Well.

I’m sure some never wanted the Faux News Political spin show bias to be seen as what it is. Not that MSNBC doesn’t suffer from its own breed of corporate relativism used to question facts into mere opinionated obscurities beyond resolve. I believe it is reality that has been sending the viewers increasingly to MSNBC over Faux.

But if one watches too much MSNBC, one is quite likely to wonder why so many of its other host and guest are so ‘truth is what you wish.’ ‘Hum. How am I feeling today about how things seem to be going?’, so ‘Lets see what this poll says about the importance of truth, or facts in context. Some say they are irrelevant. But when it comes to Keith Olbermann and Raechel Maddow, who most always question conservative reason and motives, unlike just about anywhere else (LINK TV and Bill Moyers excluded). One can see why the right wing extremest consider them the liberal MSM. And are carrying on their vendetta against NBC. They are about the only ones there. Real liberals that is.

If one mentions pollution by industry and lifestyle as being part of global warming, or that our government is not perfect when it is out destroying things, so who we kill and what we destroy should be examined in a still free society. LEADERS AND FOLLOWERS: Conservative and Liberal difference

(The author has spent much of his life in construction, landscaping and other related fields, with a few notable exceptions. He is not a college graduate or institutional elite.)

THE LEADERS AND THE FOLLOWERS

CONSERVATIVE AND LIBERAL MINDS; WHAT MATTERS BELOW THE SURFACE

There are basic reasons why liberals and conservatives chose the leader’s they do. A saying goes, that liberals look for leaders, and conservatives for someone to follow. This notion represents dramatically different ways of seeing the world and its relationships.

One of these philosophical paradigms is basically bottom based, the other top, regarding the choice anf point of view of leadership. These counter assumptions have a profound implication for the expectations of leadership, as well as public participation in leadership decision making in an active ongoing democracy.

Psychological techniques exist for deferring action to or from leadership sanction, depending on the philosophical inclinations held by individuals within the society. In the state of liberal democratic institutions presumed operational in the US and many other nations, the individual presumably has a right and a duty to insist upon a fact of the matter based executive, legislative and judicial branch. This presumes that a higher order of truth is attained through reason and comparison of varying theory and hypothesis. What serves this higher order of reason, then, is what serves the nation.

Liberalism and conservatism lean individual initiative interpretations into varying, and at times opposite like assumptions as to the role of the individual in the society. This effects how the individual views the presumed mandates of authority figures, as well as institutional validity. These differences can be manipulated for political gain.

There is a fundamental defect in reasoning, when for whatever reason, facts, thoughts and questions are not allowed into real time perception of life. The result is an ideological poisoning of the common waters of relationship, that inclination extends through all human cultures. We may note that it is not uncommon to have conservatism attempt to restrict debate and even consideration of concepts up for debate.

Conservatism is actually against the influence of the dynamic of the present moment upon their world view. In this respect, liberals are considered open and conservatives closed. Conservatism attempts to promote this closing as a conservation of traditional values and morés against a kind of unhinged and lose world view liberals are assumed to be under. This assumption includes the often perpetuation of traditional “spiritual” notions and paradigms that do not allow the present moment to be seen in a fresh light. This oppositional nature of conservatism places the conservative interest in the world at a kind of perpetual state of conflict and defense.

WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON IN US VERSUS THEM?

In the US, often near election times, but also during this time of the so called “Culture Wars”, we find that conservatives set up diversionary tactics toward intellectual introspection. Understanding the complexities of human situations becomes ivory tower bad, or intellectually elite aloof snobbery. To reason things out to logical conclusions which might contradict prevailing norms and beliefs of cause and effect in society is thought of as going too far.

Negative imagery is used to stereotype or otherwise “Brand” the “kind” of people who think too much, and are not living like the rest of us normal folks, who have presumably, some common sense. Bi-coastal elites, or Volvo driving latte drinkers, are all invoked to code the negative into the very ideas such people propose. Not to mention soft of crime or soft (now) on terror. I even remember it being said right after 9-11-01, that it was said by conservatives, regarding the nature of those who assaulted the USA, that there was ‘nothing to understand’.

With that approach towards a reactionary psychology setup, all manner of self deception and ignorance can be put right into the drivers seat. Fear drastically reduces the critical thinking going on in society, when society looks to institutions and leadership for course of action to reduce insecurity and threat. When it comes to blind reaction, history repeats itself over and over into cycles of violence and revenge, where one serves by reaction to validate the other.

However, conservatives claim no responsibility for any bad outcomes. The are expert at diversion of attention from cause and effect into the realms of ad-hominem reason, or wish think equals correct. Since they promote impaired critical thinking, emotion can be manipulated to link the dots to many a specious reasoning, undetectable by those thought impaired, or otherwise following the conservative cult of identity. In basic ways, conservatism behaves as if it cannot make mistakes, nor can in fundamental ways, be wrong. Now that is a mind control dream team.

Here is where real life meets the human imaginations impositions on creation, where ensuing cause and effect will transfer human assumptions on life, into the actual living processes of life. We exist in the sifting out of our own viewpoint, and what is actually true. Ultimately, this involves the difference between serving the truth or serving something below the standard of truth.

PROBLEMATIC AND PRACTICAL

In real life, most people use both of these philosophical points of view in an overlapping active dynamic, where conservative belief’s may function under a generous liberal suppositional awareness. Likewise, liberal beliefs may be gathered under a conservative mind frame, all while one thinks one is just on one of these “sides”.

There is now a strategy for society to separate these paradigms into oppositional dichotomies; a kind of for us or against us opposing mind frame. Political interest on the right, after World War Two, began to see the threats humanitarianism and humanism posed to unbridled opportunism—it greatly restricted economic predatory behavior, or how to get from others more than you yourself need give. Humans have devised many clever relationship biases to disguise a slave and owneship like state of being large segments of society function under even in liberal democracy’s.

Many values have been placed through time on human behaviors, a kind of rendering of the individual public into a hierarchical network. This has come to mean, by monetary value, that people are actually viewed as being more or less valuable than others. This stands in basic contradiction to notions of fairness and sharing of burdens. However, powerful opportunistic interest find the equivocating of humanity of great use for manipulation as well as playing “sides” off against one another to keep inequality and even oppression as necessary evil’s. But how do the obvious liberal benefits, such as stopping fascism in the war, and the prior New Deal mass actions to restore all of America, how do we paint these as bad?

The very beginning premise of them is dissected and removed. All for one and one for all, must be destroyed to divert attention from their viability. Conservative think tanks and ideologues had to open a multi fronted assault on liberalism in order to maintain the apparent necessities for hierarchical paradigms. The strategy was needed to destroy the beneficial community facts of liberalism, and replace them with a perception that liberalism’s byproduct is all things that continue to trouble the society.

These ills needed to be connected to liberalism, making them the problematic possession of liberalism, conservatism then, the logical right way out. On top of that, positive lures from materialism plenty, and or, purity of “moral” and “value” abstraction, were tilted into conservatism by loading the language to their point of view. That is the stealthy advantage of access to public perception, be it in church or the endless propaganda for materialism contained in most adds. Once an individuals identity can be pivoted to you, much of the “battle” is won. No matter how poor one might be, or how open minded and understanding, they may well be led to believe they are just like the power structure elites, sharing the very same concerns for status quo advantage and privilege over society.

A HOME FOR SMOKE AND MIRRORS

Abstraction can become the grounds where idea’s as well as beliefs can get turned around in reality, and if fact and context checking is curtailed, still be assumed to be the individuals core identity. For instance, being for war is often now assumed to be strong on defense, when in fact, starting wars or engaging in them are no guarantee of a good defense. In fact, such preemptive or aggressive biased behavior is likely to produce resentment and suspicion in the world. If that is truly defense, then, is highly questionable–, but not if you curtail questioning. We have just witnessed many years of this kind of objective questioning inhibition and the resulting mess and enormous expense. Wonder how that was possible?

The essential core liberalism of the message of Jesus Christ, likewise had to be diverted and reframed. Hammering the Trojan Horse with the protective covering of metal clad “wedge issues”, allows conservatism, and its separation identities, to be brought right into the heart and soul of compassion and empathy, conventionalizing them to the needs of us an them separation and alienation mental mindsets. Now Christ message could come to represent Christ anti-teachings, while followers assume they are following Christ Way.

It is no surprise that many conservative churches, and mega churches, follow the conservative party line, while selectively entertaining Christ mentalities for their own use and consideration. It has been the way of conservatism to protect its own hierarchical institutions, while finding the world outside of the church to be hostile and full of people needing conversion.

