SURVIVAL: Same Old Questions Needing New Answers

THE WALL AND SURVIVAL OF THE…

The human need for self definition is the same; Where do I belong; How do I fit in; What do I expect; What knowledge is required; Am I approved of; What is my view of others; What is my world; What do I want; What do I believe; Where must I go next; When am I right with myself; Who do I Love; Who loves me; Who wants me in their life; What do I love about life; Where do I belong next; What are my dreams and ambitions? And on…

The old world may have had some simple and static answers for these, often given by an elder, a family member; the culture. Some need for self fulfillment comes with biological imperative; I must eat and drink to continue, or such things as communicate, walk or ride to get somewhere. Others have that environmental/cultural kind of persuasion; You need God; You need create a family like this; You must chase your dreams; You need be honest; It’s a dog eat dog world; Go for the gusto; Be all you can be; The winner is who gets there first. And on.. In our modern so called western world civilization, there is a self narrative to become the best you can be. Seems a good idea with an easy sell. It does have a sense of potential competition set into the self realization goodness. Proving oneself seems an imperative in many cultures.

Combine the notion best, with competition, and especially alpha intention realization, and it becomes not such a big leap to consider that bigger is better. There are many real world examples of this in the cultural narrative today; grow your company equals success; grow your muscles equals success; grow your stock portfolio equals success; sell more stuff equals greater success. These keep inching closer to the threshold, however, of cancer. And when cancer wins…

-

The cultural paradigm becomes the software running in conversation, consideration, adds on TV and other media. We expect your to be big and to buy the best, but if you are not, there are less big status items to hope to buy. You can just get better at getting that bigger self and becoming more of what you can be. If not for yourself, then for your friends and family. There are even patriarchal and matriarchal comforts that can issue from your bigness, as you dispense your success to your family and community.

Ah. Life is good. Was there some problem I started with?

The problem is the cumulative effect of many forms of this idea of success. We may fawn over the hyper-successful. Wish to be like them. Hope that somehow our winning ticket comes in, at this lottery called Life. We can do all this obvious good, seemingly trusting the accomplishment that we assume will ensue from our success. Never realizing, that what we have defined may in fact be a terminal illness, not just for us, but for all of us.

It is not surprising then, that so much cognitive dissonance is seemingly encouraged; Don’t worry, be happy; You cannot change the world on your own, it’s always been this way. Who are you to think you can change it? Beyond this, there are institutions of religious and political nature (usually this veils economic realities of status quo’s), that seek to divert our attention from the real problems of the way we live, for concerns of a more abstract and ethereal nature. These become as shell games; diverting attention from serious problems of fact for more belief oriented “solutions” of blame of others with a sense of self purification. Most argument seems to entail some essential obsession with enforcing blame upon, than with real solution that go beyond symptom.

Life presents us with a question It always presented, but now the clock seems to be running out. Diversion and denial will help each of us to be a Nero; fiddling as our Rome burns. We will be consumed with the problematic minutiae of our trifles; are my strings tight; What happened to my audience? Oh, practice makes perfect.
.

Yet smoke is here. A suicide note is here, with my and your name on it. There are blank notes still attached to the intention of each life. The question becomes; Which note will I actually sign; one for Life or one just for death?

The one for Life moves ones journey onward into greater Love. The one for death may well be the failure of dreamt for success. Definitions do matter; To succeed at knowing more love by being more love, or succeeding at denying this deep interrelationship to all things.

There is a new paradigm imperative; My life is not only my little world, it is all. I am invested in everything great and small. Nothing is beyond my concern as all Life is connected as One.

The Whole Truth

.

WHAT HOPE IS THERE FOR FINDING

THE WHOLE TRUTH HERE TODAY?

{Thoughts I had that would have applied well to yesterdays Restorative Justice event as it developed}

When witnesses are sworn in, they are asked to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. But if I swear to tell the whole truth, and tell my truth, giving my facts, they are still from my perspective. My facts are inherently subjective and personal. When the first witness in a courtroom is called on to tell the “whole truth”, we do not then say that is that and we are done, for we would be wrong.

