of my rage and how if unleashed it would seem out of my control.

(As evidence that I am not just delusional about this strength proclamation. When it rained a lot during physical education, outdoor activities were called off and we were put into the gym, we freshmen and the sophomores, to have a thing called “bombardment”. This is where there are two sides chosen, a line across the middle of the gym, where the two sides throw rubber balls a little smaller than a soccer ball at each other. Out of about 150 students divided in two, little me was one of the last picked, last or second to last.

Well the first game I discovered that being in the lower 10% in size had me a bit afraid, so I hung back as many did. All it took was the guy next to you ducking and a ball out of nowhere taking you out, while leaving a big red mark somewhere. I decided to risk all and take it to the line next game.

You could see most of what was being thrown up front. I found out I could catch any-ones ball thrown at me, but no-one could hold onto mine. I was also very accurate. I won that game. The last guy standing. I was picked second of all players next game. The team first picking, picked his seeming best friend first, so I was first on the other team picked. The next game was the last. It oddly ended up being me the last standing on my team, and a very out of shape guy hiding and dodging in the corner on the other side when the period ran out. I could no longer throw fast enough to eliminate time for him to move. That is how little old me was as a skinny five feet two.)

TRUTH VS ADVICE

What I just said I cannot say to someone involved in family violence. As far as physical violence goes, I do not hit women. I have told ones who gave me any actual physical provocation that, “If you do that again, we are over!” I do not tolerate fighting, especially in the home relationships. I try to avoid physical confrontations with anyone. Now that I am a “senior citizen” I find you are not seen as a threat overall, or there is a kind of automatic respect. Most of that sense of being on guard is much diminished now. I take peace as my way and it path is most often open.

I have found that emotional abuse has prove a bit more difficult to not take part in, compared to a sense of law that one just never does such a thing. I grew up that way, making fun of someones mistake or being ridiculed. It is then a model of behavior I have had to contain and reverse. To do that requires a will and an understanding of the Golden Rule or Categorical Imperative. I need to establish the sense that not only does “what goes around comes around.”, but it is already damaging my life. Abusing others in any way is profoundly self abuse.

I need to see (learn to recognize) when I am treating another like I would not wish to be treated, and immediately review what my self respect or control problem really is. We are often given the information from another that we are on some kind of attack and they becoming defensive, or initiating their own retaliations.

Still, when expressing guidance to someone, it will often fall flat if it is preached or describes as something I am so above, and can’t understand how someone could do such a thing. That fits as a key with very few dysfunctional programs. I have to speak out of and through my own life, the love in your heart has to be in it, to be a gift expected to have a chance at being received.

PROGRESSIVE OR REACTIONARY

In some ways I have described political tactics and ways of manipulation. All manipulation is in some way an abuse of the truth. Its vibrational disturbance will not go unnoticed, except perhaps, by like minded dysfunction. The same situations and rationalizations that come to effect home life are used in the greater life of our world. Even if everyone does it, doesn’t make it right.

We will find manipulative arguments covered if various guises meant to hide their intention, and instead, be represented as your own interest. Fear and insecurity are great hiding places for manipulative interest. Optimistic vision can also be used as a trick to catch someones interest, then later prove to have been a ruse. We need to be both critically minded on the one hand, and have our heart held out open in the other. True adults can do this.

The upcoming election seems to be being based on fear and insecurity vs. hope and optimism, both of these being held as paramount in differing ways by the candidates. I am not saying that we are not justified in having these inclinations. What I am encouraging is the “true believers” and the doubtful to have their wits about them. As citizens and voters, it is up to us to determine the fact from fiction, the hidden agendas from the promises of safety and security. For power will seek to inject its corruptions into all areas of life if let be.

We each are freedom, love, and truths best and last hopes. Better to stand with understanding under their tall light, than the ignorance that festers in the shadows of misunderstanding.

THE OLD SWITCHEROO

I USED TO SUPPORT THAT ONE, BUT, now that I have discovered how they really are, I just joined the other side.

I just read a post to this effect. These sort of statements, (perhaps true occasionally?), will sprout like grass in a freshly manured lawn. There will be many letters to the editor of this nature, but I am discovering they are showing up pro and con for the candidates on the Democrats duel at the moment. Big surprise, not.

TRUE OR FALSE?

