Oh. I started with a catchy phrase to get attention, I admit it.

I would think by now there would be some algorithm for it. It being the wedge issue parade that, one way or another, needs to be in place by election time to seduce the susceptible public.

The list is familiar; gay marriage, that somehow means the government is against heterosexuals and their vows; flag burning, which is a non existent scourge that liberals support as a freedom of speech or expression (although I am beginning to believe we have grown exhausted with that one); tax cutting, which magically really means for the extremely wealthy, while the rest of us must pick up the basic public problem slack instead of those who use the country the most; various issues put up by the right to snicker at how clueless-unethical-immoral-irresponsible-dependency oriented-non self realizing-etc., those elitist liberals are. Of course gun control; as if the right to bear arms has not always had implied conditions(you have the right to nuclear weapons?). No wonder the “conservative” party is the roosting post of all those chicken hawks who make a killing financially off of endless war. Just a convenient coincidence I’m sure.

Come election time, we will be led to believe the liberals have been controlling things since Carter. It will be as if all the corruption, contempt of the facts, and plain extraordinary incompetence endemic to the present day conservatives never happened, that it was all due to liberals and their big spending, wasteful ways.

Unfortunately, the media will eagerly present all the coming deceptions, as fair to the balance.