We assume there is a Whole Truth; a complete representation of the facts in full context, but none of us ever truly knows it as our own. Investigators ask for as many witnesses and as much information as they can, to get a more complete picture of what happened. We do know we are here because we are hurt and we seek a means of healing.

Each of our own angles on this Whole Truth, is never more than a piece; a piece requiring other pieces to fill in the puzzle that is reality. With enough angles put together in this issue, we will arrive at some measure of comprehension. This does not mean our subjective viewpoints will not still seem true, and perhaps someone else’s, still seem wrong to us.

We cannot always easily erase our feelings and history of assumption on an instant. Some work at forgiving ourselves for not being fully open to fuller truth may be required. I might have to work at keeping my heart and mind open to someone, and their feelings, who seem not to see things as I do. I might still feel someone is not being true, but I might have to look deeper into my own soul to ever rest that case.

We are here to hear for the interest of Whole Truth, and not necessarily in having any one of us “win” at our viewpoint. One of us has been blamed by a court hearing, and is here because the rest of us believe we want a solution to the issues of the matter more than punishment. We will hear some viewpoints which may be much closer to the true story. Some might even feel they are the true story, and everyone else somehow does not understand. We are hear to build the true bridges into reality for the sake of true understanding.

I can chose to only keep my viewpoint, but that is a sure recipe for self deception. Censoring other perspectives is appealing at times. It can be hard to acknowledge having been wrong in any way. It can be hard to accept that what I thought was true, turns out to be mistaken. Most of all, it is hard to accept that the hurt I feel, does not only belong to me. Others are in pain. We all have wounds. We can pick at each others scabs, point out our lacks of perfection, look at ugliness under bandages, but why not tend to one another’s wounds? Are we here to perpetuate disease or to seek healing? To punish through pain, or to solve by love holding us into understanding?

For in some respects; we all have wounds behind us, hidden on our own back sides of life, which we may not see or be able to reach to tend. We need ask one another at times, to discover what is wrong, how bad it is, and can they or someone help us where we cannot see? We go to doctors for this very reason, but who do we go to here for this hurt? We all are here.

We can go to who is here, for we here, wanted to be here. We are here, then, for Truth and for Love. We are here to serve these Grand Things because we can extend them to one another. May we listen to Their words.

RETURN OF THE TRIBE? Intentional Community

No.

No may be a not nice word to begin an article with, yet here it is essential.

No. I do not mean those tribe(s) of folks they put on those reality TV islands and such. Not elimination tribe’s that end with one winner. I am speaking of the Yes of tribe; human beings intentionally pooling their spiritual visions, their imaginations, their ability to sustain an intentional community, for the future may well demand this for human survival. That NO however, does show a hint of how even strangers once cognizant of common interest, can come to feel they have made lifelong friends. The time together having a seminal impact upon their lives.

Communal lifestyles were once mainly the norm for humankind. As we expanded from tribe to village and eventually city, community became more abstract and implied, not necessarily known. Seems we became more cultural style and event oriented, where we shared customs and many ideas, but need not know what one another was actually doing. Family became the last stronghold of intimate life interest. Now even that has changed, with, for many, with they or family members moving away. Then it is how close to friends and associates we are, and most often a life partner.

This greater social space allows for many forms of human freedom that do not require someone always assessing ones actions. Indeed, the “cover” of avoiding so much connection, allows bypassing accountability for ones actions in many respects, especially emotionally. I am referring to the surface of things, for I do not believe one “gets away with” lies and deception, conscious or not. Since all action involves the world, hiding from responsibilities or other awareness of ones actions by society, has certain perceived in the moment private benefits. Yet you may notice at home or at work, we actually are much concerned with how we each behave and feel.