What troubles me about the one I just read is how dumb it assumes I am. (Much dumber than I actually am.) For someone who just switched their support allegedly, they sure sounded like true cult believers from way back when. The candidates spouse was praised like a loyal dog. Their policies had not a scent of being previously disagreeable, while there were the fumes of contempt for the other days hero. One side was black, and the other white, which pun included or not, had the effect of completely reversing yesterdays held beliefs. And all based in the beginning of the article on a recent nuanced falsehood discovered in the one they were supporting a minute before!? Really?

By the end of these switcheroo’s, the prior opposing side attachment is meant to be forgotten. One is to hear that now the light is seen and all the prior assumptions disappeared, and now everything yesterdays lesser choice one says is true and blue as a crystal sky with a smiling sun.

I have seen this dubious political tactic every election for presidency I believe I have had the opportunity to spend time on reading letters to the editor. They create the notion that there is a swing movement of enlightenment literally going (usually) from one party to an other. In this case the Democrats duel is thought of as being the actual battle for the presidency. Might explain why this trick is showing up now.

It seems you can fool some people all the time, but to use that as a tactic is one sorry view towards ones fellow voters. Will the carnival mirrors distortion really change my opinion? Some surely, in their eagerness to push the undecided or even decided, think the distortion will work. Sometimes these switcheroo’s are quite more sophisticated than the above one that sent off alarm signs in my nostrils. There is usually just some sour scent, a feeling of something disingenuous about the whole presentation. Really?

They were red but now they are blue? Well I liked red until I found out it was kinda like orange and who needs that! Blue is so calming! The ocean and sky are blue, and blue is even close to my favorite purple. And did you notice the trees? They stand tall into a blue sky! And once the sun finally wakes up the sky is blue! Don’t you think blue walls are calming? I sure do now. Even my computers screen is blue! Wow! Why don’t you see how more connected it is to you too? Blue, blue, blue, blue…

Well. Beware of the switcheroo dogs who just come off of rolling on that nice green grass, for if you pet their coat too closely, you will need to wash your hands before consuming anything wholesome.

SELF CONTROL HAS RISEN; ascending with now.

First of all. No matter how objectively factual any others story is, it becomes told in my mind, in yours. It may be true, may be an allegorical tale, doesn’t matter, except how it matters to me.

This is a primal redeemable truth: I am not outside my consciousness, my awareness, not how I can seem to assume. This may explain how an inner focus to awareness can produce self centeredness, a solipsistic view of life where all that is important revolves around me and what I want or need or think I am. Highly alienated individuals can be self consumed by a focus concerned with only their own needs and desires.

What degree of awareness is always the same or under the influence of body dynamics, or that of outer environments? I am not certain that question is answered quite anywhere completely (exceptions being possibly meditation, prayer, or what is called at times cosmic consciousness, a sense of union with the Source of Being). Am I a modem, some simple interface between inner DNA, chemistry, memory and the unknown outer world in which I try to detect what to trust?

WHAT WE DO

It seems societies-culture has let a lot into my perception, to get its hands on my steering wheel, usually for the better but at times for the worse. These very thoughts are highly influenced by the words they must pass through, words from a historical-collective mass, language. Not to mention what mom, dad, aunts, uncles, grandparents, kids at school and siblings and all the rest had to say to and about me, and how they assumed I was someone they knew, and truly understood for a while. I might have liked some of it and not approved of some, but am left what I got.

This outer influence is powerful stuff. It is not guaranteed absolutely to be right or wrong, but it may have set up much of my parameters of outer interactions in times to come, or even my whole life. I then have something akin to an assumed self and an assumed place in life. It may be one I always enjoy, have trouble at times with, or one I find much difficulty in. Especially if heartache, stress unrelenting, and a negative view towards the happenings to, of, and in my life seem to haunt my memories and occurrences around me, I might need a change. But where can change come from?

THE POWER POINT

How can I have any control over a seeming relativity of fate that surrounds me with what I am disappointed in? How can what I have always known reverse its apparent course (or curse) and become something more wrapped around love, beauty and respect, a place of inner peace that has so far eluded me? People, Spiritual institutions, even advertisers, claim to help me to do this, but what is the fact of the mater?

THE POWER PLACE

WELCOME TO NOW!