I have heard it described that some of these mega churches exist primarily to enforce conservative paradigms while providing the individuals with a validation of their own prosperity in a world filled with much poverty and neglect. The church validates the dysfunctional separation ideology, instilling a sense of moral virtue and righteousness to the attendees or viewers. Of course, this will be most comforting across the boards if a decent donation also is made for obvious and not so obvious reason’s. Once again, a basic liberal institution at heart, had its heart removed, veiled fear and insecurity put in its place, then the deal finished with conservative ideological programming to fill in all the blanks in consciousness. Now “true believers” can go on to be the anti message, all the while, being mere pawns in someone else’s chess game.

Leading up to the Iraq Invasion, it was noted that some 80,000 individuals had by then graduated from right wing educational programs designed to infiltrate the culture via the mass media. This had been going on quite stealthily from the public lack of view. Imagine the impact of all these sworn conservatives changing the landscapes of perception to favor their way of thinking. Why, someone hiring them would not know they came with an inbred bias. This small army just needed to all revolve around the same abstract cues and fear preservation. The mere sense of consensus can then be controlled to one side of an ideological spectrum.

Ostensibly, this whole conservative war on liberalism was devised to reject the accountability to the commons that liberalism, and even nature implies. Conservatives had the problem of disengaging the concepts of interconnection and interrelationship, then make the dots connect only to individual responsibility, and it conditional to the conservative abstract mindset. Bad had to be sown into liberal notions anywhere the word could be made to fit. The war on taxes, for example, was another front opened up some time ago, to create the impression that taxes were a kind of almost theft from the individual, who like at the Boston Tea party– appeared to have no representation but to overthrow unjust oppression. Boston Tea Party participants, however, were from the notoriously liberal Masons.

NO! NOT ME! I’M NOT ONE OF THOSE!

Once any concept is demonized by institutional insistence into the negative domain, it becomes common “knowledge”, even pride, to hold the conforming viewpoint. Many human notions are actually attempts to be in line with what is perceived to be the correct view of the day, contrary to why many of us believe we think the way we do. Relationship respect and other peer pressures work on the self image mindset 24/7. Years after Iraq was shown to not be directly connected to the 9-11-01 events in the US, a majority of the US population believed the evidence given once upon a time was still true. Truth itself was rejected for supposition.

What kind of way is that to face oneself or the world? ‘Yea. I just believe what authority tells me, I have no right to a mind of my own, so when the truth really comes out, I still will not believe it. I would rather believe in lies.’ Then that is what good Americans are made of? Who are we fooling.

Conservatives have created this whole culture and “values” conflict to divert attention from the establishments usurpation and exploitation’s of the commons. It is great to have other’s not only do ones battles for them, but feel they are on the side of truth and moral accountability as they do. Echoes of the crusades.

Once society is placed at war against itself, much war profiteering can go on and seem to be as natural as the light of day. Cognitive dissonance and other bypassing of self evaluation to truth temptations, allow these deceptions, along with a right wing cult pride machine, to have the individual be self deceived and self defeating while proudly defending abstractions that haunt themselves with insecurity. That can then be redirected outwards towards liberalism again, to provide the fuel energy to drive the individual further into abstraction and attack like action.

THE WAR ON TRUTH

Conservatism’s base, is keeping the status quo where it promotes the individual gain above society. Naturally, the wealthy and the powerful tend to embrace the notions that rise them above the rest. This is perhaps one of the institutional biases that haunts many a liberal movement or organization; that a kind of selfish self destruct incentive exist in leadership who begin to see the advantages of keeping things in the steady manner that prop them up.

The liberal belief system begins to atrophy into abstraction under this contradiction that must then be rationalized as some kind of necessity. Many liberal groups have distrust sown in from this questioning of aloof leadership, keeping them small and decentralized. It is actually a strength of thinking for oneself to some degree, on behalf of the liberal tendency to question. As history continues to show, the more powerful any group becomes, the more corrupt is its behavior, when it is translated into hierarchical paradigm.

Conservatism has a kind of opposite incentive. It is inclined to follow leadership via abstraction, not exactly needing factual realities to confirm the belief. This helps to make conservatism a “natural” for certain faith based mind-frames that have come to see loyalty as an actual test of merit in faith. This makes conservatism a much “easier” belief to hold and to sell, not much is required of one if you surrender context or fact checking to faith or loyalty. This is why it is said liberals look for leaders in democracy, while it is said that conservatives look for someone to follow.

Cults and political extremes of the left or right are often marked by this loyalty and trust in abstraction over objective truth in critically analyzed context. It should be obvious to see the appeal of this conservatism to individuals with doubt and insecurity; it promises an answer and a redemption if you only believe, if you only follow the leader.

THE WAR ON LIBERALISM IS A WAR ON KNOWING REALITY FOR ONESELF

The war on liberalism had to both seek to induce abstract connection reasoning, and seek out those who are comfortable as followers, secure in their abstractions connections toward leadership. One need only to look into the conservative movement and war machinery to see this near blinded following, and the ensuring easy manipulations of followers empowered by the conservative mindset. Loyalty and its corollary, patriotism, can be inserted as blocks to critical reasoning and truth detection. Conservatives are notorious for applying these faith based “imperatives” when questioning would reveal the truth of both insecurity, doubt and quite possibly, outright deception. Abstractions come to stand in as a king, god or idol, even to the extent of being called God, to rationalize or otherwise justify the suppression of fact and contrary theory, thus unplugging the individuals true right to know the truth of the real Universe. Abilities, presumably, that God gave us to detect true cause and effect to forward rational survival, come to be seen as properties of the devil, when thy challenge the blind acceptance of the status quo’s hierarchical model.

Humanity, humankind, is at the mercy of this vulture like predatory “picking of the commons carcass” that conservatism tends to promote in most cultures. Christianity and other religions, tend to in time, be dominated by conservative interest claiming to be about conserving the abstraction, but actually making sure things stay the way they are, or even benefit the hierarchy more. Christianity, Islam and Judaism are all under this conservative bias attack machinery designed to reinforce abstraction at the expense of reality.

Abstraction is insisted on as being the reality, so that from the conservative mind frame; what is good is us, and what is not good is them. Once ones perception is sufficiently colored, contrary colors are easy to assume as bad, or not being right. From this point conservatism these days inserts many highly paid pundit’s to keep the waters of truth murky, and responses to the issues of the commons as being poisonous, unless of course, they are about preserving the wealth and power of the established status quo interest of predatory conservatism.

Yes, conservatism is predatory as it is now in many instances. It is about consuming the commons for its own gain and not the benefit of all. It is about crippling critical thinking, consuming it, and leaving a host body of ad hominem infections of reason as the meal consumed by society and culture. It is then about, consuming the individual and the cultures right to know full truth, instead, leaving a skeleton of abstraction serving as the body in which individualism connects its frozen conservative flesh and sinew.

Conservatism should be only sold with this warning attached to it in bold lettering;

WARNING! CONSERVATISM MAY DESTROY LIVES VERY NEAR AND DEAR TO YOU, LEAVING YOU WITH PRIDE AND FAITH IN LEADERSHIP WHO CONSUME YOU ALIVE, THEN FLY OFF TO SEEK OUT ANOTHER HOST.

WARNING!
CONSERVATISM IS HAZARDOUS TO ALL HEALTH

Unfortunately, just as in smoking, many of those addicted to the conservative Brand, will go on to demand their right to smoke. Chastising those do gooders who dare suggest something is amiss with their choices, or that second hand smoke is any problem whatsoever. Avoiding accountability, and by inference, responsibility, it is the conservatives mirror shield. Those who know how to use this self defeating shield for their own personal gain in power, wealth or status, have a ready made army of followers, and plenty of cliffs to march them toward.

BELLBOTTOM PANTS AND SQUISHY EYES

It might be a young people thing.

When I was a young people, the “next” new thing to come along was of course meant for me. First bell bottom pants were just wrong. Who needs flapping down there? How embarrassing. But after you see the Beatles and all wearing them, why everything changes! Give me the future! Can I have fame and fortune and all the cool stuff bell-bottom pants give to the Beatles, not to mention the screaming young women! I’ll get some of these pants right now! Cool man! They’re flapping down there and everything! Now I am on my way to fantasy land come true. Who knew you could just buy a “look” and land right where you want? Get with the program!