These private pluses can be negatives as far as the rest of society and the environments are concerned–The Commons. Notice how people who pollute, lets say, deny they are doing anything “wrong”. They, or humans, seem to resent negatives being attached to ourselves, even if true or possibly true. We tend to lash out, and can go on to actually blame and seek to restrict the polluting information itself, or otherwise undermine the consequence implied by it with doubt. It appears we have now created a culture with much hiding, and blocks to full truth seeking. This may spell eventual disaster for our species.

TRUTH AND ACCOUNTABILITY

Human beings require a basic spiritual sense of accountability to live together. There are advantages in not having close community, mainly pretending to exist on ones own with little requirement for others to possibly question ones decisions. This is why I say a spiritual requirement exist; others deserve some response for your interest in the world, as well as you for theirs, since our lives can all depend on what we are each doing.  Everyone’s life on earth is inextricably connected by our actions, as well as many other factors.

Pretending we can all ignore each other and everything works out, is absurd, as pollution, opportunism/exploitation and crime indicate.  Yet in politics, for instance, trying to discover the truth of how our interest clash, is filled with kinds of deception, denial, and other rationalizations, with never a consensus reality to be found nor sought.

Communes have tried may differing approaches to mixing government and individual freedom. Most usually fail for reasons that should be obvious, but usually are not, due to an idea that may disguise many problematic necessities for human consciousness. We need some fundamental independence to engage our spirit to its full potential.

Until, or even if no privacy is ever possible or desirable, human beings would require an extraordinary sense of common purpose and a sense of personal space unconcerned with revealing most salient details to others. Many original tribes knew they all depended on one another, so were in someway accountable. I feel presently, such a submission to others is not sustainable and poses too great a threat for a “charismatic” or other manipulative type to use personal influence to maneuver the ideas of others.

I have seen this happen myself, and can see it in many religious and political traditions that apply the Thought-terminating cliché or other devices to undermine the validity of critical thought. Often group bonded buzzwords stand in as quick one word critical thought bypasses. These ideological prison bars also extend to identity “branded” phrases and concepts that create the us that knows, from the them that are essentially clueless or “used”.

Many cults and communal ideologies such as communism, end up being for those on top to do as they please, for the others own good (allegedly), and all sanctioned by some hierarchical mindset, that, as usual, ends up being perverted into cults of personality and status quo dominator permanence. At this point the groups identity becomes as satellites around a central sun. The light and mission then come from this “enlightened” one. Many of these associations have some truth existing in their belief matrix that gets interpreted as validating the whole ideology. Credit?– back to the identity sun, even if that credit rightfully belongs to Life Itself.  They just happen to be in the right place at the right time and following the right Perfect Master.

I was once in a spiritual intentional community in the 1980′s, one of the most successful ones. It still exist I believe, on 5 continents, and I had heard it has changed to a more consensus government. However, reading some of its materials a couple years ago, still has me question its spiritual hierarchy and purpose. I learned what not to do there from my experience of what worked for one in such a community, as well as what drives many eventually further away from it. I also was involved with a network to expose cults and help those damaged by them.

NOW FOR THE OBVIOUS BENEFITS OF SEMI COMMUNAL LIVING

With the sketchy problematic overview in front of you here, you may wonder why I even bring intentional communities up. My most attractive feature from my experience, was getting to know others spiritual natures, struggles and revelations on a regular basis. The sense of interpersonal connection and love for the presence of one another, can become even more prominent than ones own family. Being that in ones family, or in many families, issues could not be faced head on or disagreements addressed so rapidly as in living semi communally. I say semi-communally, since I feel there needs to be some sense of independence and self spent time on ones own personal desires. We must be the one who owns determining where and what we do in our lives.

REQUIREMENTS OF EXTENDED FAMILY INTENTIONAL COMMUNITY

That said; a successful Intentional Community would seem to need a common spiritual mission. I do not know if conserving resources and “saving the planet” are the spirituality that fulfills the individual completely. I found it wonderful, to hear the expressions of others on their impressions of spiritual truth, along with the art and other offerings these expressions can engender.

Many places are now finding semi-intentional communities established in their area. In Tucson Arizona, several years back in the late 1990′s, co-housing intentional neighborhoods were being created. These, well at least one I know of, were being made from straw bail construction, parking on the periphery with common areas in the center.