Now is never gone from you. I am always here. Here with the Source of whatever keeps all that is going. I am undeniably connected to one vast Being. As if a drop in a stream, I may not know where I begin and end, or if those borders are actually the limiting walls of what and who I am. But no matter who the real me is, the guy writing this, I can be quite certain I have adopted notions about me that are true, false and between the two. I am in all likelihood being someone I am not, in the sense that others are in effect living through me due to the judgement’s I have let in about myself in part thanks to them. We are all in this boat. We may not come to grips with the truth that we are all in this boat together, but we are. I do not see or feel the end of the universe we are in.

Change only happens now. If I cannot change some oppressive sense I have about life, I am by inference, not being present with it. The power of being is right here in the now, with you. If I let go of my painful past assumption, I come into the new place, the place of transformation. Many religions and belief systems have a key in the now to unlocking the real me and letting go of the old one. The easiest one to grab a hold of is forgiveness. It embodies the act of present free will, to cut away deterministic like continuations.

FORGIVENESS IS ABOUT BOTH ME AND THE ALL THAT IS. IT IS ABOUT FREEDOM TO BE TRUE TO LOVE.

I believe the arts are symbols of a key to now, especially music, and particularly if one is a participant in music making. Music is one art most all humans do, and many other creatures perhaps. We could say we worship Being in a union of sound in mind and heart. It can be a participatory union with the transcendent qualities of ones identity and place, coming right out of now.

Forgiveness has this musical quality; where I am an active participant, and whatever judgement I am holding for whatever reason, is released by allowing a reconnection to occur with Source. It is cathartic because it acts like a catalyst in that way. Forgiveness is then a form of Higher Consciousness and resulting understanding, where instead of being trapped in a self centered cause, one embraces a higher Cause, which we could call a Grand Self awareness.

WHEN WALLS BUILT WITH ILLUSIONARY ROCK AND MORTAR FALL

For you, my words here are abstractions. They might seem true, but you cannot be certain I do what I say. That is just as well, since your freedom to be more present in the Now, is really all up to you. My statement that we (I), can be cut off from the fullness of present life, is quite possibly agreed with by you. The question is, how one finds that essential center when one really needs it, or if I can stay there and still deal with past and future speculations I seem required to attend to to figure out my path through life.

It quite possibly will require practice to undo past programming. Our programming is as if an addiction holds us for better or worse. One could say we are addicted to eating and breathing for good reasons we would not wish to end. Breaking harmful addictions are a matter of making a declaration to change right now, and keeping ones power there no matter the pull to fall back. That is when the present moment comes into full potential.

Harmful assumptions about life have possibly become neurally “wired” in, and require you to have some tools to rewire around the problematic issues. This may be aided by symbols, rituals, or talisman that act as reminders of where Center is and what you hold as a known Sacred Point. My self realignments can be aided by reminders of my direction when I get lost, landmarks to Home.

This has been one example of a space-time portal. A description of just one of the ways the weight of the past can be lifted from individual consciousness. It involves what we could call new but always present needs; the need for empathy, compassion, understanding unstopped by ignorance, that some of what people do to us may not be liked and understandable, but was done for what seemed to them, a sound reason, a reason quite possibly based in separation.

The separation may have originated in them, or me, or my impression. But what we call wisdom, or spiritually transcendent being, rises above the implied alienated subjective, reaching through space and time, to touch the Eternal Source. Now is that closest place, where the answer to separation is found, and the Song continues on.

Fortunately, you are right here with It. Enter at will.

CIVIL WAR HEROES OUST PREDATORS BEHIND CULTURE WARS?

{As during the Civil War, our nation is under an attack from within, but who is the adversary? And will it be the haunting of the ghost of heroic fallen Americans that drives them from their predatory feeding grounds? If only fantasy’s were true.}

I am thinking of taking conservative out of my tags. No, not particularly upset from a challenge, but getting tired of out of context idiocy being pushed around as wisdom, let alone patriotism.

I’m not linking to the post out of good taste, I am not including a trip into the mind melted mud pit. The conservatives I speak of are so brainwashed (stripped clean of nuance, ambiguity or honest introspection’s) and heart impaired, they would only see in my words, a porcupines barbed arrows quill stoke of ignorance, to even consider anything valid of mine held in their views reality. Or so I assume, may I be wrong in that.

