I built a small concrete dam late this afternoon. A side wash is constantly cutting a deeper canyon which threatens to leave some of the side yard high and dry. I will probably build two more. They will at times create temporary tiny lakes which will eventually fill up with sand and rock but be good water reservoirs.

I am making these dams to look natural, with rock and water falls, so when the small stream does flow it will make a bit more water music while terracing the stream.