It seemed loosely organized over being more earth conscious and efficient, plus family friendly. The other communal part I heard of on the TV news interview, was a common dinner space. One person interviewed claimed that now he was going to have good food for dinner. Each unit also had its own kitchen and was essentially detached from the others.

Generally, I would say that if that good dinner was all he expected from community–diners he thought would be cooked for him, he or the community may not last as is. They also had to consider things such as community approval of who might buy ones home if you ever moved on. A community’s interest cannot just “let” one rent out their home to anyone not part of a community “mission”. Some form of “community good” contract needs to be in place in intentional living situations.

A common purpose is an absolute essential ingredient. Ultimately, something must act as an overriding center, in order for we individualized creatures to press our escapist desires into accountability. A community needs to serve this Central Idea by being effectively dedicated to it. This Central Idea, be it God, Love, Creativity, Discovering the Universe, Living Truthfully, whatever IT is, It seems to me the community has to make that Idea known and obvious. Many preexisting rituals and sacraments are suitable to be considered for this need.

Individualist ones, such as many a Western Civilized human, likely have many negative associations with having others closely connected on an ongoing basis. It can seem to be an extraordinary chore compared to what we have known. For me, on weekly gatherings, when we each express what is on our consciousness to be attended to, suddenly what we each has to say takes on dramatic importance. I went from my protected personal freedom to withdraw, to one pressing my own insecurities to serve the Central Idea.

Many who discover a Central Idea, such as the Bible or other spiritual documents or Paths, come to face this loose self wandering through freedom, and their disciplined self that surrenders to a Higher Cause, dedicating ones life to serving IT. With others doing the same, we quickly can find ourselves on “the same page” regarding our interest in the world and how our spirituality fits in. This seeming surrender also seems to set one free in a hard to define way. A comfort in sharing purpose.

This point of surrender is also, I believe, a highly vulnerable one, where what one surrenders to is not quite known. The others who say they know It, may seem as we would ourselves like to be, but even that can prove deceptive. A real Intentional Community needs a way to question its own motives, and not just assign all actions to a Higher Cause. Critical thinking must be encouraged for a community to remain viable. If it surrenders that, it will find it has surrendered to a darkness it fears to define, and so, tries to bury alive at its future peril.

SERVING THE CENTRAL IDEA MAY IMPLY MANY DETAILS IF CREATION IS CONSIDERED ONES HOME

Things, such as outreach to save our planet, make a home base that reflects the ideals, engaging the dreams and visions of each one on this Mission, etc, seem self evident. Ways of handling controversies that emerge, and other problems which might imply the acceptance of certain amounts of community contract to uphold values of the Mission to address these issues. Things are not just left to dangle ignorantly in the wind and rain. And I would add; Love. A requirement to respect and express the connection and value we each uniquely embody as an agent of Life.

AND OTHER GOOD STUFF

Community living can offer many benefits from investing in quality of life improving items that can be shared, instead of the individualistic one of everything for everybody, that promotes consumerism as cancer, now threatening to end life on earth. A few good cars, as an example, might be enough for 12 people to manage, instead of all of them needing one and promoting a culture of waste and cognitive dissonance toward the Commons of Life. There will be an “organic” number recognized once individuals find the ease in which some aspects of life can be coordinated.

Some changes I suggest here, I believe are for the advancement of humankind, while holding the potential to continue to advance the arts and sciences through individual initiative and innovation. There remains a place for invention and the progress of technology. Only, in this context, and its ability to network and grow through understanding; how the whole is to be effected. There is a potential to remake human relationships and responsibilities to honor our common place in life. This is a way to not ignore human being and human impacts, while not offering the stone age as the only alternative that works in the long term.

OK. That is a start in a consideration that anyone could begin where they are. We do not “have” to be individuals all striving for a “good life” that has the invisible noose of an extinction event being tied around our necks as we “succeed” , and or, “win” at competition. A whole new world of advanced consciousness towards Love, rises from the horizon.