Then came elephant pants or whatever they were called, and it seemed the good times were coming to an end. Uh? No. I’m not putting a fabric store down there, that is just getting nutty. Bell-bottoms slowly went away. But not after the corporations tried putting glitter, postcards, maps and such all over your pants. I even sowed leather and wrote things on my pants and jacket before it was commercially popular. Then for me it was over, like so over.

When hip-hop came along with pants that made one look like a baby in their parents clothes, I guess I was old and not into the cool aspect of looking lie a clueless slob, but they still make me laugh. My goodness, when we are young, impressionable hero worshiping and or naive, we can buy into any imagery that comes down the pike, suggesting we will be more cool, scare the nerds, or win the sex lottery, and since clothes make us powerful (ha!) gather in our fine equally cool mates for mating.

Well, as I grew older, I shed all this, keeping up with the “cool” class of lookalikes. I did not require the watch people needed to have to show they had “made it” into havedom, the car, the clothes, any of it regarding corporate framed style. BUT THAT DOES NOT STOP OTHERS FROM JUMPING ONTO ANY BANDWAGON THAT COMES ALONG!

I saw an interview with one of the original gangsta rappers who spent a lot of his life in prison. These folks are getting into their forties and fifties now. He is horrified by what he see’s as his big mistake in romanticizing gangsterism. He seems ashamed of how this once cool promoting of violence is now everywhere. He seemed to think, that partly because of him, young people are venturing into beliefs and attitude that will not serve themselves or society into the future. That fact check certainly is off the corporate marketing road map of the hip hop band wagon of today, but that does not make him wrong.

I thought this “movement” would im[lode 25 years ago when so many white kids started hero worshiping it’s dominator power over others culture. Wrong! Many a rapper lives in multi-million dollar “cribs” living the fine pampered life, while the powerless young folks worship them as real suffering hero’s. Take that! “The man!” The cynical play off of youth’s sense of abandonment, does not register with many youth, nor those who make a “killing” off of youthful desires for potency. I have found the world wide and age wide (to some degree) worshiping of hip-hop dominator attitudes, have lowered my respect for many a culture and performer. It is sad to see the world embrace a mental paradigm, that is to some extent rejected as self defeating or the way of losers by some it’s originators, who have come to feel wisdom is more of an achievement than imitation.

THE SPEND SPEND STYLE GO ROUND

15 or 20 years ago, the word “cool” was rediscovered by young people. I grew up with that as standard slang in my youth. Some of us stop using our upbringing imprinting when we get older or it no longer is in style. Well a few years back when cool came back, the kids thought their parents were pretending to be cool and “with it” by adopting the new generations secret code language lingo. Mom and dad were seen as being pandering young wannabee imitators, when actually, they may have been saying cool all along, the kids just did not notice it meant that cool. Now mom and dad were embarrassing imitative phonies.

When I became aware of wire rim glasses, I got them just for their lack of visual interference. I started wearing glasses at times (before contacts), being that they were not the visual blockage ugly dark plastic was. I still wear my old frames, large wire rim glasses for a big unobstructed view. Then when plastic lenses lightened the load, even better.

A few years back, the nerd/dork look appeared, that is how it seemed to this one of my generation. Squishy glasses came onto the scene, making people look like pinch eyed clueless corporate sycophants, ready and eager to soak up anything the corporate world put onto a billboard or add. True, kinda like seeing the Beatles and wanting to “belong” to what is happening, but pandering to mass robotic imitation just the same. But the culture went as the adds went, drilling the idea into havedom over and over until it stuck. The question remains; are you real or an imitation?

So this may well happen when you get older, if you watch the evolution, or reintroductions of style, intended to redefine what having is to those who apparently have not. Everyone jumps aboard the train to havedom, not wanting to be seen standing lost in the exhaust of the past and all.–”Wait for me! I’ll imitate everything! I swear! I’ll look just like the rest of you. Will you love me then? Wait!”–They will go and merchandise their appearance in accordance with prevailing corporate imagery, not knowing when the designers come up with this stuff, it is all about selling, and usually not a real improvement benefit. The phenomenon depends on insecurity!

Nowadays, every “rebel” subculture that appears on its own(?) is hijacked, repackaged into numerous products for those lacking in inherent style, then merchandised as the future in the now. That is how it is meant to seem to the buyers; that they will jump from their slump right into a having bump. No. I am serious! Seriously. Why do powerless white kids make up hip-hops base? It is perceived as the instant power pill. As long as domination/rebel imagery caries what seems like potency, it appeals to the have not’s as an instant road to havedom.

I do not text for instance. Decades ago I had a primitive text system on a pager, where we invented numbers and symbols to represent words or events happening at the time. I have been there and done that, but would never want to walk around with my head in my hands as a car or someone approached with an axe. Some people I see walking would never know what hit them, unless they live to feel it. Many years ago I heard Italy had a pandemic of texting going on, with near all young people walking around in their own worlds. Speculation was around as to why Americans were not into texting. I think it was said we just would rather talk on the phone. I guess that idea eventually bit the dust as we dug ourselves out of the behind the curve hole to join Europe and who knows, Uruguay and Estonia on the text bus.

I guess what I am trying to say is; look around you. What actual benefit is there to doing the next new thing? Is it worth the trade off’s? Do you even know what those are? Who reads my blog anyway?

I don’t know about you, but with all the English host on TV these days, I am getting really tired of hearing “brilliant” given to every good or different idea. I like most accents. I even wish most southerners had kept theirs, but I am amazed to see English translations given to people from England when they speak. I think; Oh come-on now, you cannot tell what they are saying? But then I must remember, that so many people here have learned American English as their second language, that “Brilliant” English might just seem like a foreign tongue.

I do wonder what brilliant is translated as since the translator has to make a subjective decision about the audience. So you just discovered the formula for making someone buy anything;–flash–corona–light burst–cool–awesome dude–whoa!–done!–dog!–amazing–you rock!–shine pants!–jack it!–photon emission!–you’re the man!–you go girl!–groovy–psychedelic!–yo!–squint your eyes–
superclafragileisticexbealidosous–. I know. I missed a few. I definitely am not with it.

HUMAN HIVE

I have lived around Africanized “killer” bees for over a decade. I grow many flowers and have many flowering trees which are often filled with the now ubiquitous Africanized bees. I was stung by one for the first time just the other day, at night. It seems I have become more sensitive to bee, hornet and wasp stings through time.

The once dreaded invasion of Africanized killer bees was not the disaster it was built up to be. They are slightly smaller and darker than regular old honeybees, and pollinate many more things. They are a wee bit more defensive, so when surrounded by them, one generally needs to be a little more cautious. They are mostly a greater threat if you are fairly close to their hive, or someone within a half mile has been perceived to be a threat. Being close to these bees hive is farther away than than being close European honeybees. Unless, as I was living on a farm with honeybee hives, they happen to tune into your number for some reason. Then they are equally aggressive quite far away from center. Eventually this post will be closer to becoming a philosophical piece which should not sting you or cause an allergic reaction, unless you are primed for one.

You, me and US.

The individual and the hive are sown together via the queen bee. It is a curious paradox of the individual initiative, under the queens umbrella will. The bee that stung me was (I believe) hit by a ceiling fan down onto me. It then was cast into a defensive mode and could not help but sting me.

I am not like some people when it comes to the why. When some things happen you may hear; “Everything happens for a reason!” However, the reason implied is often vague; perhaps suggesting a divine reason such as a moral values lesson. It is notable the lack of definition that usually follows this statement in my experience.

But straight forward cause and effect? I’m for that one. It does not necessarily exclude the former, but an available rational answer is often at hand. The ‘it happened for a reason’ crowd, often seems to be hinting at their philosophical or religious world view. They personally know this “reason” truth, while your ambiguity or questioning is seen as being lost or ungrounded. It is kinda like saying; Well the sun is overhead at noon, you who knows not cause and effect. What would be the issue or the lesson of a fact based inherently redundant expression otherwise? Anyway.

Minding the Matter

We know the human mind does influence matter by the actions we take. We also know fairly certainly, that ones attitude effects outcomes as well. We need not necessarily jump into the metaphysical bus to come to this conclusion. Humans do tend to get the results they are looking for, perhaps not consciously, but in their basic assumptions or attitude of life. We can also interpret the world and events through our ideas of cause and effect and reach any number of conclusions, not scientific necessarily, but by the impression of our lens on life.

