We can deny it

swim in illusions

form schools of opinion

then settle into our ways

.

We walk on land obviously

a suggestion we are less spirit

will not promote confession

here tarry through our days

.

Our blood bears the ocean

we move through sea life

grow into a human land shell

holding our saltwater hearts

.

All life is inside us

we wait our own return

a wave breaks over emotion

then instantly, we learn