HUMAN HIVE

I have lived around Africanized “killer” bees for over a decade. I grow many flowers and have many flowering trees which are often filled with the now ubiquitous Africanized bees. I was stung by one for the first time just the other day, at night. It seems I have become more sensitive to bee, hornet and wasp stings through time.

The once dreaded invasion of Africanized killer bees was not the disaster it was built up to be. They are slightly smaller and darker than regular old honeybees, and pollinate many more things. They are a wee bit more defensive, so when surrounded by them, one generally needs to be a little more cautious. They are mostly a greater threat if you are fairly close to their hive, or someone within a half mile has been perceived to be a threat. Being close to these bees hive is farther away than than being close European honeybees. Unless, as I was living on a farm with honeybee hives, they happen to tune into your number for some reason. Then they are equally aggressive quite far away from center. Eventually this post will be closer to becoming a philosophical piece which should not sting you or cause an allergic reaction, unless you are primed for one.

You, me and US.

The individual and the hive are sown together via the queen bee. It is a curious paradox of the individual initiative, under the queens umbrella will. The bee that stung me was (I believe) hit by a ceiling fan down onto me. It then was cast into a defensive mode and could not help but sting me.

I am not like some people when it comes to the why. When some things happen you may hear; “Everything happens for a reason!” However, the reason implied is often vague; perhaps suggesting a divine reason such as a moral values lesson. It is notable the lack of definition that usually follows this statement in my experience.

But straight forward cause and effect? I’m for that one. It does not necessarily exclude the former, but an available rational answer is often at hand. The ‘it happened for a reason’ crowd, often seems to be hinting at their philosophical or religious world view. They personally know this “reason” truth, while your ambiguity or questioning is seen as being lost or ungrounded. It is kinda like saying; Well the sun is overhead at noon, you who knows not cause and effect. What would be the issue or the lesson of a fact based inherently redundant expression otherwise? Anyway.

Minding the Matter

We know the human mind does influence matter by the actions we take. We also know fairly certainly, that ones attitude effects outcomes as well. We need not necessarily jump into the metaphysical bus to come to this conclusion. Humans do tend to get the results they are looking for, perhaps not consciously, but in their basic assumptions or attitude of life. We can also interpret the world and events through our ideas of cause and effect and reach any number of conclusions, not scientific necessarily, but by the impression of our lens on life.

As a volunteer for restorative justice groups, I get to experience some peoples attitudes towards life that seem to be beyond their awareness. (I suggest we all have some unawareness of our motivations at times). They do not consciously know why they do what they do, nor that they could behave differently, merely by becoming aware of their own biases in perception, then choosing to be different. I also observe these tendencies in my own life, and believe that the vast majority of us do not always know why we do what we do, but we might think; It is what I always do. Or. “That’s the way I am.” Implying I am unchangeable. Indeed, some even think to question oneself is a basic sign of weakness, rather than strength.

We are set up in more ways than one to both, serve others interest unknowingly, as well as work against our own deeper interest, simply because of our own self ignorance and the patterns of action-reaction we have learned. Likely these were modeled by someone influential and not just invented. This introduces an obvious problematic scheme into the relationship equation; we tend to believe we are more honest overall, than many others we come to know. And conversely, we may feel ourselves lacking compared to others in some ways, even envying, resenting or feeling in ways intimidated by those who seem to “have it more together”. Many guru’s represent this sort of yearning for advancement, seekers of knowing Life and Being may have. Overall, religions are constructed to seem to poses such a knowingness.

With our friends, we tend to ignore these seemingly apparent failings, or find them part of character traits, unless we have a falling out. Then in defense, we may find these once overlooked nuisances or interesting behavioral qualities, loom large as some form of deception, or serious personal failings. We can become quite good at analyzing the qualities of others, both positive and negative, yet have only vague notions of our own. I tend to have some awareness of my strengths and failings through time by results, but I may chose to value them differently depending on my mood.