As a volunteer for restorative justice groups, I get to experience some peoples attitudes towards life that seem to be beyond their awareness. (I suggest we all have some unawareness of our motivations at times). They do not consciously know why they do what they do, nor that they could behave differently, merely by becoming aware of their own biases in perception, then choosing to be different. I also observe these tendencies in my own life, and believe that the vast majority of us do not always know why we do what we do, but we might think; It is what I always do. Or. “That’s the way I am.” Implying I am unchangeable. Indeed, some even think to question oneself is a basic sign of weakness, rather than strength.

We are set up in more ways than one to both, serve others interest unknowingly, as well as work against our own deeper interest, simply because of our own self ignorance and the patterns of action-reaction we have learned. Likely these were modeled by someone influential and not just invented. This introduces an obvious problematic scheme into the relationship equation; we tend to believe we are more honest overall, than many others we come to know. And conversely, we may feel ourselves lacking compared to others in some ways, even envying, resenting or feeling in ways intimidated by those who seem to “have it more together”. Many guru’s represent this sort of yearning for advancement, seekers of knowing Life and Being may have. Overall, religions are constructed to seem to poses such a knowingness.

With our friends, we tend to ignore these seemingly apparent failings, or find them part of character traits, unless we have a falling out. Then in defense, we may find these once overlooked nuisances or interesting behavioral qualities, loom large as some form of deception, or serious personal failings. We can become quite good at analyzing the qualities of others, both positive and negative, yet have only vague notions of our own. I tend to have some awareness of my strengths and failings through time by results, but I may chose to value them differently depending on my mood.

Those invisible to us lenses.

I often hear people giving life a specific religious tag for the very same feeling and experiences I have. Their lens adjustment of interpretation is their belief in their brand of cause and effect. I tend to believe that there is much more than I know, for ostensibly spiritual “reasons”, however, I do not require the specific religious “tag line” to quantify it. I hardly think we know all there is to know about life and being, and am not willing to sacrifice my acceptance of this likelihood of clear reception for conceptualized tag-frames that can actually color and distort my experience of life. In that sense, my religion, my belief system, is to avoid too many fingerprints of preconception by  religions or ideologies cast on my lens. This is a sacred thing to me, and not the lack of belief or faith in that which is greater. Those who have faith in and believe as I do, may well be tagged with being non believers, agnostic or atheistic by the unknowing of the nature of this beliefs cause.

The vast majority of us have a default philosophy. It is usually relative to our upbringing; the kinds of ideas we learned and the kinds of culture we individually grow up in. This is a sort of unconscious guidance. We go to a church, or believe in a God in a certain way because we have learned to. Not necessarily that we have freely decide to. Likewise, other belief systems are inserted into consciousness by other interest. Politics may have been handed down to us by our parents. We are “imprinted” in many ways like this.

We might later on decide that some primary idea of merit has us switch “sides” to a differing view because we feel it is more beneficial to our view on life. Regardless, these beliefs can still be highly subjective and perhaps overtly wrong to our life, but we may not see the forest for the trees we plant in front of our view. The life unexamined, may well be the wrong life lived.

The Ceiling Fan

Often our sense of being, even of necessities of survival, can be hit with a notion or a perception that acts as that whack to the self of a ceiling fan blade. We can lash out in all honesty and just cause, and still remain quite wrong. Just as the bee that stung me, religion and politics, most conceptually trapped ideologies, find that outside their own box, “alien” ideas are a direct and immanent threat. When in fact they may not be that at all to a true self. They may even be the effect of something more honest and containing the enhanced truth of higher awareness. Yet in colored by lens perception, they are large, dark to the core, and threatening survival itself.

Without an objective sense of cause and effect. Without a granting of the dignity of existence to the unknown. Without the permission to question my own beliefs and submit to a higher cause. I can be both believing I am honest, faithful and serving the truth of life, when I am in fact doing the opposite in fundamental ways.

Essentials to understanding this dichotomy of being, is that permission to question all things to prove themselves truly real. In that I must bend my will to the truth of Universal Being, the unshakable Laws of Life. What are the obstacles then, preventing me from not being misguided by the ceiling fans and other diversions in the environment that I assume are causing dissonance? What instead of this primal pursuit into knowledge, is telling me not to question and get to know life intimately, up close and personal, with all its nuance filled pathways and ambiguous explorations into differing colors of the rainbow? Which prestablished conceptions do not allow my own investigations into beingness and deeper purpose meanings to Life and Being?

The invisible obvious balance pointing to Union

Humankind has created many apparently competing assumptions regarding interpretation of life. Some see religious based testing of purity as a final truth of a life. Others see a basic decency and honesty as their core value, with the ends being not a primary concern. Still others see life as another sort of extreme play out of competition itself. The individual is then, in this self centered view, allowed to do whatever it can get away with doing and “enjoying”. Enjoyment is perceived as a penultimate result of successful living. The proof of this “fact” is in the self centered pudding; hedonism is seen as a kind of final fulfillment of the self, a self apparently on its own to get what it wants and enjoy what it gets. The modern world has combinations of these kinds of views sown into societies cultural quilts.

Some are rewarded by suffering and serving without self gain (that love and caring is seen and felt as the “gain” in and of itself). Others do a bit of both. And certainly some of us want all we can get, “within reason” often conditionalized to our apparent station in life, so we plan on how to achieve a list of these getting’s to hopefully fulfil our life.

These folks have a basic optimism, as the prior groups may well have, and see a ladder to success, where one gets to enjoy ones getting on the rungs of the ladder, hopefully moving us upward. Many who feel for some reason socially or institutionally trapped, can have quite a feeling of being held back, and resenting that position seemingly imposed upon them by doings other than their own. Their basic human optimism can be quite tainted by this seemingly human caused condition appearing to ignore them and their dreams.

The millions who play the lottery are likely looking to quick jump to the top of their hypothetical dream life ladder. They want that “good life” “free from worry” (an illusion in most mindsets), and they may well want to spread some of their good luck to family and friends, expanding their winning ground and sense of self, or at least self interest. This suggest we are under economic stress, and a kind of ego fulfillment stress or sense of endemic lack. It also suggest we wish our situation was different in fundamental ways, but adapt as best we can to what we have overall.

There seems to be definite universal qualities to being human, and we tend to have a basic same list of stress and challenges to face individually. It is my sense that we are under one invisible Queen like rule. Some may call this rule Gods will, Spirit, or even Gaia, but whatever this overarching organizing principle is, I seriously doubt that it is actually for selfish, self centered self achievement, or a list centered self actualization’s. Humankind not only has diseases built into its genome for survival reasons, but we can assume that personality types and individual characteristics, though perhaps seeming surely negative, may have overarching positive reasons for being conserved as well. If one believes in a logical and rational universe, as opposed to an existential fear and question fest covered with ritualized behaviors to carry through the day with sufficient mystification and domination undertows.

Missing the boat for all the life preservers floating around.

I contend that we are all in this together more than it appears most of us realize. Do we realize that high intelligence needs to be balanced in humanity by “lower” intelligence, the latter often indicating an unrecognized form of specific high intelligence into other matters? These individual gifts or curses are all for the well being of us all. If this idea is correct, our monetary value system, as well as work (value placed on individual life consciousness) value system, is highly mistaken and corrupted.

We have, in effect, divided ourselves up in many fundamental yet false ways, leaving a kind of supermarket of ceiling fans positioned to hit certain segments of our fellow beings down repeatedly. We also appear to disavow any realization of this continuity and balance of human union, but instead insert many moral or other value tags to explain the need for the continuance of the apparent judgemental disconnections and hierarchical value assessments.

The modern world has gone so far as to propose the assumption, that the collateral damage caused by what may well be an extinction machinery embedded with rampant unaccountable individualism, is a good outworking into progress for modern precepts, these being just and right by all the good stuff. Materialism has these sown up in the modern world, and many of the reactions to materialism lack of apparent guiding Supreme “Soul”, validate many religions into their purging of attempts at objective reasoning with its truly empowered critical thinking abilities in the individual. The very creative Life mechanisms humankind relies on to fulfill its needs.

IGNORING THE QUEEN

The fundamental assumption at question in these words is; What is the consequence of not recognizing the fundamental ordering principles occurring in spacetime? We notice that humankind seems to acknowledge during most of its history some greater Being or Center or Source to Life. I contend that we all have the sensor for this connection in love and the purpose that comes with caring for all things great and small. In many societies, cultures, but especially the modern western world view, a kind of predatory invention has become more refined. It is a machinery without a conscious captain. The captain is the self centered world view and order being imposed upon humankind.