I feel sorry for people who say things like, as I paraphrase; ‘McCain is out meeting world leaders, the Dems. are arguing, so not being presidential, equals, McCain knows how to meet leaders and be presidential.’ Context down and out for the count!

Holy Crap!

One campaign is over currently, for all intents and purposes known, another not quite until someone says uncle, or hangs on even if damage continues to add up. Kinda like the last presidential 7 years. Then, so by right wing standards; even the Dems. are being presidential, a decider who never owns up to correction, right?

When you’ve been wrong all along, while many thousands of lives have vanished, and many, many more are devastated, and your campaign is more of the same. But oops you forgot who is who and who is doing what and if the talking points of old are still, if ever were true. After all that betrayal of honesty, forthrightness and lives, and freedoms most basic premise, that truth be our guide, not doing that honest work is doing the work of the president? Correct answer!

Good enough for some.

And we wonder how we got here!

Here is something to add into the mix.

Probably, if you are an allegedly average citizen, most all your news will be coming from companies that are for imperial ambitions, owned by just a few. Frankly, they want the money to sustain their lifestyle at everyone and everythings expense, (especially discarding factual context grounded in an objective attempt at reading history), the same as many other imperialist dependent Americans, or any of humankind’s other imperialist now, or of history.

Their cognitive dissonance is that easily traced. So any old reason will suffice for being the case in that skewed or spun context; suitably presidential. If reality be made up then, of deception and diversion, then so be it. It is about what works in grandios theory and not what is truth. Here then, is the means of creation of the manipulative arts and sciences of Orwellian doublespeak.

They don’t mind deceiving to get you to be fearful enough to sacrifice reason for ad hominem fear sown security blankets. They want you to become a vultures best friend. A scared and half decaying status quo monkey, critical thinking ability impaired, rotting rights to be picked off, useless and consumed for fears command. You need to be a cowards errand boy or girl. It is easy to lead the blinded by fear, especially the blinded and thought impaired by poisonous delusions of right, who only admit wrong as coming form not being “hard” enough. This observation comes from well over half a century of conservative self grandeur thrown constantly in front of my own life to walk over to get to honest reason and truthful analysis.

If you are suckered into might makes right, too bad how wrong you can be, yet will never own up to it. Instead, you seek out like minded and heart twisted conformist to bond to an illusions base of separation and alienation. Denial and blame are constant conservative companions, their right and other right hand. We live in their constant exhaust, which they have come to call the truth; “just check the facts! No not those ones! These!”, all conveniently laid out with emotional wind vanes attached to nearly every phase.

It is a known fact; that repeat a lie long enough, it will appear as the truth, and remain so generally, even when proved to be false. And may I add; the lied to, bonded by identity to the deception, will carry out crusades to expose their now opponents seeming callus disregard for the facts. All done with no further attempts to understand nor justify actions by a review of objective realities beyond ideological borders. They will write emotional songs and pleas of honor and glory endowed by the abstractions that now only they believe they care-take.

CONTINUOUS MISSTATEMENTS SEEM VALID BY REPETITION

To think of the travesty of all the propaganda and jingoist patriotism the right wing feels all superior about. And worse still, how the young, faithful and aspiring are so easily seduced by biased sources at home or in the compromised medias of society. It won’t pay the bills of the growing ranks of the poor. It is poor comfort to the tens of thousands of families now touched by the damage to their own blood kin by the fight to control oil reserves, now blatantly suggested as cause enough for the taking. (Our economy or corporations access to resourses=nations vital interest.)

To those who faithfully serve our country, we can be proud of them all, no mater how mislead and deceived our nations defenders are often kept. But our freedoms stand even taller, for those who speak the truth to power as they say, as so many of the brave returned and maimed have had the courage to come to grips with the factual context they had been put in. They are heroes twice, compared to the stealthy mud of the propaganda machinations of defensive pro active defense=offense, still maintained by some as a just and honorable cause. Even under the false label of guilt put upon them, they speak as free women and men, because the hold a Cause Higher than so called loyalty’s to propaganda instead of truth.

