EDGE OF THE NATIONS DAY REPORT

Today from the edge of the nation nearest me, everything is leafing out. It hasn’t frozen in a long time but the cool winter must have put caution into spring for many things. Much seems to be arriving on winters departure later than usual.

SPEAKING OF SUNLIGHT CHANGES…

Cloudy winters or not, we get 80% of our UV radiation on average by 18. I have gardened, worked in landscaping as an adult and construction from the ground up, so I might have more than my fair share of the suns blessings and consequences. I wonder how most of our grandparents 10 generations back spent their days outdoors or indoors? Probably varied a lot by location, but I would guess a lot more than the average adult these days. The walk to the outhouse or whatever must have been a common one. Then there was the mammoth chase.

SPEAKING OF CHANGES…

We are nearly double an average years tornado’s reported so far. Who knows if that will have any bearing on from now on this year?

New wildflower below cat tail. Small yes, but a fine little flower nevertheless. A shriveled by the sun evening primrose to the upper left, and part of fleabane’s flowers in upper right. This is in a shallow soil part of the yard. Cat is a camera hog.

.
Have a sunny Sunday in you view of things.

Welcome