We are taught from our earliest days, to submit to external authority, and to submit to the wills of those beyond us, merely because we are vulnerable. While some of this vulnerability is indeed true, particularly in youth, the concept goes on to permeated and mutate across the fields of human relationships. It has gotten to the equivalent of the might makes right extreme prejudice; that simply possessing more entitles one to take and have more. This is dominator and predatory philosophy. It is as if the bees in the hive decide on their own, to do whatever they heck they want. Never realizing that if the Queen is not returned to, if Center or Source is not recognized as the organizing principle, the hive itself will degenerate. The bees themselves, flying right into the blades of conflict and extinction.

The notions of individual freedom have become divorced from individual responsibilities to the Whole of Life. They are running rampant into corrupt associations of often highly dysfunctional dominator consciousness. Consciousness that have their own sense of Queen like grandeur, without any universal right to so act. To the degree we continue to follow these dysfunctional leaders of separation and alienation from the Whole, humankind will continue to push the earth to the breaking point of its ability to contain counter reality consciousness.

We are in this Garden of Eden called earth, but also called Life and Being. Some take those whispers they hear as their own self enlightenment to take, get and have whatever they can keep for themselves and their “own”. This is being as God, being as the Queen bee. It is fundamentally delusional, for actually you are a member of the one and only human hive.

Quite like bees, we must follow the landmarks and the light source back home.

CUT TAXES MANTRA but pay an ave. $1,500.00 a year more! Yeah!

They reported on the news that the oil deregulation scam will cost the average household about $1,500 for your new gas tax. I mean the pyramid risk scheme going on in the oil industry enhancing their record profits at your expense. Yes. You have been “had” again. So politically one side especially will have to change the subject. Try to get you to think about other problems.

Remember how those energy traders manipulating the California market, laughed about the poor old lady strapped with high energy cost–then they kick out the Democratic Governor. That is how disgruntled impressions can be used against the essentially wrong target by the public. Hey. That reminds me of a recent war the vast majority once fully supported. Yep. Had again. Pay for itself. Right! A pushover.

How was the investment?

How many untruths called facts?

How many thousands of lives?

How many trillions of dollars you and I will still put up one way or another?

How much more secure are we really?

How much of the Constitution is actually left?

One thing is sure: All this is courtesy of the oil corporations (and some others) control of congress, especially that recently dominant corporate plunder party, but the other party had been quite sold out itself. Your estimated 1,500.00 per household a year increased energy cost is courtesy of this current administration, the one with all the smoke screens and all the “loyal” followers who march proudly to the sea to watch the tsunami come in.

Between the smoke screens of “Big Government” and “Cut Taxes” lay those easy to confuse voters unable to comprehend nor accept the facts of the corporate plundering of their own pocketbooks. OH!, but they have that famous faith–misplaced.

Let me put it this way. Money is finite, your income anyway. For every dollar you cut from the public trust by executing tax cuts, you transfer those liberated dollars to mostly corporate interest that can do whatever they want with it, they will then raise prices knowing the market can now bare some increase. Hello.

They probably will not put their new-found riches into their companies health care plan–got to stay competitive in a world economy. With the right wing machine in power, the wolves will be put in charge of the sheep. Polluters writing the air quality laws. Media consolidation directing market share etc.

What is next?

Well, if corporate takeover of the democracy and free enterprise is not contained and properly regulated, it may not be too long before you or I will no even talk or observe this way on the Internet. This recent attempt to take over America and create a culture of permanent servitude to oligarchical interest, is quite likely not over. They will regroup.

They have their genius laden think tanks to find just the right ideas and tricks to get you (hopefully not!) on their side. They will, through technological control, and or congressional complicity, once again begin to open new fronts on their assault on the Great American Commons.

Dictatorial interest cannot long stand the idea that any of us are really all in this nation and world together. They see themselves and their lifestyles as god-like entitlements. Often creating their own localized socialist state for themselves and their own. Freedom is the foil they most often hoist up to assuage their misanthropic predatory intentions. They have faith in the Darwinian god of the self to dominate anyone they can. We are their easy marks. Most all democracy’s are now under this kind of attack from within all the time.

It is not funny. Not long ago historically, a world war was fought to preserve freedom, now its very nature is being undermined from within, just like a cancer. You just will not have a McCarthy like persecution of the oligarchy. Persecution is like profit, mostly a one way street; the one that runs over the common citizens.

Wait? What is that I hear?

“Big Spending liberals!” “Lazy Welfare State” “Calling People of Faith” “Terrorist Enablers” “Weak on Defense”

Divide and conquer.

Oh. and by the way.

If your economy is failing from a lack of spending, you need to spend. And likely fast to preserve what you have. Money is actually the investment in human energy and intention. Without a job and with no jobs available, you have one answer if anyone is conscious enough to implement it: Government Spending. This needs to occur not in tax cuts for the rich which return next to nothing as we have learned, but jobs and income put into the hands of those who will spend, who must spend to survive.

So

In a US economy that had been at a 14Trillion annual pace, a significant amount would need to be spent to try to counteract a catastrophic recession event (Major Depression).  Unless you have faith in divine intervention in the economy, or are foolish enough to believe that in a retrenching phase, tax cuts to the well to do would do all the rest of you well.  Do the math.  All these depictions of what a trillion dollars is if it were run around the world end to end, or stacked up to the moon, is at best a disingenuous “connection”.  More likely the product of ideological diversionary thinking.

ONETHINK

THIS IS THE STORY OF OUR LIVES, A TALE OF BLINDNESS, OF CALLUS DISREGARD FOR TRUTH AND FACT.

It is this drive in post industrial America, to live by fantasy, to trample on the decency of honest lives to forward an ideology that worships itself above God or reality. We function as subjects of delusional leaders and sociocultural manipulators. This corruption in space and time occurs as each in the world tries to live out the meaning given to their lives.

As propaganda and unending commercialism attempts to lay the parameters of national and world citizenship, the right of the individual has been swallowed by the interest of wealth and its stealthy contempt for the average being. Narratives are put forth as models, scripts of both servitude and its bent over existence, and the glory of the gathering of income to stratospheric levels. We have come to despise the poor and worship the rich, as if books of understanding such as the Bible have had their words reversed, as if to be wise was to be nothing but a four letter word.

We live on the umbilical cord of information, this is undeniable, yet what filters the thoughts and facts that make it to us, is both of paramount importance and in ways invisible to the average life. A people who has their thoughts screened, has always been the hierarchical concern of oligarchs. They require the vast majority of the population to tow their world view for their own safety sake. This is in contradiction to the Enlightenment, to critical thinking, and to Democracy, or the attempt for each individual to have their own say in the agreements of society.

The “free press” has turned into a consolidated bottom line dwelling business. Truth and fact have been rendered second class to emotionalism and conflict, where argument is pursued as an ends in itself. A context where the manipulation of a companies owner and or its commercial interest, will “naturally” cherry pick both fact and idea. This is a set-up for mind control. One significant aspect of mind-control is; the corralled mind does not know it is not free in its outside erected enclosure. This has the advantage to the powerful that the individual does not know what one is truly accountable for or to. This subconscious ambivalence to self review allows all manner of deception to assuage the cognitive dissonance. We can become in endless pursuit of what we can never attain in a truly wholesome sense.

We are under attack, in free societies, by a “natural” inherent conspiracy of ONETHINK. Opportunist are by nature, out to achieve more for themselves, disregarding the needs or interest of others to live in health. We see this in the contempt for the Commons, driven like a gold spike into the heart compassion and empathy, attempting to destroy or convoluted the understanding required to live an honest life. For if corruption and self centering consumption can be made to be the “way” of life, those living it can feel in sync with those who use these platforms of self deception to rule the world, or at least their own small sphere of it.

While some of us are consumed by our own lack, seeking to jump off of roofs to get a video onto Youtube, or plan whatever we are without a thought for the carbon footprint, we function in a vacuum of our own ignorance. We are off line as far as survival and responsible citizenship are concerned. We are prodded and programmed by our lacks, while seeking excellence, perhaps, in ordering our lives to succeed at ONETHINK. We become the enablers of our own atrophying right to truth and reality. Instead, we become cogs in an extinction machinery. One willing to sacrifice everything on this One Earth, for the one delusional mindset that is growing to equal the comet of 65 million year ago. Jurassic, here we come.

Unless we wake up from our drug induce coma, that flash will be the last known thing. We may not see the light for our blindness, but we will feel the heat.

ART AND SCIENCE OF CONTROL

SCIENCE or ART or MORE?

At yesterdays family violence meeting with a family, we talked about health.