To these who dare to step up to a Higher Cause even amid the accusations and ill will directed toward them from the mind blanked conformist and indoctrinated, who are kept too afraid to speak truth for themselves, or form a contrapuntal question. To these who risk it all again after having answered the call to serve us, still to rise in risk to serve us again, either in battle or to stop the never ending rationalizations for more war as good. To these our nation is forever in debt, but not as a nation of bent over sycophants and rights inhibited shivering go alongs, but as proud Americans. Proud to still, for a while, speak their truth before being hauled away to internment camps, authoritarians are always holding as a co-opting veil over freedoms real face, the one in your mirror.

While the next “conservative”smirking one (who was then being presidential by the post referred to definition?) chants an old tune to; bomb, bomb, bomb, Iran, as if it were another insultingly inhuman joke expected from right wing country clubs and gathering hole think in knots tanks. His pandering to the most callus and convoluted opportunist among us is surely the quality we have come to know in being presidential. And that itself, is what may well be causing what is wrong with America to its very core.

When making war and its carnage is material for humor, someone is pandering to the astoundingly inhuman monstrosity in someones dysfunctional state of being.

When pushing lethal buttons, joking about looking under chairs for WMD, singing little tunes about bombing our fellow humans; where kids, mothers and fathers not even for a war cast on them, will be maimed, aborted, tortured with deformities, and missing family for the rest of their lives, while all breeding more hate and resentment to us the victims to be. When this is the kind of leadership some seemingly worship as the saviors of what is good in America. I know in whose hearts the terrorist have already won. And whose soul will be covered in blackness for a few coins of gold.

I can see why they want to hide from the flag draped caskets of the fallen they keep from our sight. I can see why they hide the truth, with blood stained out of context facts, of who was the threat to us and how the ball has been so horribly dropped with corruption, gross negligence and incompetence. I can see after being seemingly constantly wrong, their loyal foot-soldiering sycophants of conservatism, lacking of conscience and connection to humanity itself, wed and thread wrongness to their very cause. Calling poison purity, and madness, sanity.

THE BLAME AMERICA (BLAME AMERICAN LIBERALS) FIRST CONSERVATIVES

I give thanks to the American founders, that the freedoms degenerating under our very watch, were once intended to not perish from this earth. They knew not the danger within would organize to disown the founding vision, until a Civil War was fought and won. That the public is increasingly now held knee deep in deception, and questioning, how being free of thought and mind, would be called aiding the enemy:

That attacking sovereign nations without proof of cause, which they founders abhorred as anti the American Spirit, would be, with the failed fourth estate, let to stand as honor, adorned with parties and joke filled toast and good times, titles and decoration. That the nation of conformity that has emerged, cannot even know what is or is not torture, nor if torture is dishonorable, defensive or breeding of more of the same to be turned upon itself.

IF FREEDOMS HISTORY ATTACKED THEIR PREDATORS

The founders would, if they could, scratch out of coffins. Overturn gravestones, march as dust risen into bodies of the memories of noble and true deed in the name of independence, storm as a front to Congress and the White House. Joining them would be those who died for freedom; the nearly countless hero’s who could not pass on their heroic nature to the nation due to war itself. These would raise the rust off of bayonets. Throng the institutions of power to out the chicken hawks and corporate stuffed wig socks all white and clean in white washed corruption. Driving out those filled in pomp and propaganda, bleaching out the constitution for one more penny.

The bellicose enablers of the new emerging tyranny would scrabble down the hollowed steps to their waiting limos. For these whole classes of leaders with nary a one with child on any front line, these would spirit away with their shame running even in front of them, and their legions of conservative fawning fear mongers, and sell outs of responsibility and accountability. To their fearful provided estate hideaways, protected by guards and the states own defense they have stolen.

The gray and the blue fallen would join hands, march through hotel halls and plush suburban enclaves. They would pass through the walls themselves, to herd the lobbyist(*) and other sell outs of democracy for coin. Perhaps they would raise up the ships of fallen heroes, to pack the golden calf worshiping cattle off to colonies where these predators and opportunist could feed off themselves, to come to understand the vile alienation’s of their nature, hidden behind flags and forsaken sacred books, as if those would ward off the karmic justice already eating away at their souls, by being aiders and abettors of separation from the Love of all Life. What goes around will indeed come around.

The very thought that joking about death, war and torture and the reasons for same, are now “presidential” is tantamount to calling a golden calf God; and tears, a crown of thorns and a spear to the side, a good sign for buying stocks in a good fall harvest.