Those invisible to us lenses.

I often hear people giving life a specific religious tag for the very same feeling and experiences I have. Their lens adjustment of interpretation is their belief in their brand of cause and effect. I tend to believe that there is much more than I know, for ostensibly spiritual “reasons”, however, I do not require the specific religious “tag line” to quantify it. I hardly think we know all there is to know about life and being, and am not willing to sacrifice my acceptance of this likelihood of clear reception for conceptualized tag-frames that can actually color and distort my experience of life. In that sense, my religion, my belief system, is to avoid too many fingerprints of preconception by  religions or ideologies cast on my lens. This is a sacred thing to me, and not the lack of belief or faith in that which is greater. Those who have faith in and believe as I do, may well be tagged with being non believers, agnostic or atheistic by the unknowing of the nature of this beliefs cause.

The vast majority of us have a default philosophy. It is usually relative to our upbringing; the kinds of ideas we learned and the kinds of culture we individually grow up in. This is a sort of unconscious guidance. We go to a church, or believe in a God in a certain way because we have learned to. Not necessarily that we have freely decide to. Likewise, other belief systems are inserted into consciousness by other interest. Politics may have been handed down to us by our parents. We are “imprinted” in many ways like this.

We might later on decide that some primary idea of merit has us switch “sides” to a differing view because we feel it is more beneficial to our view on life. Regardless, these beliefs can still be highly subjective and perhaps overtly wrong to our life, but we may not see the forest for the trees we plant in front of our view. The life unexamined, may well be the wrong life lived.

The Ceiling Fan

Often our sense of being, even of necessities of survival, can be hit with a notion or a perception that acts as that whack to the self of a ceiling fan blade. We can lash out in all honesty and just cause, and still remain quite wrong. Just as the bee that stung me, religion and politics, most conceptually trapped ideologies, find that outside their own box, “alien” ideas are a direct and immanent threat. When in fact they may not be that at all to a true self. They may even be the effect of something more honest and containing the enhanced truth of higher awareness. Yet in colored by lens perception, they are large, dark to the core, and threatening survival itself.

Without an objective sense of cause and effect. Without a granting of the dignity of existence to the unknown. Without the permission to question my own beliefs and submit to a higher cause. I can be both believing I am honest, faithful and serving the truth of life, when I am in fact doing the opposite in fundamental ways.

Essentials to understanding this dichotomy of being, is that permission to question all things to prove themselves truly real. In that I must bend my will to the truth of Universal Being, the unshakable Laws of Life. What are the obstacles then, preventing me from not being misguided by the ceiling fans and other diversions in the environment that I assume are causing dissonance? What instead of this primal pursuit into knowledge, is telling me not to question and get to know life intimately, up close and personal, with all its nuance filled pathways and ambiguous explorations into differing colors of the rainbow? Which prestablished conceptions do not allow my own investigations into beingness and deeper purpose meanings to Life and Being?

The invisible obvious balance pointing to Union

Humankind has created many apparently competing assumptions regarding interpretation of life. Some see religious based testing of purity as a final truth of a life. Others see a basic decency and honesty as their core value, with the ends being not a primary concern. Still others see life as another sort of extreme play out of competition itself. The individual is then, in this self centered view, allowed to do whatever it can get away with doing and “enjoying”. Enjoyment is perceived as a penultimate result of successful living. The proof of this “fact” is in the self centered pudding; hedonism is seen as a kind of final fulfillment of the self, a self apparently on its own to get what it wants and enjoy what it gets. The modern world has combinations of these kinds of views sown into societies cultural quilts.

Some are rewarded by suffering and serving without self gain (that love and caring is seen and felt as the “gain” in and of itself). Others do a bit of both. And certainly some of us want all we can get, “within reason” often conditionalized to our apparent station in life, so we plan on how to achieve a list of these getting’s to hopefully fulfil our life.