Health is a big topic that can go into differing directions and dimensions, but we had questions made. Why am I not taking care of myself in some area? Do I worry about my health and so, emotionally or subconsciously, open a door for a dysfunction? I know I should eat less, or not smoke, or get into more exercise, yet procrastination is in charge. Why? A few of us, for proposed economic reasons, or avoidance, avoid trying to find out what is going on. We wait to see if things get worse as a kind of control on what problem we are noticing.

In this group meeting we all set goals for the next one. After coming up with a desire to act on our own behalf, we set our sights on some realistic movement to be made by next meeting. Your word in made with yourself to get something good done in your life.

That will be all for that review of yesterdays event. I do wonder about all the rest of us; about politics, elections, society, the environment, our effects in the world on one another. Do I avoid looking honestly at them? Do I even want to know and be then possibly worried? What avoidance is there of issues that are of paramount importance to each of or lives, and yet we cover them over with a rug?

I believe politics, religion, the alleged cultural wars promoting ignorance and contempt for knowing something different and respecting it for that Golden Rule, I believe these things do have us hiding from knowing our effects on others, thus promoting their lack of respect for us. In conflict settings, we have learned to wall off our sense of empathy, compassion, full truth seeking and so understanding, because we may be told we are self defeating to entertain, enlightenment!

Many an ego stakes its credentials on not changing no matter what it faces. This may be a strength, or a recipe for complete stupidity. Arrogance, or “macho” displays are meant to be life saving in an odd way, yet they might just as well guarantee that that vulnerability one had to know something of oneself or another, is armored in, and a stunt person is now in charge of my life.

We are hearing in politics now both sides of the insecurity coin shown at once causing a kind of meltdown in-between. Is someone caring or strong? In front of one group they show the one, and in front of the other the other one, why can they not be real in all context, instead of chameleon like color changes designed to suit an audience? Now we seem to be trying to avoid these seeming perhaps contradictions of candidates by the marketing effect to make them just seem to look like the type on our side, without getting too specific about those worries we might have.

With the world in some ways at the mercy of our votes, (if counted) that might impact future well being as well as conflict for the entire planet, we need look more closely at those who would cut a one year old’s birthday cake with the swing of a four foot sword, not noticing the shock and awe in the room of the world.

What to look for?

First, unadulterated honesty, a consistency, not in claims and stances, but in steps to take to get from problem to solution. If candidates do not show respect, and I mean honest recognition and not just a grouping of words, they are not going to be elected to lead (or focus) the whole nation, they will be in it to promote the unacknowledged dysfunction addictions of their base, leaving the rest of us, not entirely innocent bystanders to an ever deteriorating state of the nation and planet.

THE EMERGING TOTALITARIAN ONE WORLD CORPORATION

IF THE USA WAS PRESUMED TO BE THE STANDARD OF DEMOCRACY, DEMOCRACY IS FAILING.

Power corrupts as power does; ones self importance telescoping the ego into godhood. Because of this corruption of consciousness, democracies are falling to competing and converging power interest, both religious and corporate/political.

Democracy is a concept used to benefit those in power, not everyone, as one would assume. We tend to conditionalize concepts into “pure” abstractions. These can then be manipulated through information control. These grand ideas can then exclude those who may challenge truly informed citizen rule regarding any particular concept seen as valid or a primary possession of identity. One could be called dumb if they thought we actually had a pure or a direct democracy here in the United States; ignorant, misled, confused.

If humankind was once more egalitarian, as evidence indicates in some areas, even matrilineal, with women carrying significant if not preeminent spiritual roles, the might makes right take over by men has possibly polluted a fullness of spiritual perception, even to the extent of how spiritual conceptions are qualified. This limited conception had a profound effect on how the founding fathers presumed democracy was for men, and only certain kinds of men at that.

It is alleged that men, fearing woman’s creative power, and the challenge insecurities of other men’s sexual interest, began to dismantle the role and authority of women, to the extent that until quite recently in historic terms, women were not considered to have a soul in some cultures. In some belief’s, the woman could not question the husband. In places, women were even killed for not providing an heir (often meaning a boy). It was not long ago at all that some men assumed the right to abuse women to “make” them conform to their will. This is so ingrained that many men still continue to get physical with those who seem less physically powerful.  This is actually a mask for a cowardly self image. This gets masked through cognitive dissonance ego rationalizations into a skewed cosmological and spiritual imagination.

Men to this day, often think of women as a kind of slave; to do what they say and not talk back as a kind of cheep child control. This is enforced by the often cowardly bullying tactics of might makes right. Superiority complex entitlement gets passed on, often by cognitive dissonance, like a selective psychological amnesia about the inherent value of individuals other than oneself.  Others become packaged by thought-terminating-cliché, especially those that can be boxed into a group in consciousness, an “other” group, with implied unknowns and unknowable motivations, and hence, threats.  Emotion is required here to provide for the intrinsic lack of reason. Superiority complexes are most always created to offset ones own inferiority beliefs subversively haunting self esteem.

Certain cultures have suggested a more balanced perception of human individuality and relationships to one another and the Divine. These were easy marks for male dominator warrior groups, who as far as might makes right is concerned, could rollover virtually unarmed targets. Indeed, modern warfare is attempting to evolve into a one world dominator might is right, where those who dissent or question will be if “need be”, easily eradicated by the push of a button, or directive by any higher-up to so do. This power will be intrinsically evil, since might does not make right, and in humans hands, unequal power corrupts consciousness.

Our nearly paralyzed two party platform in the US is easy prey for power interest, as many can be bought off through lobbying and assumed sworn to power loyalty. One party has quite the foundations of the predatory feeding ground for the one world corporate hegemony. The other is halfway compromised, but even more seductively so, since conflict of interest in the fallen fourth estate, goes mostly under the radar of public perception. Two parties were to, in theory, come to represent a kind of yes and no and then compromise, in our political system. That attempt at balance is being overthrown.

WHERE ARE THE EYES AND EARS? AND WHO ARE THEY?

The public is at the mercy of moneyed power interest who literally can buy their ways into might makes right domination. From media ownership share, to right wing or corporatist individuals hiring think tanks and promoting laws that take away the individual fair access to unfiltered important news. We do not know when we are fed propaganda as truth, and bias as fair reporting.

That allows power to pivot perceptions in significant ways to their viewpoint when they so require. Those of us who search for truth and differing opinion on the Internet are at the inevitable mercy of these power groups and associations who need to sculpt perception to their angle. Our window of opportunity to understand and reverse this anti-democratic bias may be a relatively short one.

The media is cast as some liberal forum (meaning not beholden to corporate of religious control, however this is not actually the case), by those taking the right of critical thought away, and instead, alluding to their prescriptions of what is loyal to certain institutionalized ideology as being the citizens duty–how and what to think. One can be astounded at the slow but relentless turn around in perception in might makes right in Iraq, as the population has literally shifted by some 50% from being pro to con over 5 years.

Why did it take so long and at such a cost, human and otherwise, for half the population to wake up to all the deceptions thrown at them? Why can we not see how wedge issues and impaired critical thinking, particularly the bombardment of false premises led by ad hominem accusation and assumption, grab our emotions to act against the actual likely truth?

Corporate hegemony is not yet absolute, as facts come in from the world; of death, destruction, devastation of economies, fracturing of fragile social structures and individual conscious identities into tribal warfare. The intrinsic cosmological confusion of jingoist dreams; of force straighting out deep historic dysfunction and group revenge psychology, is amplified by the hubris of the delusional who believe destruction with God and nation empowerment narration is more relevant to creative change than is the deep work of understanding.

Diverting societies attention from mass manipulations is the bread and butter of dominator paradigms, be they religious or of the far left or far right, and also now, those envisioning securing resources for society and world share control. We face an oncoming highly structured world culture of a few haves, likely arranging permanence of position for their families and sycophants, and for the most of the world, have little but dependency psychology. This recipe for complete slavery comes with the destruction of public controls of government prospered by anti-governmental mindsets of the far left but much more significantly, the conservative right.

The “right to vote” illusion perhaps dramatically presented with a cartoon sideshow of alleged public input on important issues, issues more likely about “values”  and social judgments, ignoring more meaningful means of redress of systemic grievances.

Democracy, and the rights of the individual are nearing a precipice of darkness. It remains to be seen if we rise up into the light of understanding, insisting on unbridled truth and diversity of interpretation, or are seduced by or forcefully cast into the rationalizations of darkness.

