The Dickinson tornado of July 2009, has left us with this police video. As with the video below, the sound of objects striking the ground or vehicle are the up close indicators of the vortex in the distance.

-I’m a weather spotter, so I left this scene to call NOAA and prepare a bit since the storm was slowly coming my way. There were two known deaths and several water rescues from this storms flood.
-Here are some other video’s compiled by someone on YouTube. You can see some of the variety of tornadoes for future safety sake. Suggestion: Some might wish to turn the volume down.

{Thanks for dropping into my blog. . This information on today’s sever weather outbreak is mostly of weather info at the moment and does not go into the specific damage and any other particulars of today’s weather as it affected individuals, except when schools were being detained in Windsor Colorado.
This severe weather situation may go on for days, so if you are in the path of it, keep tuned to your local sever weather sources. The web is a great place to keep up on specifics, being that there are many valuable information sources.
Here is a place to start for the meso scale storm system likelihood analysis. Drag your cursor across sections of this blue banner below, and you will notice differing info pages.)
Tornadoes are devastating communities in Colorado, north of Denver. Now entering Wyoming
.
Watches are up for Denver area and a new one out east of there. More could happen in the vicinity tomorrow. New watch connecting to others now down into Oklahoma.
.
Aerial views show severe home damage, seems at least an F-3, in long lived tornado going into another county.
.
Same tornado is now near Laramie WY, mile to mile and a half east of town center. Killer tornado now heading in next 15 min. to near the town named Wyoming! If you are near this area by any chance, go to lowest center area of house, preferably surrounded by sturdy walls, or else into the bathtub, and cover yourself. Get off the computer now.
.
Schools in Windsor are in lock down. This is probably a response to keep people from being on dangerous roads and conditions where it is necessary to keep the roads open for emergency vehicles.
2nd confirmed EF5 since new Enhanced Fujita Scale went into effect last February. This one maxed out at approx 205 mph. Over 40 mile track, at one time 1.20 miles wide.

Many county’s around and including Saint Louis are in a flood watch.
No severe weather watches as of yet, unfortunately the day is not over. Two very large thunderstorm complexes are moving through the center of the nation. One large storm complex is moving east from East tern Kansas and Oklahoma into Missouri. The other is in Western Kentucky and Tennessee, moving in an easterly direction. Kansas-Oklahoma and Ohio are expected to be the general centers of severe weather today. Risk of severe weather will extend somewhat around and east of these areas, all the way to Western New York State.
In case anyone does not know it; there are weather radio’s that will warn you of coming storms in your areas, and the Weather Channel has a service where they will call your cell any time of day when your area is under severe weather conditions.
2:30pm,cdt. A tornado watch box has gone up in east Texas Panhandle, Western Oklahoma and central-west Kansas.
Large squall line travelling eastward across Tennessee, just passing through Nashville.
This video will show an example of a tornado forming just where the below photograph describes.