These folks have a basic optimism, as the prior groups may well have, and see a ladder to success, where one gets to enjoy ones getting on the rungs of the ladder, hopefully moving us upward. Many who feel for some reason socially or institutionally trapped, can have quite a feeling of being held back, and resenting that position seemingly imposed upon them by doings other than their own. Their basic human optimism can be quite tainted by this seemingly human caused condition appearing to ignore them and their dreams.

The millions who play the lottery are likely looking to quick jump to the top of their hypothetical dream life ladder. They want that “good life” “free from worry” (an illusion in most mindsets), and they may well want to spread some of their good luck to family and friends, expanding their winning ground and sense of self, or at least self interest. This suggest we are under economic stress, and a kind of ego fulfillment stress or sense of endemic lack. It also suggest we wish our situation was different in fundamental ways, but adapt as best we can to what we have overall.

There seems to be definite universal qualities to being human, and we tend to have a basic same list of stress and challenges to face individually. It is my sense that we are under one invisible Queen like rule. Some may call this rule Gods will, Spirit, or even Gaia, but whatever this overarching organizing principle is, I seriously doubt that it is actually for selfish, self centered self achievement, or a list centered self actualization’s. Humankind not only has diseases built into its genome for survival reasons, but we can assume that personality types and individual characteristics, though perhaps seeming surely negative, may have overarching positive reasons for being conserved as well. If one believes in a logical and rational universe, as opposed to an existential fear and question fest covered with ritualized behaviors to carry through the day with sufficient mystification and domination undertows.

Missing the boat for all the life preservers floating around.

I contend that we are all in this together more than it appears most of us realize. Do we realize that high intelligence needs to be balanced in humanity by “lower” intelligence, the latter often indicating an unrecognized form of specific high intelligence into other matters? These individual gifts or curses are all for the well being of us all. If this idea is correct, our monetary value system, as well as work (value placed on individual life consciousness) value system, is highly mistaken and corrupted.

We have, in effect, divided ourselves up in many fundamental yet false ways, leaving a kind of supermarket of ceiling fans positioned to hit certain segments of our fellow beings down repeatedly. We also appear to disavow any realization of this continuity and balance of human union, but instead insert many moral or other value tags to explain the need for the continuance of the apparent judgemental disconnections and hierarchical value assessments.

The modern world has gone so far as to propose the assumption, that the collateral damage caused by what may well be an extinction machinery embedded with rampant unaccountable individualism, is a good outworking into progress for modern precepts, these being just and right by all the good stuff. Materialism has these sown up in the modern world, and many of the reactions to materialism lack of apparent guiding Supreme “Soul”, validate many religions into their purging of attempts at objective reasoning with its truly empowered critical thinking abilities in the individual. The very creative Life mechanisms humankind relies on to fulfill its needs.

IGNORING THE QUEEN

The fundamental assumption at question in these words is; What is the consequence of not recognizing the fundamental ordering principles occurring in spacetime? We notice that humankind seems to acknowledge during most of its history some greater Being or Center or Source to Life. I contend that we all have the sensor for this connection in love and the purpose that comes with caring for all things great and small. In many societies, cultures, but especially the modern western world view, a kind of predatory invention has become more refined. It is a machinery without a conscious captain. The captain is the self centered world view and order being imposed upon humankind.

We are taught from our earliest days, to submit to external authority, and to submit to the wills of those beyond us, merely because we are vulnerable. While some of this vulnerability is indeed true, particularly in youth, the concept goes on to permeated and mutate across the fields of human relationships. It has gotten to the equivalent of the might makes right extreme prejudice; that simply possessing more entitles one to take and have more. This is dominator and predatory philosophy. It is as if the bees in the hive decide on their own, to do whatever they heck they want. Never realizing that if the Queen is not returned to, if Center or Source is not recognized as the organizing principle, the hive itself will degenerate. The bees themselves, flying right into the blades of conflict and extinction.

The notions of individual freedom have become divorced from individual responsibilities to the Whole of Life. They are running rampant into corrupt associations of often highly dysfunctional dominator consciousness. Consciousness that have their own sense of Queen like grandeur, without any universal right to so act. To the degree we continue to follow these dysfunctional leaders of separation and alienation from the Whole, humankind will continue to push the earth to the breaking point of its ability to contain counter reality consciousness.