The notion of a “One World Corporation” presumes that conflict will one day not be seen as a way to increase resources nor market share.  Oligarchs will see that it is in their long term interest to solidify their power security by establishing worldwide coherence to it.  Kinds of destabilization will then be archaic unless the appearance of this serves societal control. Various kinds of international hegemony are currently sowing the web of enmeshment of local to worldwide interconnectivity.  These interdependencies will likely become more and more institutionally “solid”.

What governs our lives besides government?  We must address the influences that impose upon our will beyond what is conventionally assumed to be “The Government”, or the impulse, the natural impulse to be fully and freely you, me, we might be throwing rocks from inside our own glass house.

I am an anarchist. No, not the rock throwing destroy everything kind, if that truly is a kind. I believe anarchy to be the highest state of freedom, but it only works if we are all on the same page, at home or in the world.  A universal enlightenment. Sorry if anyone thinks they are actually cut out of creation or independent of it.

It does if you think humanities problematic behaviors are unsolvable.  The question becomes; when can I trust you to not accidentally or intentionally inhibit my life by your actions into my life?  Personally, I have no plans to take advantage of you; to take from you more than you earned as is done under some scheme. I am living a very low impact life, not adding to pollution at a whim, buying very little and recycling materials I create when deconstructing something.

That said; I live in the USA, and you and I are adding much unhealthy elements to the air, sea and land, while in some respects imposing our will on the world without overt permission.  As a would be anarchist, I have much accounting to do over our collective actions that I as a voting citizen have some accountability in.  Unless the idea of anarchy is to avoid being held accountable by natural law as well, then it not much more than a convenient abstraction delusion escape clause.  Being a real and responsible anarchist, and not an oxymoron, personal identity issues, as well as philosophical tenets, must be addressed.

I believe that when humankind is both healthy and communicative over needs(= full relevant information access), and aspiration, we can do away with government as we know it. No one to fight, no one to bribe for votes, no one to blame. This will need be the case one day if we are to survive, particularly if we step off the planet to explore the next shores. At home or with friends, one can now be as anarchistic as one wishes to be. To see how that goes by trying it, would be a first place to start.

LIBERAL OR CONSERVATIVE? LIBERTARIAN? THEOCRATIC?

I am sadly amused when I read blogs about conservatives being anti-government and liberals pro-government, since if one looks at history, both sides can be in great states of denial. To some extent some liberals completely forsake economic realities that are not changing very fast without a spiritual-understanding revolution, which will probably be forced upon us by shock and an awe of a regional or global kind, and not gotten to through our “higher angels”.  But I am for calling up our higher angels when we have that kind of courage on our own.  It is better to add health to the world than to take it away, but therein lay much identity obfuscation.

Then there are certain conservatives that seem to think anarchy is fine for their business or self interest in some predatory Darwinian dominator based psychology, or more accurately, dysfunctional ego grandeur hardly disguised by their superiority complexes (hiding insecurity/inferiority self haunting), and accompanied cognitive noose around the neck convictions. Sure they hate certain liberal pro-government notions. Those are contrary to their detached individualism’s psycho-spiritual assumptions.

Don’t tread on me and I won’t tread on you

I am mixed in practicalities about the libertarians, as I assume they are about themselves. They are part made up of both the right and left; want more direct say in their lives and reject what seems like undo external influence of organized power structures that obstruct the individual. Liberty abstract and pure, yet where is the real context of each individual being?—-in an interconnected web of world relationships.

It is fantastic to feel I am self-regulating and need no other comments on my doings, unless I trample on others rights.  But that is often the back burner issue; do I know for a certainty that my freedom is not oppressing you?  If I dump my motor oil on my property, do you really have no say next door or a mile away?

How about when your water from your well gets laced with carcinogens leaching off my property? Still not my problem? It seems some libertarian energy comes from the; freedom to do what I want but not be held accountable unbridled escapism ego opportunism lust.  Might be why some freedom loving folks try to undo science with its interrelationship consequences and all. To me, and I think of myself as a libertarian at heart, some libertarians kind of live for a future Utopia, where they are untethered by others consequence, without necessarily looking at present realities close enough to see how they will creep up on them, and perhaps crash their balloon.

I happen to love people on all these philosophical and political stances. Without an interrelated platform for agreement or conflict resolution, what resource will you have if you know I am poisoning your water table, yet you also know I am a arrogant “individualist” who listens to no one?

One of the most important issues in human cognition, or lack of it, is cognitive dissonance.  Once I’ve formed my identity with tags linked to nice abstractions, like freedom, I may well contour my self reflection and my view of the world to avoid knowing where and when I am self contradicted.  This sort of ego adaptation will leave its psycho-spiritual contortion festering within the self.  The experience of consciousness then becomes more problematic, given that ignorance, as a kind of firewall, has become instituted in perception.

Being on spaceship earth is a big abstraction to some, so lets imagine that International Space station, or you can make up your own closed human ecosystem.  Well what happens if I get disgruntled and poke holes in the wall?  What if on a space walk I go about tearing off protective coverings cause, well, I’ve just had it with all the idiots in there.

One person. One decision. One intention. One problem unaddressed. One idea left to fester. Just one lack of cohesion, one big enough, and a whole space colony could be destroyed.  If put into our real place with its interrelationships, we have impacts that ripple out throughput the whole Commons of Life.  We need an agreement, even if only a consensus reality made to appear real; that I can trust you and you me.  Otherwise…

Most all humankind has had transcendent spiritual beliefs. Your own love may be viewed as a transcendent or metaphysical glue that holds you and someone or thing together in a kind of invisible gravity of union. I feel that in a deep fundamental way, we are always acting in manners which we belive will make our love healthy, no matter how wrongly we may try to force it.

When humankind grows past its fear, threats and insecurities, when we know we are all inside spaceship earth together, and it does matter to each life what the other is doing, we will emerge into some kind of theocentric non state. I believe we will all act on behalf of our higher angels, and because of that union, share the mysteries and revelations of Creation, possibly with symbols and rituals that keep the reminder ever-present of the abiding transcendent Cause.

I can assume I am caused by the universe or whatever manifest it.  I can also assume, as through physics and cause and effect dynamics, that I am endemic to existence.  I can even assume that my consciousness is not detached from wherever consciousness exist in the scheme of things, without knowing how we exactly conceptualize creation.

Our modern minds seem to believe they cannot know a thing without fully describing it and deconstructing its rules of being.  One trouble with this scientific like objective premised assumption is that we know all the parameters of a thing, and of the context it exist in.  Spacetime seems to suggest to our senses that things are separate and self cohesive, but this view of the outer world is a self defined appearance reality in part dependent upon kinds of peer agreed to consensus realities.  Actual reality may be another matter.

But Metaphysics and Mumbo-jumbo?

No, Humankind, as spiritual societies, will not force religion onto anyone without their permission, our spiritual core will just fit into life seamlessly. If the universe is not in contradiction, and we are of the universe, I expect a state of essential non-contradiction in spiritual matters as the case of Life as well. This is then a premise of a latent, intrinsic Utopian (from our current viewpoint) spiritual anarchy impulse, that can well possess qualities and even beliefs of parts of some or all of the aforementioned belief systems, and even some not mentioned.  In one manner of defining this; what is true is to be honored.

Can humanity have truth as its guide while not completely conceptualizing Creation?

The difference will be that there will be no contradiction between each consciousness and collective humankind.   Differences will engage reason and definition of individual vision with a logical means of resolution of disagreement. Your spirit, in some ways untethered from dysfunction, will be able to soar higher than likely you or I have known, and not necessarily by designing a self in contrast to the worlds of others…

Unconditional Love has that guarantee. No one is stopping its anarchy, but ones sense of self limitations will limit ones awareness.  When external government is gone, we have a Darwinian feeding frenzy, where your neighbor does have the right to grab your stuff.  Get rid of Democracies government; the alleged will of The People, and we will likely have corporacratic and or theocratic replacement by an oligarchy.  Those interest are actively working against government by “The People”.

Real government ultimately cones from within.  Freedom will be real when external government is allowed to die.

WHEN LIFE BECOMES PROBLEMATIC

There is that illusion in youth that one is immortal if healthy. Years take an eternity to go by. I remember once hearing a boy say, his friend with him is an old friend of his; they knew each other 9 months.

We stretch our limits physically; how fast can I run, jump, climb, at least many boys do. Girls have some of their own physical feats; sometimes like the boys, or other games, jump-rope, hop-scotch(?), even tumbling and other daring doo’s, that boys might rather not be “shown up” at.

I first hurt my neck when 5 or so, secretly. When 16, I was knocked out after catching a football in a parking lot. I went over the roof of a car and landed on my head. Being “out” was curious, being that I was in a black void, wondering how I find myself, looking for my senses. There was nothing but a desperate search. Things started to turn on in strange ways, hearing in color, until everything snapped into place and you could use your muscles.

I first hurt my lower back when diving off of a high dive while I was recovering from “walking pneumonia”. It was a bad choice to go to that pool, but my older cousin invited me and I hardly ever went anywhere for fun. I loved bounding off the end of the board as high as I could.

In my early twenties was the first time my lower back “snapped” when I picked up a dropped fork, (after the prior days digging up and turning over of the whole back yard in California, huge clay chunks, some prob. one and one half by two feet thick), leaving me with those ten days of no improvement, can not lift much of anything. It is a struggle to get out of bed, then have to walk like a stick not allowing any leaning forward or backwards, or sideways.

In about 3 weeks I was back to normal, but never the same, since that crippling extreme has happened half a dozen times in my life fully, and dozens more in a milder one week recovery way. Now I can usually tell how I get into this situation and try to stop what I am doing before that. That is then only a day or two of back swelling, sweating, or stiffness. Unfortunately, the neck and lower back are connected. I most always have to not bend my head when getting into cars, or the lower back might pop.

Later in life, I went on to work in construction. sometimes doing strange stunts like carrying a five eighths thick four by twelve foot sheet of sheet-rock balanced on the middle of my head to install it up on scaffolds onto a businesses ceiling. What a pain; balancing, aligning to edges, trying to use a hand to put a screw, or start a nail with.

I did this once to get our half hour lunch ended, since no “boss” was there and guys were still talking 40 min later, lounging on the floor. I was hired to work as I promised, so I did. Usually that would wake the others up from their mid day vacation. That is how I have been; I will sacrifice myself to achieve some promised ends in the face of difficulty, even if others sit by watching.

In my late thirties, as the main “clerk” in a huge warehouse in Tucson, I might lift and carry from 50,000 to 100,000 lbs. of boxed cotton goods (boxes often 80-115lbs) in one not so unusual day. All for about 1 dollar over minimum wage. My back went out once big time there. I told the manager, who then put me on another detail. I could feel my back leaking inside. In about an hour I could not hold my hands up in front of me without extreme pain. That started a 3 week no party of a vacation.

By my mid fifties; carrying a three quarter inch think sheet of MDF board (4′-8′) on my head to get it into my narrow trucks camper top and gate opening got more and more difficult. After several of these my neck seems no longer what it was. Now I cannot use it at all for a prop post.

Moral of the story being that; depending on use, some parts of your body can suffer from experiences at an early age, or leave you with a surprise chronic pain later. In case all you athletes thinking the possible thrilling abuse will not be met again later as the aging surprise. Surprise! There are birthday surprises that may be coming to a body near you. A gift that keeps on giving.

HARD WORK AND ITS SACRIFICE FOR ALL

Throughout the culture we have some people using muscle and or being in positions that will have them regretting it later, but for many, that job was what they could get, and they might even become loyal to it, to their later detriment. The culture requires this work to be done.

These people may not have the ability to pay for health care. If you do not believe society (which depends for its existence on these people just as if they were the military) if you do not believe society owes them the decency for their service and sacrifice to it. Well you might be considered one off those heartless Darwinian conservatives, that are enlisted into Pavlovian response come election time, to blame the physical effects on the decisions of the one who sacrificed themselves; because it was their choice! Not only that. But why should I then offer anything to those suffering individuals since I knew better; was hereditary endowed (physically or monetarily), avoided hard work or difficult military service. We see this, the proud and righteous anti tax perception, promoted by predatory opportunist, as a moral value in the society. Down with the Nanny State!

This is an example how the greediness endemic to the alienated-separated individual, can be used to pivot their perception from full life connection, to defending oneself from responsibility to the whole. If one is kept in the perception of economic stress and or ego non accountability to other parts of society, which constitute the whole, I can think I am standing up for moral self accountability BY NOT ACKNOWLEDGING OR RETURNING THE SACRIFICE OTHERS HAVE GIVEN FOR MY OWN VERY LIFESTYLE AND PRIVILEGE TO BE PROTECTED AND CARED FOR IN THIS COUNTRY.

Imagine it. Conservative pundits right now as I type, are well paid to tell society that those homeless (yes, even from the military) living under bridges or a box in the alley, are mentally unfit and so beyond our province to help. That is the conservatives own mental illness of separation, often disguised as pride and moral, even spiritual superiority, to help shove someones life out of sight and out of mind. Their consciousness of the whole that is; amputated.

But this was to be a note on my life from yesterdays travels.

I avoid going to dentist and doctors, so yesterday was a special treat to see both.

Now from the doctor, I must make appointments for three specialist in differing fields. Isn’t that special. I also have another filling gone bad and have an appointment for that one. I did not know I was going to be getting x-rayed yesterday, so that was another surprise for the pocket book.

The tiny bit of the Tucson Gem and Mineral and Everything else Show one can see in two hours, was interesting in that there are many new kinds of stone and craft work suddenly all over, with an increasing shift, where I was at, towards Asian items.

Poetry

The poetry reading was fun. I read the poems I have put on this site, which are in some strange ways different than my usual. I just write them and post them, sometimes going back and finding mistakes or awkwardness from the process of hurrying things on-line, or speaking to interest of my concept of who is writing poetry in general on my tags. Live and learn. That is what I have heard.

There were quite a number of newcomers to that reading, all seniors. Every writer is distinctly different. I sometimes enjoy particularly the straight forward from life ones from someones past, telling of some slice of life impression, fond or difficult memory. No fancy razzle dazzle word usage, just insight. Which is just so very much; a whole lot!

It is warming up an I am contemplating making a longer and less high dam on that small stream I mentioned many post back. The one with the one dam I already made last week. I often have to judge the price I will pay for lifting 94 pound bags of cement then walking sideways downhill with them. Plus all the mixing and shoveling.

Sometimes if a thing is to ever get done, you just go up to it, and do it.

BATTLE OF THE BULGE BETRAYED

At times I accompany a friend who is a hospice volunteer, to her regular visit to the survivor of a family. This old guys health is deteriorating and he wonders why he still lives.

He and his wife retired to the southwest over 25 years ago. He went on to work as a nurse or hospital aid for some years. His wife had a severe stroke and he became her loyal and unwavering caretaker for many years. He is quite a character, very opinionated and a survivor of the Battle of the Bulge. He was wounded there and spent some time in a French hospital during the war.

He feels that the old like him, the poor and many others are ignored because they are off the rich and powerful radar. He feels the US system is rigged and most politics is mostly tricks.

That aside, he is faced with no longer being able to live in his mobile home park. He has one niece who lives states away and an even older sister who just moved into a old folks home states away. The VA provides him with some medical help but mostly he is a living artifact that cannot make ends meet in the modern world. Many are in this situation.

He cannot make it into the nearby inexpensive assisted living home until there is an opening. Contingent on this is he would have to sell his home to have enough to make the move. Being barely able to walk, most moving presents a huge obstacle to him. He was ambiguously looking forward to moving, being that he likes his independence, yet must face the reality that he may at any time be incapacitated. So he sits on his couch in this limbo, waiting for something to change but feeling trapped in more ways than one.

We help him all we can but there are limitations for us, given gas cost and distance to aiding him.

So here is the deal. We as a culture leave the very ones who saved our common freedom to languish in uncertainty and a profound sense of abandonment because we are a heartless and self centered people, or for some reasons, the plight of the needy are kept out of the big picture. Remember Katrina?

With elections coming, I would urge anyone who can to remember those who have served this country to not forget we live from their service to us. Remember them more than shooting some rifles off at their funeral. Remember that others, as well, are unwanted, have made mistakes, some of which they have not recovered or redeemed themselves from. They are still human beings. Each of our own humanity is defined on how the least of us are treated by the rest. We are each that rest.

There is the unfortunate tendency in this modern world for short attention spans. The “top ten list” of things to think about has been shifted to individualistic “responsibility”, bypassing or subverting the truth that there is a commons, there are common responsibilities, and not only when rich companies get into trouble here or from their policies overseas. Much of the worlds interest, which we all are are part of, must be on the radar.

If I ignore the issues facing human beings in my home or my world, it is darkness that becomes self perpetuating. The light only comes out into view when our hearts are allowed to look, that seeing is illumination.