We are in this Garden of Eden called earth, but also called Life and Being. Some take those whispers they hear as their own self enlightenment to take, get and have whatever they can keep for themselves and their “own”. This is being as God, being as the Queen bee. It is fundamentally delusional, for actually you are a member of the one and only human hive.

Quite like bees, we must follow the landmarks and the light source back home.

DEATH TO DEATH?

.

I read some tags again. I must say that many of us out here hovering in cyberspace do have a lot of interesting points to make.

One guy (I assume) had quite the post on tribalism, evolution, social theory, top predator as self predator-hard wired. He began to explain how, we more advanced types need to impose anti tribalism notions back onto Africa to save them from themselves, or from us, I got lost in the bad is good and good not so much connections.

Circles began to form around the rationalizations. I wondered why, if as this guy said; the “dark side” is not as bad as we seem to think, it might have worked for us so lets try it on them again. There is an institutional bias if one sees history as the permanent overlord of human motivation. How can we be sure of any derivations from fateful out-workings as being “good” manipulations?

Tolerance was stated as a higher place of mind, which I would agree with. But take the mind-frame out of human supposedly higher consciousness development, and where are we that is actually that much better? Is not that Doomsday Clock still at 11 something near midnight, thanks to all our supposedly enlightened associations ? African tribes have not particularly been the cause of this Doomsday Clock have they? (Excluding the realization that we are all essentially of African stock.) What about our favorite church, companies and governments trying to have it all their own way in the world?

From who and how is enlightenment going to be imposed on anyone? Is not Iraq deconstructing towards tribal states? How much imposition of the “better” way really works? How often do we repeat these attempts before the hands on the clock strike twelve?

THE MIND RUNNING OFF INTO THE JUNGLE

If the argument is human enlightenment or death of the species, seems quite clear we need enlightenment. I agree that much of what is bad in human nature is there for survival reasons. I do not believe we need to impose another boundary on someone other, from on high, to achieve understanding. Indeed, that now seems a most mechanical, social engineering approach, by those who consider themselves, for any reason, superior.

If imposing institutional order is the only true way of ending human attempts at self annihilation, there seems to remain a problematic reactionary impulse to external human mandates on behavior, regardless of holier motivations. Whether left or right or other orthodoxy, most nations seem to divide in half over the see-saw of which ideas way to go. It amazes me how the two halves then blame the other for problems, while all they have is solutions. Until that pendulum swings and we go back again to the other side. Most religions deconstruct in these ways to many sects (who is the most pure or interpreting correctly abstractions). When will there be this great understanding, given by institutional prescription? Or is there something intrinsically wrong in, effectively external institutional, attempts to impose order for the greater good, despite the individuals own understandings of it?

In all the abstractions of historical perspective unknowingly wrapped in its own views bias, do we ever actually get beyond the individuals responsibility to recognize the Universe her or himself? Is not the real truth apparent in It? To what extent have human consensus realities and all their precepts interfered with the individuals abilities to know self and come to know higher orders of yes and no regarding motivations and results in space-time of social interactions and other environments? What stops humans from a greater awareness of place and interconnectedness beyond eventual reactionary tribal identities?

GOOD IN WHICH WAY FORWARD?

There seems to be a more fundamental human problem; the removal of inherent authority of the individual to know common good as self good. And how to stand up for the personal work to achieve higher understanding based on a selfish self-centeredness that extends to the Whole Universe Itself. An awareness despite the attempts by others to insist ignorance rules self, society and nation-state, and so institutions must impose control. How much more advanced socially are we in the western world, when paranoia of others is so easily put in control? What is left out of the I know better than you equations, regarding individual responsibilities, which actually is the bedrock of humankind?

Why is Love of and for all things, or for anything as far as that goes, never mentioned? How is that phenomenon that makes life most worthwhile, left off of histories or scientific radar?
